I am a lifelong resident of Juneau Alaska with a passion for travel and the great outdoors. I am an avid wild foods forager (S.E. Alaska provides an amazing variety), amateur photographer, Private Pilot, scuba diver, mountain biker (fantastic trails within ½ mile of Adventure Base), skier, kayaker, paddleboarder, boater, dirt biker, budding paraglider, amateur naturalist, and above all proud father of two wonderfully wild Alaskan girls. My travels have immersed me into the cultures of more than 40 countries, however, every time I return home from a long adventure, I am humbled by the natural beauty that surrounds us here in S.E. Alaska and regardless of the weather. I am excited to share my S.E. Alaskan home with you and ready and willing to help with adventure planning and exploring. I also have included quality rain jackets for 5 adults and rain suits for children of a wide range of ages. To help you gear up and enjoy our natural beauty regardless of the weather.
I’ve jet skied the waters and Rivers of S.E. Alaska in some of the rougher weather Alaska can muster. Dove with Ginormous Alaskan Bull Sealions (NOT on Purpose). Swam in our glacier waters and picnicked on top of an Iceberg (trying out a new drysuit). Flown our sprawling glacier Icefield landscapes at sunset. Paddle Boarded to the face of the Mendenhall Glacier (not recommended for safety reasons). I’ve chased bears away from our family chicken coup armed with nothing more than a bb gun and a Loyal Labrador. Explored old, secluded Lighthouses, goldrush era mines, and spent countless hours on my hands and Knees hunting the famously elusive Nagoon Berries (they make unforgettable jellies and Cordials). I’m a well-rounded 3rd generation S.E. Alaskan that loves and respects our Home on the Panhandle of Alaska. I would love the opportunity to share it with you.
