Lovely, peaceful, comfortable!!
Our group of 6 adults and one teen LOVED our stay here. Property is wonderful inside and outside. Gorgeous patios and decks overlooking Lake Catherine, awesome fire pit with plenty of wood, nice patio lights create a warm ambiance for a large group to spend time together. Plenty of outdoor chairs for everyone.
Inside, bedrooms are spacious and welcoming with an abundance of pillows and quality bedding. Lots of soft snowy towels in the bathrooms.
Living areas are comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped to make any meal you imagine with enough dishes, serve ware, & silverware for a big group. Large outdoor griddle is great for burgers, veggies, steak, fish! Note it is NOT a grill.
This beautiful spot was perfect for our group. The home is in a very quiet area; we took walks along the picturesque winding road and never saw anyone else. Boat launch is close by. 11 min drive to beach at Lake Catherine State Park where they have a changing room & bathrooms as well as pontoon, kayak, and canoe rentals. 25 min drive to Hot Springs to take in the healing waters, shop, or have your choice of many restaurants. The pool is a short drive away, but wasn't open at the time of our visit in early April. There is no water access directly from the property.
Overall, visiting this home was like staying with a very thoughtful host. Our group would return in a heartbeat! One of the nicest vacation properties I have ever visited.
