Owl’s Landing in Southern Shores

Owl's Landing is a beautifully-appointed one-bedroom, one-bath guest house that is designed for two adults. Nestled among the oak trees of Southern Shores, our property is located on a quiet residential street, yet is near all major attractions. This private oasis is perfect for those looking to relax at the beach. It's only an 8-minute walk (2-minute car ride) to the sand and surf! Enjoy fantastic restaurants in Duck, wild mustangs in Corolla, golf in Kitty Hawk, kayaking in Nags Head, horseback riding in Frisco, and so much more.

Your beach getaway sits high on a dune, with a private second-level entrance (with keyless entry) that opens to a spacious living room and kitchenette. Notable amenities include 60” Smart TV, cable, Wi-Fi, full-size refrigerator (with refreshments), coffee maker (with coffee/tea), microwave, toaster, toaster oven, towels, and paper products, as well as dish/silver/glassware, and a dishwasher!

For maximum comfort and convenience during your stay, there’s a king-size bed, solar black-out shades throughout, walk-in closet, washer/dryer, clothes iron, luggage rack, clock, and full-length mirror.

The granite and tile bathroom has all the essentials – towels, tissues, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, you name it! Also available are books, magazines, games, and playing cards. Outdoor equipment and games that are at your disposal… beach umbrella, chairs, towels, cooler, boogie boards, and corn hole.

Beyond the beach, there’s an amazing array of cultural sites to explore, such as the Wright Brothers National Memorial, Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, Elizabethan Gardens, Nags Head Woods Preserve, and the popular Lost Colony Outdoor Theater on Roanoke Island. Animal lovers won’t want to miss the North Carolina Aquarium, also on Roanoke Island. After all that fun in the sun, rinse off in the outdoor show, kick back on the upper/lower deck, hang in the hammock, play corn hole, and then take in the nightlife!

Other things to note:
- Our guests have a dedicated parking spot at the top of the driveway, in front of the porch swing.
- Note that a Ring floodlight/security camera is directed toward the driveway. A Ring doorbell camera is located at the main house's front door, which is not visible from the driveway or guesthouse. There are no other security devices located on the property.
- We provide a Southern Shores parking pass. It must be returned, otherwise a $75 replacement fee applies.
- Entry to the guesthouse and garage is via the keyless touchpad; we'll provide you with the code prior to your arrival.
- All beach-related items (chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc.) are in the garage.
- For the golfers out there, don't forget to ask us about special guest rates at Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk.
- This is a non-smoking, pet-free guest house. An additional $150 cleaning fee will be charged to those that use smoke-masking deodorizer and/or perfume, or cologne.
- There will be no discounts if an insect is encountered. That said, you may see ants, spiders, water bugs, dragonflies, mosquitos, and bees, as well as lizards, birds (Southern Shores is a bird sanctuary), deer, possums, you name it. To ensure insects do not enter the guest house, we urge everyone to keep the guest house door closed at all times. In the evenings, keeping the porch lights turned off also helps.
