The cabin is a recently updated one story home with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We have a modest rushing creek that runs the entire length of the property and can even be heard from inside the cabin when windows are open. It's not uncommon to see different species of birds, deer, butterflies, and turkey!

Bedrooms

The primary en suite bedroom has a king sized bed, Roku TV and Blu-ray player, and features an open concept bathroom with stand up shower, and dual sinks (there is a large wall for privacy but no doors). There is also an entrance to the screened in patio from the master bedroom. The second en suite bedroom features a queen sized bed, television, DVD player, and bathroom with stand up shower. Both bathrooms have a starter supply of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper.

Living Room

The open living room has a sofa, decorative fireplace (not to be used), desicated workspace with desk, and television with Roku stick and Blu ray player. You can also find some books, DVDs, Blu-rays, and games.

Kitchen

The eat in kitchen is has all that you need to prepare a home cooked meal while on vacation. You will find stainless steel appliances including refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, grind and brew coffee maker, and airfryer. Plates, bowls, glasses, cups, flatware and some bake ware items are stocked in the cabinets. A starter supply of coffee, sugar, tea, creamer, dish soap, and trash bags are provided.

Outdoor space

There is so much room to spread out and enjoy the outdoors and nature! You can choose to relax on the front porch while birdwatching in the morning, or you can enjoy a meal in the screened in porch. The cabin features a flat yard where you will find a picnic table, firepit, charcoal grill, and hot tub which are all creekside! Enjoy s'mores and camp stories by the fire, outdoor games such as cornhole, or relax in the hot tub while stargazing. Please note that guests will have to provide their own firewood and charcoal.

Location details

Our cabin is located right off of a county maintained road. The gravel driveway can accommodate 3 cars as well as motorcycles. This road can have some light neighborhood traffic coming and going so please be sure to keep dogs leashed and supervise children and pets at all times.

Very easy, host had it all taken care off. Location was great easy excess to Bryson city and with in a short drive to Cherokee, Gatlinburg, Smokey Mtn national park. House was just as advertised. Great place for a weekend get away.

the house was exactly as advertised. Our favorite parts were the creek, the tub and the porch. Communication with host was great. Will definitely book for our next trip to NC mountains.

A must stay!

Our family has a cabin a few miles higher on the mountain. Our family has grown so much that my sister and I alternate years renting a cabin while the other stays at the family cabin. For years we have passed by your property and always wanted to rent it. We are so glad we did. It exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much. We look forward to renting it again in the future. FYI the little extras like dish pods, Pam spray, etc made a great impression on us as well as my sister when she stopped by. Most places provide bare minimum so you have to add all those little extras to your Ingles trip. Felt very homey and comfortable. This property is just like being at your own home. It does not feel like you are staying in some rigid rental company property. The beds and furniture are very comfortable, property is clean, and kitchen is loaded with all the necessary utensils to actually cook. Highly recommend renting this property!

Beautiful place

The best place to stay if you're not handicapp. Dining table and chairs are all high therfore my husband had to eat at the desk, he could not get in the high chairs. We would love to go back if they could correct this one problem. Everything else was perfect.

Hot tub broken

Communication with property manager was excellent however hot tub was broken and the inside jacuzzi. We rented this particular house because of the hot tub/ jacuzzi and both were broken. We were very disappointed

The indoor Jacuzzi has never worked and is listed as a soaking tub only in multiple places on the listing (property description and rental agreement). Our hot tub was out of order due to circumstances out of our control, however it was promptly fixed and is in perfect working condition.

Just OK- needs some adjustments

We stayed at Whiskey's Creekside Cabin for the past 5 nights. The location of the cabin was good. It is about 15 minutes from downtown Bryson City, close enough to access the Nantahala Outdoor Center and Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. We were able to do several hikes on our list for western NC within a 45 minute drive. The home is located right off of a straight stretch of road and is easily accessible without an SUV or four wheel drive. The creek was wonderful, and our girls (8 and 10 years old) played in it each day. Unfortunately, there was some road noise that was pretty constant in the mornings and evenings as people drove to town and back for the day. It definitely disrupted the peace as we were roasting marshmallows on a couple of nights to constantly hear vehicles zooming by. The noise was loud enough to hear inside the home, and started up by 7am each morning. The house itself had very comfortable beds and linens, and the kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked! There were laundry and dish pods, extra toilet paper, and the knives were sharp (a rarity in short term rentals!). There were thoughtful touches like makeup towels and makeup remover wipes. Additionally, the screened in porch was a really lovely place to read while watching the children play in the creek or small yard. However, it is worth noting that the master bathroom does not have any doors on it to close it off from the master bedroom. There is a wall that the TV is mounted on opposite the bed, and it is open from floor to ceiling on each side of the TV. This was not reflected in the listing photos and it does affect the privacy of the person who is using the restroom. Although the listing for this home suggests that it sleeps six, I think it would be better suited to a couple or maybe two/three friends. There is seating for three in the kitchen (plus two counter stools) and on the porch furniture. Our family of four found it hard to gather for dinner because we couldn't all sit at the same table. We wanted to play a game of cards in the living space, but our only option was the carpeted floor. I hope the owners will consider making some small adjustments in order to make this cabin more suitable for small families, or change the listing to reflect its true capacity.

Thank you for your review of our family's vacation home, however your review is misleading as we have portrayed our home accurately both in the description and the photos. Please be aware that this is not a cookie cutter home and has it's own character, and we strive to ensure our guests are comfortable. To address some of the faults you mentioned, we do have an older style home in which the large master bathroom does not have doors, however there is privacy due to the large wall which creates separation. Noise may travel, but the his and her sinks, stand up shower and toilet are not directly visible front the bedroom. This is reflected in the photos we have posted in our listing and we are aware that the layout may not be suitable for everyone's preferences. The second bathroom is fully enclosed. As for the dining table seating, that is also reflected in our photos as well. There are extra stools that could be placed around the table so that your family of 4 could sit together. As you mentioned, there is also a 4 seater dining table on the screened in porch to dine and enjoy the sounds of the creek. We are constantly updating our furniture and cabin over time as this is our family vacation home turned rental. The photos reflect what we have to offer currently. Our cabin is located off of a state maintained neighborhood road (as mentioned in the listing) and there may be road noise from neighbors coming and going, however it is not a major city road. Many of our guests like the ability to drive any type of car or motorcycle up to our cabin and not have to worry about steep driveways or narrow access roads. It sits on 1/3 acre and is private and far away from other houses. We are sorry our home did not meet your expectations and hope you can find accomodations more suitable for your preferences in the future.

Cozy, well maintained cabin

Cabin is cozy, clean, well maintained and the kitchen is well stocked. It's a good location to explore the greater Bryson City area and it's within 15 minutes of everything you want to see. However I had to take off one star because one of the master bed room is completely open. Meaning there isn't a separate bathroom, it's just a wall between the bed and the toilet area, and no doors. No privacy at all. I took off another star because the property is right up against a semi busy road with no fence. So if you're outside with children or pets you have to keep a really close eye on them. Overall a good stay, but with those 2 items, there could be better options for me for my next stay.

Creekside Haven

This home was perfect for our group. Beds were super comfortable and linens soft. Great walk in shower in master and plenty of fluffy towels. It was great that they had a furbaby box with some older towels and chew toys. Kitchen was well stocked. The screened in back porch was a big plus and where we spend the majority of our time listening to the babbling brook, the birds singing and butterflies flitting around. A wonderful respite from city noise. Phone reception and internet was spotty a few times, but we had a day or two with heavy thunderstorms. The cabin is about 15 min from Bryson City center. Going up the mountain was fairly easy with a few curvy spots. The road was well maintained and you don't feel crowded meeting other vehicles (I drive a Surburban). Our host Farah was really sweet and very responsive with all inquires. We can't wait to visit this wonderful home again.

My husband and I have been traveling to Bryson City for years and decided to finally purchase a home here. We fell in love with the small town charm and the closeness to the Smokies. This is the area that we go to reset.

Location, Location, LOCATION! We love the fact that our home sits right on a moderate sized creek, we can see the mountains, and that it is so easily accessible! We wanted a place that was rural but easy to drive in to and this cabin has it all. We've seen everything from different species of birds, tons of butterflies, deer, synchronous fireflies, and wild turkey.

We love that we have a peaceful rushing creek that we can hear from almost anywhere on the property and still have a mountain view. Nothing beats soaking in the hot tub, listening to the creek while star gazing.
