Overall a cute little cottage with the basic necessities. TBH, Would have been 5 stars had we not been forced to be in a sauna each night.
The owner was very responsive, until we had an issue with it being over 90 degrees out with 95% humidity over Labor Day, and the furnace running all night, making the bedrooms oppressively hot! We initially thought the hot bedrooms was just due to no ac back there and not enough circulation.
However, much to our dismay, the furnace was programmed to kick on at 69 degrees!! So every night, when we turn window ac unit down to cool the house, we woke up sweating and unable to sleep because of it. There is no cell service, so no way to call anyone. I emailed Vrbo to beg them to please turn the furance off, or tell us how to, but got no response.
One friend left the day before my Bday because there was no where comfortable to sleep. We huddled in the livingroom with dogs panting from the furnace running. It was cooler outside than in bedrooms, but we didn’t pack our tents. We eventually figured out how to override the temp settings and that’s how we knew it was set at 69 degrees.
Unfortunately, we only had one night with pleasant sleep after figuring out how to stop the furnace. Will never understand why it was ever on in the first place when it’s clearly summer temperatures, let alone a heat wave over 90 degrees each day. Definitely ruined my Bday, and our plans, because we were exhausted from no sleep
