Located on a quite tree lined street, our beautiful leaning lady, The Blue Owl has stood proud for over 123 years. She was finished by famed architect, George Stowe, just before the great storm on September 8, 1900. She floated on the storm surge a full four blocks from where she stands and was miraculously moved back to her original location.

Staying in our 1900 hurricane survivor in Galveston, Texas offers a unique and historically rich experience that immerses guests in the resilience of the past. This remarkable house stands as a living testament to the devastating hurricane of 1900, which remains the deadliest natural disaster in U.S. history. Guests can not only enjoy comfortable accommodations but also gain a profound understanding of the strength and determination of the people who weathered that storm.

Quiet hours 9 pm-9 am.
Vendors have access to the homes on their scheduled day. Service days have the possibility of changing.
A laundry bag will be dropped off 1-2 days prior to departure. No need to worry, please leave it where it has been placed.
This rental property is not used for Nuisance Parties or Unlawful Gatherings. 6 adult maximum plus their dependent children are allowed at the property.
For your safety and security, there may be public-facing cameras installed on the property.
Unauthorized late check-out will incur a penalty of $150 + tax
There is a late check out fee of $75.00 + tax if available, and authorized.
Early check-in IF available is $75.00 + tax

We do our best to ensure guests have a 5-star experience. Guests will be provided with a start-up supply of household items such as laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc so that upon check-in you do not need to run to the store. We do not provide salt, pepper, oils, and spices. If you are staying longer than a few days you will need to purchase these items. Thank you!
