Texas Sun Cabin: Eight Acres with Trails and Amazing Sunset Views

This family cabin is nestled on 8 acres with trails and views to discover. Get lost in nature and connect with family and friends!

We’re committed to providing squeaky clean, comfortable living quarters for every stay! We want you to rest assure that you can relax in comfort without worrying about germs on touch surfaces. We’re going above and beyond to make sure house is cleaned thoroughly between each guest.

KITCHEN: Fully equipped kitchen to cook or just make cocktails. Full refrigerator with freezer ready to be stocked with home-cooked meals. Ice trays provided in freezer. Several pots and pans to cook most dishes. Plates, bowls and lots of glassware. Spoons, forks, knives and all sorts of assorted utensils are provided. Nespresso coffee maker provided although you may want to bring your favorite sweeteners and creamers. Nespresso pods are always stocked. French Press and drip also available. Gas stove with oven and four burners. There is a fire extinguisher located under the kitchen sink.

There are 2 structures on the property; CABIN & GARAGE

CABIN: a total of 4 sleeping areas; two private bedrooms, living room and loft:

MAIN BEDROOM: This petite main bedroom has one queen size bed with two bed side tables. This room has a private bathroom.

SECONDARY ROOM: The second bedroom has a Queen bed with built in ledge and phone chargers. This room has shared access to bathroom (also accessible through kitchen).

LIVING ROOM: The living room has a day bed with trundle system. Two comfortable twin beds, with the trundle under and plenty of spare blankets and sheets in the storage bin tables.

KIDS LOFT: We call it the Star Loft- because there is a big window to star gaze at night! Two twin mattresses for the kiddos, video games, board games, books and the best part, No Parents Allowed! The kids will love it up here!

AC/HEAT: Central Air HVAC system. Please turn AC to 75 at checkout in warm months and 70 in the cold months.

GARAGE: A total of 2 sleeping areas; loft and living room.

LOFT: two full size beds open up to the game room below.

LIVING ROOM: the living room area has a twin daybed with a brand new twin mattress.

The garage is the perfect place for a little competition! Play a game of ping-pong, pop-a-shot basketball, video games, arcade games, and more!

There is a mini-split system for climate control, and there is electricity. There is no bathroom in the garage. The only two bathrooms are in the main cabin.

New mattresses and have been added to all beds. Four hundred-thread count cotton sheets and duvets as well.

OUTSIDE: Light the fire pit and live in or out! There are outdoor chairs for lounging by the fire pit and we provide you with a S'mores starter kit! Enjoy meals outside in the evenings or listen to birds chirping while enjoying coffee in the mornings. Take a dip in the Cowboy Pool to cool off from the Texas Sun. Relax with a good book in one of the lounging hammocks under the trees. Explore one of the many trails and rock forts hidden throughout the property. Take in the views and toast some wine to the Texas Sun! Always check Young County Burn Bans before starting outdoor fires.

There is a trail cam on the west side of the property near the deer feed. The camera is facing east. The trail cam only takes photos, no video no sound. The cabin and fire pit area are not in range of the camera so you can enjoy your privacy.

BATHROOMS: The main room bathroom is cozy with walk-in shower and the guest bathroom is a full tub and shower combo. Toilet and vanity of course! You’ll find a blow-dryer available should you need. The petit main bathroom is a full bathroom with standup shower only.

WIFI: We have high-speed Internet with a googlmesh system! Take Zoom meetings with ease and enjoy streaming multiple devices at once. It rocks!


PETS: We love pets! Please be a responsible pet owner and clean up after your pet. You are responsible for picking up all “gifts” left in yard. We want every stay to be extremely clean and that takes a lot of work! Especially if you have a long fur pet. They can leave fur everywhere! PLEASE, do not allow pets on sofa. If you must sleep with your pet we ask that you put a throw down. We want everyone to be comfortable so please help us keep things clean after your pet. You will be fined or asked to replace furniture if pets destroy furniture by chewing or using the bathroom on rugs or furniture that cannot be cleaned or fixed.
You can bring up to 2 pets on your stay with a pet fee of $50. This fee is paid to our cleaners to ensure the cabin is cleaned thoroughly after each pet's stay for our next guests.

PARKING: We have plenty of free parking with a gravel roundabout. Please stay off of the grass. There is an outdoor camera on the East side of the shop building facing the parking lot. This is a security camera with flood light that detects movement and records sound. It does not pick up any community areas so you can enjoy your privacy.

RV HOOKUPS: We do have the capacity to accommodate one RV and we charge an additional $50 per night. Please check with us before booking this options so we can confirm you’ll home on wheels will fit our space.

POOL: We recently added a stock tank pool to our property, making your stay at the Texas Sun Cabin even cooler (pun intended)! The pool is open May - September. The pool has a pump that runs 2 hours every morning on a timer. This keeps the water and chemicals circulated to keep the pool clean. We check the water and chemical levels in-between each guest and adjust accordingly. The pool is chlorinated. There is NO LIFEGUARD on duty. Swim at your own risk.

MISC: Do not sneak in additional guests or pets that are not approved ahead of time. Absolutely no parties.
