Disappointed
First, let me say that we do not need 5-star accommodations when we travel. We are very easy-going and basically want a clean place with a comfy bed. Very simple. This was a disappointing stay . The property is very “lived in” . The shower was not exactly great and was a bit dirty and gross . There were a bunch of little things that are neglected too. Only two little track lights in the kitchen, one of which was burnt out. There were bottles of shampoo , conditioner and shower gel in the shower which was a nice gesture….except the shower gel was bone dry and had been empty for quite some time. Also, bags of half eaten food and hotel cookies left in the cupboard , has us questioning how well it is cleaned? And there was one roll of toilet paper ….not any extra at all. But the most frustrating thing was that on our day of check in, the host was unresponsive. When we finally got an email response from him, the email said that checkin was at 3…..but he didn’t send the email until almost 4….and we had been waiting ! Then we go to the desk to actually check in and they tell us , that no check in isn’t at 3, it’s at 4. As I said…we don’t need a lot. But basic cleanliness and a responsive just are important when we travel. I read a lot of reviews before purchase or book things , so I appreciate honest reviews and I felt a need to post one.
