With rides for all ages and all levels of thrill seeking, it’s sure to be a hit with your group or try your hand at old fashioned midway games and take home a souvenir prize. The Bryan Museum offers a historic look into Texas and the American West. Enjoy casual beachside dining for the whole family at The Spot. Adults will love the ambiance and tropical drinks at Rumshack, a beachfront palapa bar, an excellent sunset spot.

When you pull up to this cheerful Galveston vacation home, you'll find that you can conveniently park two vehicles in the driveway. Open up The Blue Flamingo’s garage door to reveal a ping pong table. You find plenty of beach accessories for your use in the garage including beach chairs, a collapsible wagon and a hard-sided cooler.

The perfect place to relax, The Blue Flamingo has plenty of space for everyone to sprawl out and be entertained. The privacy-fenced backyard gives kids a place to play while you keep an eye on them from the oversized patio furnished with cushioned chairs and a bar counter. Stock the outdoor mini-fridge with cold drinks and snacks and catch a game on the flat screen TV mounted above the bar. Ceiling fans keep you cool in the Texas heat. Enjoy a family cookout in the evening on the BBQ grill...the hanging lights let you stay outside even after the sun has gone down.

Inside, the open floor-plan of the great room, dining area and kitchen keep everyone connected. Grab a board game off the shelf and get ready for family fun. Staying in town or near one of Galveston's Historic Districts has its own set of perks and is very different from the West End or near East Beach. Many in town homes are walking distance to the seawall, the beach, restaurants, shopping, the Historic Strand and Postoffice district, the Pleasure Pier, museums, the Galveston-Bolivar Ferry, plenty of other attractions, things to do, grocery stores, Texas A and M University, Shriner’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and UTMB (University of Texas Medical Branch), one of the largest, most technologically sophisticated emergency care facilities in the world, a level 1 trauma and burn center.

This vacation home should accommodate up to 2 vehicles to be parked at the property. Carpooling is highly recommended. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway or designated parking space. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns, yards or dune. Many HOAs do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, boats, etc. Please contact Ryson with any questions.

Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and cable may not be available on all TVs. Oftentimes additional TVs are available for guests wanting to hook up their own game systems or streaming devices.

All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.

EXTENDED STAYS
Monthly rentals are considered in the off-season - Winter Texans, snowbirds, retirees, corporate stays, medical professionals, university students and plant workers are welcome. Extended stays or monthly rentals require a stay of 30+ nights, and these reservations are tax exempt. This is an immediate savings of 15%! Although most extended stay reservations are between the middle of November through February, extended stays may be considered anytime between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Extended stay reservations may not be placed online, but a Ryson Vacation Planner would love to answer any questions you may have and help you reserve your extended stay.

Love this house!
I love this house tremendously. It is now my go-to Galveston Beach home. It is so close to the beach which is so convenient plus close to the Strand and Gaido's! Not too far from the Pleasure Pier either. The rooms are roomy and there is plenty of room. I brought my daughter and 3 of her friends and they mostly hung out in the game room which is separated from the house and you don't hear a thing! The master bedroom is glorious and the bed is so comfortable. Plenty of room! The kitchen is equipped with everything you need plus a Keurig. The property owners are amazing and went out of their way to contact me to make sure my stay was going well. Its truly my favorite place to stay in Galveston.

No pets!
The house is cute.. but more green than blue. So first, I spent the week before we left trying to determine if we even had a place to stay, which is unacceptable. I made a reservation almost 30 days ahead and then the owners decided not to be pet friendly anymore. No indication to me, just the fact I noticed when my welcoming email arrived a few days before we were to leave. Their house, their rules… but you do NOT change the rules AFTER someone reserves, and stress them out. Lots of little roaches, broken coffee machine, and the second bath has a major backup so doesn’t drain. Front door lock is inconsistent and none of the remotes for tvs have volume control, really? I wanted to love it here, and maybe it was the several days of stress pre trip, never again
