The beach is within a 10 minute walking distance, and nearby shopping malls, banks, grocery stores and fast food and local restaurants are all within a 5 minute walking distance. Local buses are accessed easily and key tourist locations such as The Atlantis Resort & Paradise Island, downtown shopping districts, movie theaters and cultural hot spots can all be reached within a 15 minute drive

Nice and Cozy

I had an amazing time in Nassau.The rental was really clean and cozy, located in a very private gated location in the Bahamas not far from town. The unit had all of your basic needs, supplied by the owner towels, cooking utensils etc.. It was a pleasure interacting with the owner, especially going out of his way to make sure all of your needs were met, thank you for a memorable time

Quick trip

This property suited us as we were there as my wife brother was having surgery. This property was very close to where he lives it worked for us. The unit was clean, there is lots of support from the owners. It is away from the busy part of the island so you need a car to go anywhere. There are things that the property managers can’t control, such as the pool, nice to sit around but I don’t think it is maintain very well. We never went in it, the whole complex is dated any it needs a complete overhaul.

Good spot for solo travel

The Madarin, is located in a gated community off of Village road. Which at the time has alot of construction work on the road. If you don’t know your way around it, you can get a little lost. You need transportation to access. Even though I’m sure walking is fine, it is a little close to high traffic areas. The property and unit is very comfortable. I did have trouble finding parking, little did I know there were tags for the property parking, which upset one of the unit owners as I parked in their slot (my bad) but other than that it was nice. Again tangerine sunset property managers are so helpful and communicative. They make sure you are safe and sound. I will stay again.

Clean and comfortable!

My friend and I absolutely loved our stay. The room was decorated in a modern fashion and was SUPER CLEAN. I especially loved the sliding doors to the bedroom, allowing some privacy. My friend slept on the couch, which she found very comfortable. I appreciated the closet with hangers so I could hang up my clothes. There was also a full-length mirror in the closet. We took advantage of the bus stop directly across the road. This place is a steal!

´´Worth the trip!

´´Worth the trip! - When we first got to the villa we were shocked to see all of the barred windows and razor wire. We didn't realize what we got ourselves into. We had no trouble at all. Once we figured out the bus system, we enjoyed our trip more. Once that shock wore off we learned to love the area. Our stay was amazing! Montague Beach is a short walk away and it is where locals go to relax and go to the fish market. The market is awesome for fresh fish and conch. We utilized the kitchenette a lot on our visit. The villa was nice and cozy and cooled down with the A/C relatively fast. One thing that could be improved would be the lack of toiletries for long stays. Other than that customer service was on point to help with issues as they arose. ´´

Homely Getaway in Nassau

Duran's place is as described and as the images show. Tastefully decorated, and located in a gated community. It was easy to check in and check out. The apartment was clean and aerated. Clean and neat utensils available for cooking; mops etc. for cleaning if you had any spills. Air conditioner was present as well as two fans - I didn't need to use them much due to the time of year, outside was mostly chilly. I really have no complaints at all. Everything was good for me. I had a friend who could drive me around but even so the bus stop is right at the gate, the welcome guide (EXCELLENT TOUCH) tells you all you needed to know. There are shops and fast food restaurants close by as well as a beach. An overall good experience and I recommend without reservations.

Good value!

This property is located on the east side of the island near Montegu Beach. The inside is neatly appointed. The bed slept well and there is air conditioning and ceiling fans to keep the place cool. The TV has all the well known channels and the Wi-Fi worked well. You can stock up on groceries as there is a full size fridge, plus cooking utensils, a microwave, tea kettle, and coffee pot. The bathroom had nice sized towels and shower warmed up nicely. This is condo/apartment living at a great value on the island. I would definitely stay again.

Cozy, well appointed, & great value

My SO and I stayed at a different Tangerine Sunsets property about a year or so ago so we felt very comfortable booking this place. The pictures are very accurate. As a side note I love the floors and want to rip out the hardwoods in my house and put in similar flooring. Everything you need is available including TV/cable, Wi-Fi, phone, full size fridge, stove, microwave, coffee pot, dishes/pots/utensils, dishwashing liquid, paper towels, bath soap, bath/face towels, iron/ironing board etc. We had a car and the designated parking spot was great when we came back late in the evening--didn't have to jockey for parking. This place is located very close to Montegu Beach. The Harbor Bay shopping center is about a 10 minute drive away and it has a large food store, liquor store, and many other shops so you can get whatever you need. I also want to compliment the owners on providing very good directions and instructions for how to get to and access the property. We were held up at the airport later than expected because the airline misplaced my bag. We followed the directions from the airport and found the property pretty easily and then we got in through the gate and then entered the property with no issues. Also note that even if you do not have a car to move around the island, there is a bus stop directly across the street. This is a very good option for travelers that want to embed themselves in a community and have a more local experience.

Tangerine Sunsets-Exemplary Customer Service

My first visit to Nassau, Bahamas was quite an experience. Eager to get out on the water my first day there, I had scheduled various boating excursions prior to arriving to Nassau. Despite cancellations of my pre-paid excursions (due to it being off-season), Bridgette, with Tangerine Sunsets (at Montagu Villas) went beyond the call of duty to try and find similar activities that week, calling me in the evenings with her updates, and to ask how my day went. She did recommend walking down to the Ferry Terminal on Paradise Island (immediately off the Exit Bridge) and getting there early to see if there were any openings for day trips to the out-islands. I did manage to get the last seat on a speed boat to Exuma. Excellent! First day back at the villas, my room was clean and equipped with a kitchen with pots, pans, and dishes, etc. so I was able to prepare breakfast and dinner daily while enjoying lunch on the town. Montagu Villas is protected within a gated community, is on the bus line, and is about a 15 minute walk to the Montagu Bay beach or 50-60 minute walk to downtown. The air conditioner in the bedroom worked well as did the two ceiling fans and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. The only recommendation for improvement would be to add dish towels and measuring cups in the kitchen and brochures of activities in the sitting room. Recommended restaurant and activities: "Oh Andros" (Fish Fry-near the zoo, #10 bus or 15 minute walk from downtown), Athena Cafe (Greek-downtown, eat outside), Graycliffe Chocolate Shop - the "Interactive" chocolate making class-1 hour, and Islandz.com 2 hour tour called "Monuments and Memories" with Maria Lee. Relish a quiet beach at Goodman's Bay where locals go (west side of island, west of the Fish Fry) or the noisier-crowded-very touristy-MTV crowd but beautiful long beach at Cabbage Beach (on Paradise Island). All in all, for my first visit to Nassau, my stay at Tangerine Sunsets was a sigh of relief. Travelling solo, I knew I was in good hands and am glad I choose Tangerine Sunsets. February 2013.

Small but comfy!

I've stayed in this apartment the 2nd week of my vacation. It was a bit smaller than the fairchild villa but still i was very comfortable and really enjoyed my stay! The People in this gated unit are very nice.I would def. go back there as well! thank you for everything!

not quite good

we arrived to no water the first day, the second day the electricity went off. the apartment below us was ransacked the next day.the fourth night the airconditioner started making so much noise we had to turn it off. a call to the named person on the information provided on sat morning did nothing so we called the agent who said he would try on monday he called bact to say he would call us as he had a repair man lined up. no one showed up. luckly it turned cool and the place cooled down. without the ac to drown the other tennants noise down it was tough to sleep. two of the four burner stove diud not work. the apt was very clean and the pool was very nice. not easy to find the first night.

My goodness, my first less than steller review.... and I can really empathize with this guest, they were good people. Our properties, including this one always receive very good reviews and these were good guests, but Murphy's Law came into play during their stay. Everything that could go wrong, did, and while it was out of our hands to do anything about it, it doesn't change the fact that the guest's stay was adversely impacted by these events. e.g ( The entire gated community is on the same water system and the massive water pump died that afternoon and a new one was ordered, it was off for hours, but we're talking 50 apt units here, so it was repaired as quickly as it could be. Next day, the entire neighborhood lost electricity for a few hours, again Bahamas Electricity Corp doing work in the area, just out of our hands to control, but also not something that you expect). I also booked the appt with the a/c company, they promised they would show, but didn't and guest checked out the next day. I'm genuinely sorry this guest had a bad experience. The current guest is having a fabulous time and have mentioned the same to me a few times. I would really like another opportunity to provide the type of experience we are known for at Tangerine Sunsets. So, if you're in The Bahamas again, please contact me, I'd even provide a free night's stay as our way of saying we want nothing more than to know you're having a great time at our villas. Take care. Perfect!

The perfect home. The owner really fulfilled with everything offered. Highly Recommended! Bahamas also beautiful. Without a doubt we would return. One recommendation would be to rent a car to beat the bus or taxis. Very satisfied with the department and the Bahamas! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
