Wenn Sie nach etwas abseits der Touristenpfade suchen, haben Sie es gefunden! Out an der Nordspitze der Insel Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, ist das Haus in der St. entfernt Margaret Dorf, in Bay St. Lawrence. Vom 8x28 Fuß Vorderdeck haben Sie einen Panorama, freie, unbebaute Ansicht als die Sonne in den Ozean. In der Saison können Sie den lokalen Hummer oder Schneekrabbe in der Bucht vor Ihnen gefangen genießen.

Nicht weit weg von der Cabot Trail, ist das Haus ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Golf auf Highland Links in Ingonish (einer der Top-rated Golfplätze der Welt), Whale Watching oder Hochseefischen von Kai der Nähe Fischer oder die Wanderung der Highlands Festival . Cape Breton Highlands Nationalpark ist nur 10 Meilen entfernt, wo es Wanderwege und andere Aktivitäten im Sommer. Unsere Familie Stellen mindestens ein Elch und ein Bär in diesem Park jedes Jahr! Es ist ein Nervenkitzel für die Kinder!

Direkt im Ort ist eine freundliche Community Center mit Internetzugang (sowie Tischtennis für die Kinder und einen Basketballkorb). Es gibt einen lokalen Supermarkt mit allen Grundlagen. Ganz in der Nähe des Gemeindezentrums ist ein Eisstand, der groß ist für ein schnelles Abendessen auch.

Es ist ein Paradies für Vogelliebhaber. Beobachten Sie die Adler schweben, fliegen die Trottellummen in die und aus der unten Klippen oder die Basstölpel tauchen in den Ozean von der Hütte. Vielleicht sehen Sie sogar die gelegentliche Walherde in der Bucht, während Sie entspannen oder Lesen auf dem Deck sitzen.

What a beautiful spot. Truly out of the way, which meant for longer drive times into both sections of the national park and beyond, and minimal conveniences in the village, but also meant extreme quiet, privacy, and unspoiled beauty. For us, that was just right.

What a wonderful spot to unwind, relax and explore. The cottage was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The tempest winds up on the hill were quite intense and strangely comforting at the same time! Horizontal rain and chilly air gave way to a beautiful next morning with the sun shining in on the bedroom and pure clean ocean air to breathe in. Needless to say, our trip was more than I expected and was so very special in so many ways. Maegan was very easy to get hold of and made sure we were checked in and comfy. My dog loved the huge yard to run and explore, and I am sure the chipmunks and rabbits were happy to have him leave! Thank you again for sharing your family cottage and history!

What a location!!! This spot is a bit of a dream, it’s where you could write a book… or read a book(s), as our family did. It is a basic little cabin, offering what you need to escape from the world for a short time. The beds were very comfortable, perfect for all of us (4 adults). Make sure to bring any specialty items - food options at the tip of Cape Breton are limited (there is a small store with basics). We bought lobster in the harbour and had a fabulous dinner in the cabin. We also loved Bay St Lawrence as a base - we visited Dingwall, Meat Cove and did the Skyline Trail from there. Great memories were made all round!!One note - the booking is in US dollars, even though the location of the property is in Canada (we assume this is because the owner is American). This can mean that the cost is a little more than advertised, depending on your credit card fees and exchange rates.

Absolutely beautiful location, remote without being incredibly isolated. Great spot for access to hiking, biking, or just laying low. It had everything you need with a general store nearby, a kitchen and fridge, good shower, etc.

First and foremost Meagan was fantastic with all aspects of their wonderful wonderful house! Can’t say enough good things about her communication with me other than to say it was outstanding. I would recommend their house to anyone who is looking for an unbelievable view and coziness! We enjoyed every minute there! The privacy that comes with this home is unparalleled. It’s perfect for 2-4 adults and possibly with children. It has everything one needs to get the most out of their stay in this beautiful area!!!

Wow, what a wonderful spot on this earth

Small, cozy cabin at the end of the world. What a wonderful place to stay. We absolutely loved it. The kitchen is well equipped and we didn‘t miss anything. The beds were comfortable and we loved having 2 rooms (a snoring problem), yet so close next to each other. We would always love to come again. Great little harbor with lots of lobster fishing going on. The supermarket is right in the little village and well equipped.

Excellent property, exactly as shown in the add

We had a great time at the cottage. It was clean and has everything you need. We spent our days walking the beach and hiking some local trails. Afterwards, you can walk down to the wharf and buy lobster right off the boat. We did and loved it! For us it was a bit overcast for a good sunset but it would be a great spot to view from. If you want a secluded fishing community for some peace and quiet, while still having a lot of sites to see, this is it.

Worth the Drive - Trust Us!

This is our second summer visit to this beautiful cottage, and we've already booked for next year! Amazing space stocked with everything you need. The cottage has stunning views from all directions and in the most beautiful place in the world. Beaches, hikes, the national park, whales! Truly a gem.

Amazing spot

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The location was spectacular with gorgeous sunsets and so private. The cottage had everything we needed to cook some meals and enjoy the evenings on the deck. We used it as a base to explore the park and nearby beaches and hikes. Everyone we met and communicated with - the owners and the caretaker - were incredibly helpful and responsive. It's definitely on our list for a return visit!

The most stunning view in Nova Scotia

We have been staying here for years and adore it and Bay St. Lawrence. Stunning views in all types of weather and the charming cottage is perfectly set up for a week or longer stay. We hike, blueberry pick, whale watch (have spotted from the deck many times), fish, golf kayak, swim and enjoy the local restaurants. We will be back (again)!
