Welcome to Pleasant Pines Retreat

This beautiful custom home is located at the end of a quit neighborhood street in the the town of Oakhurst. You will only be 5 minutes from town, yet it feels like you are out in the forest. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings shared with the wildlife here. You are likely to see deer, wild turkeys, fox, racoons, a lot of birds and even the occasional bear, mountain lion or coyote. It's only about a 20 minute walk into town. Oakhurst is big enough to likely have everything you will need like Restaurant's and shops, grocery stores, pharmacy's, banks, post office and auto parts. Yet is has a small town feel. See our guest guide for a list of restaurants and other things to do in the area.

Inside you will find three beautiful bedrooms, all with comfortable beds, extra places to sit, dressers and ceiling fans. The master bedroom has a 50" flat screen TV and an electric fireplace.

The living room has a brand new, large sectional leather sofa with electric recline, lumbar and headrests. There is also a 65" smart TV and a ceiling fan. The large, well-appointed kitchen has custom high-end cabinetry and granite slab counters, including a center island with lots of room to cook your own gourmet meals. Enjoy the view of the built-in waterfall on the patio though the kitchen window.

Ready to relax? Come out to the private patio and enjoy a cold drink or your morning coffee on the brand new patio furniture with the fire pit table while enjoying the birds and the mountain view. Or enjoy the stars at night while relaxing in the brand new 7 person hot tub with the sound of the waterfall.

You will be about a 45 minute drive from the south gate of Yosemite and about 15 minutes from Bass lake.

Security:
There are outdoor security cameras on the property. One on the patio, one along the front of the house and the doorbell camera on the front porch. These cameras are not monitored regularly and will only be checked in the event that a crime is committed, (theft, burglary, etc.). Pursuant to VRBO requirements, we are disclosing that the patio security camera does have about 1/4 of the hot tub in its viewable area.

Close to Town

Perfect for short 2 day stay since property is in a neighborhood with families right next door. Anything longer try for a country property. For short stays would definitely return. Close to Mariposa grove and Oakhurst shopping center for convenience.

Love the house!

The property was everything we expected and more! It was clean and spacious. We loved the TVs in every room! We especially enjoyed the waterfall! We’re already making plans to come back sometime next year!

Perfect… in every way!

The home was absolutely gorgeous! 15 minutes from Yosemite entrance, had all the extras which made you feel like you were home! Super clean, hot tub was awesome, solar lights that lit up the back yard with the waterfall was just stunning! If you are coming to Yosemite it is a must stay!!!! We loved it!!!

Perfect central location and comfortable

Great location and home for us to explore Bass lake and Yosemite. Kitchen is well stocked, especially the coffee pods and tea selection. Plenty of utensils, pots and pans to cook comfortably. The only thing to keep an open mind is the swamp cooler during peak heat hours between 1pm and 5pm where the interior could get in the lower 80s. But the cooler is very effective through the night and early morning hours as it will keep you cold. We loved the hot tub and the waterfall, both features we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you, Dan for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful home!

My wife and I live in San Jose, CA. I bought this house as retirement home but I will not be retiring for at least three years. I was born in San Jose but one of my favorite places to visit has always been the Sierra Nevada Mountains. My wife is from Brazil and has been in the US for about 10 years now.

I wanted a home that was out of the San Joaquin valley but below the snow line.
We still get a small amount of snow each year but just enough to make it pretty.
I also wanted a home that was in a smaller town and somewhat rural feeling.

If you like to view wildlife, you will love it here. There are a lot of deer and wild turkeys. You will often see fox, raccoons, and occasionally a coyote, mountain lion or bear. There are also a lot of birds.
