We had a great stay at the cabin! Within a short drive of many beautiful parks. Right off of the main road, but still tucked into the woods, and the creek behind was beautiful. Plenty of space for the dog to roam and a nice pet necessities basket on site. Very well, equipped kitchen everything down to a crockpot! Very clean and we will certainly be looking to come back in the future.

Mountain Vacation

We spent a week at the cabin. The cabin is conveniently located near small towns and state parks that offer family friendly activities. Allowing pets was a huge plus for us and the deciding factor for choosing this rental. The cabin has a nice outdoor space with plenty of room for campfires and spending time outside. The cabin was clean and the bathroom and kitchen contained everything for need for cooking and bathing. We are glad we chose this property for our mountain vacation!

Great Stay!

My husband and I took our son here for our first family trip. The cabin was very cozy and decorated for fall. We loved it. We appreciated the kitchenware and were able to cook dinners while we were there. We loved the outdoor portion of the property. It was much larger than we expected. We also enjoyed using both of the fire pits while we were there. Overall, we had a great stay and hope to return again in the future.

Über den Gastgeber

Bild für Gastgeberprofil
We’re proud to call West Virginia home and love everything about the mountains—from quiet mornings to nights by the fire. Creekside Cabin is a place we’ve put a lot of care into, and we enjoy sharing it with guests looking to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.

Our goal is simple: a clean, comfortable stay in a peaceful setting. We’re always just a message away if you need anything or want local tips.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We chose this area because it truly captures the best of what West Virginia has to offer—peace, natural beauty, and easy access to outdoor adventure. Nestled along a beautiful creek and surrounded by woods, it provides the kind of quiet setting that’s getting harder to find.

At the same time, it’s perfectly located near some of the region’s top destinations. Within a short drive, you can explore Blackwater Falls State Park and Canaan Valley Resort State Park, or cross into Maryland to visit Swallow Falls State Park and Herrington Manor State Park. Whether it’s hiking, biking, skiing, tubing, or rafting, there’s no shortage of things to do nearby.

We also love being close to the small mountain towns of Thomas and Davis, where you’ll find great food, local shops, and live music—just enough activity without losing that laid-back feel.

One of the biggest reasons we chose this location is its proximity to Cathedral State Park, just about a minute away. This incredible old-growth forest offers a rare glimpse into untouched natural beauty, with towering hemlocks, peaceful trails, and a truly unique atmosphere.

For us, this area offers the perfect balance—quiet and secluded, yet close to everything that makes this region special.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

What makes Creekside Cabin truly special is the combination of privacy, simplicity, and direct access to nature. Tucked in a wooded setting, you’re not just near the outdoors—you’re in it. With a peaceful creek just steps away, guests can fish for trout, wade in the water, or simply relax to the sound of it flowing by.

Unlike busy vacation spots, this is a place to slow down. No crowds, —just fresh mountain air, evenings by the fire, and mornings with coffee in the woods. It’s the kind of stay where you can truly unplug and recharge.
