Welcome to Blue Haven Hideaway! Limited availability for some of most picturesque winter riding experiences and world renowned cross country skiing in Wisconsin with direct access to the trail system! Relax with family at this peaceful newly remodeled four bed, two bath, four season cabin located on beautiful Nelson Lake, just 8 miles from downtown Hayward. New deck and fire pit in 2023. Easy access to ATV, snowmobile and mountain biking trails as well as thousands of acres of public hunting land. Snowmobile trail #4 runs right through the middle of Nelson Lake creating access to hundreds of miles of beautiful trails. Cabin is equipped with all new stainless steel appliances and central air. Adult and child kayaks included. Includes a private dock with a space for your boat and is steps away from a shared sandy beach with swimming platform. Note: There are three outside security cameras installed for security and safety purposes. They are pointed at the driveway, the dock and on the walkway. There are no cameras inside the cabin.

Absolutely excellent! Super clean. The beds were comfy. The linens, pillows and towels were top notch. Kitchen had everything you need and more, minus spices. Very nice deck with nice table and chairs. View was fantastic. So quiet! I would highly recommend this property!!!!

We had a great time at Blue Haven! Loved watching the loons everyday. House was very clean and well stocked. Kids enjoyed the kayaks and swim area. Just a note for other boaters, there is no electricity on the dock for boat battery charges. We were able to plug in on the outlet on the deck, but it took 150’ of extension cord.

Blue Haven is awesome

Great property with wonderful accommodations. The location is great. The space is comfortable and cozy. The kayaks were so much fun and the kids had an awesome time swimming and making sand castles on the beach. There were tons of mosquitoes so make sure to bring big spray.

Great family getaway

Great stay! We appreciated that they had everything we needed from a muffin pan/crockpot to a scissors and pencil sharpener. Plenty of space! I was worried from the photos that the living area would feel small - it did not. There was plenty of space. We had a group of 6 (sometimes 7). Communication with the hosts was easy. Having 2 bathrooms was nice. The lake is more of a fishing/pontoon lake than a waterskiing lake, but has a lot of places to explore and is very clear! The dumpster for garbage is nice, but note that there is only one small recycling bin for the whole association so save room to haul your recycling home. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Wonderful Stay

We had a great time during our stay. The cabin was beautiful on the inside, so clean, new and fresh.. It has everything you need including awesome views of the lake. Access to the snowmobile trail is right out the door. It was also nice that its a short drive into town. We will definitely come back again in both winter and summer. Thanks again for such a nice place.

Our family fell in love with Nelson Lake years ago and were thrilled when we had the opportunity purchase Blue Haven Hideaway. With three school age boys we do not have the time to enjoy the property as much as we’d like so we decided to share it with our guests. We really enjoy sharing all the things we love about the lake and Hayward with those that stay with us. Blue Haven Hideaway is the perfect mix between the peace of the Northwoods, recreational boating, fishing, trail riding, skiing and enjoying the city of Hayward.

Our property is unique in that it is set up perfectly for two families. Formally a duplex, the cabin was remodeled as a family home with creating priceless family memories in mind. We’ve made very efficient use of the space available within the original footprint prior to the remodel. With a slight grade to the water, it’s perfect for guests of all ages to enjoy.
