Hideaway, Quiet Eco-Mountain Nature Escape

Hideaway is a self contained apartment in the grounds of Cademont, a QUIET restful eco-estate high in the mountains above the sleepy village of Sant Aniol de Finestres.

The volcanic landscape of Garrotxa offers tranquility, spectacular views and deep immersion in Catalan culture. The space is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. A quiet retreat with quiet hours, no entering or exiting after 22.30hrs. The apartment is completely private with your own varanda area, the apartment is within (but separate) from the Masia (house building). Only 2 guests allowed, no children or pets allowed.

Whether you are on a romantic weekend, need to finish writing your bestselling novel, or just need to get away from it all, this is where you can switch off, go on amazing walks or cycle around some of the most iconic, unspoilt landscapes in Catalunya.

A natural paradise of volcanoes, monasteries, river gorges, majestic peaks, waterfalls and the most incredible flora and fauna. Set on the grounds of a luxury eco-estate with spectacular mountain views, on the edge of La Garrotxa national park, there are no shortage of walks, hikes, rides, wild swimming and adventures you can go on. We will give you tips on where to go, what do do and places to eat and drink.

In the Spring and Summer you can fly directly to Girona and arrive at the grounds within 40 min via car or taxi (private driver on request). In the winter fly to Barcelona and catch the sleek TVG train and arrive in Girona in 38 minutes.

Once you arrive you can park your car (for free) just outside Hideaway cottage and make yourself comfortable with access to the grounds.

The Hideaway will have everything you might need but let us know if you require anything extra, we want you to have the best time possible and hope we can facilitate. Check-in is super easy, you will receive all the necessary info once you have booked.

The sleeping arrangement is made up of two very comfortable large twin beds, with quality Caspar mattresses, John Lewis goose down duvets and pillows, the twin beds can be pushed together as shown in the pictures (can be pushed apart if that is your preferred configuration).

There are two other apartments in the area so if it is high season you may hear and see people outside.

Guest access
The Hideaway, plus estate grounds minus PRIVATE signed off areas of the main house.

Entire grounds apart from our house which is surrounded by a hedge and the upper part of the old stone Masia.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not wander into our private area, there is a sign that says Area Privat, it is our home and you risk our dog barking very loudly at you.

This is a quiet, respectful place where people come for peace and we put nature first so PLEASE recycle and use the organic waste bin provided!

An ECO, Sustainable stay:
We are a sustainable, eco estate. Solar electricity is generated on site. Our water is collected, filtered and purified rainwater. We use minimal plastics and recycle all our glass metal and paper. Please be mindful and use water and electricity sparingly, sheets will be changed after a week in summer and 2 weeks in winter.
