Great place to call home

I really have no complaints. We enjoyed our time there. The cleanliness could use a little help but I think some of that is due to needing an update. There is a lot of stairs that clearly shows in the photos but I didn’t really realize. But we did it and enjoyed it ! Location on water to get everywhere is excellent. The staff responds very quickly. Had a great time.

We had 6 women on a girls trip. There was tons of space. The layout of the house is cool. The beds were cozy too. Communication with the property management was great. Would absolutely stay again.

Great house, love Margaritaville!

House was large so lots of room to spread out. Loved fishing off the dock. Facilities and amenities at Margaritaville were fantastic!

Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappinting stay due to the general condition of the home. The microwave oven was unusable due to paint peeling on the interior ceiling. The coffee maker, first had a broken glass pot (replaced by us) 2nd, scary condition due to build up of hard water and did not get used during our stay. We didn't use other appliances except the cook top. We called the management company to request the outdoor tables be cleaned upon arrival. They were filthy. They did respond later that day. The flooded under the furniture contained items left and were dusty. Kitchen could be equipped better. Having said that general cleanliness of the beds and bathrooms was acceptable. Can not understand why the posting lists compatatable to sleep 22, I don't believe that one bit. And, as other's mentioned, there are many, many steps in this home, p would not recommend for the elderly and young infants.

Overall a great stay

Check in was easy and simple and check out was the same way! I love that all we had to do was get trash out and start the dish washer! The house and dock are gorgeous and in a nice quiet cove that was great for swimming. We had a squirrel in the house at check in though and the management company didn’t seem too concerned with it to the point that we ourselves had to remove the squirrel when we found it again. The only thing I got from them when notified of something in the house was “we’ll send housekeeping down with clean sheets (it went to the bathroom on a bed) and someone would try to catch it” and once we got it out of the house I was told “thanks for the update and removing it”.

Every summer we stay for a long weekend in Tan-Tar-A. The house has a gorgeous view, was very clean, and had plenty of spare pillows and blankets. It also had great air conditioning (which can sometimes be hard to come by in the older Tan-Tar-A properties), and all of the decks were in good shape with easy to use doors. The check in process was very smooth, and did not have a lengthy check out list like some other properties (just take out the trash and start the dish washer). Also, it was about a five minute hilly walk to the pool (but an easy downhill walk back from the pool, so very doable). We did not realize from the photos the parking is only parallel parking (and the street is a bit steep), so it took a second to get the hang of it. The house also has lots of stairs (from the street, inside, and down to the dock).I'd only suggest very minor tweaks, which did not impact our stay at all. We had a large group and ate every meal at the house, but the house didn't have a ton of silverware, so we ended up hand washing the silverware after every meal. An extra set of forks would have been nice. The downstairs hall bathroom handle didn't quite latch while locked, so even though the knob appeared locked, it could still be opened from the hall. We just told the kids to knock. Overall very pleased with our stay, and glad we booked this house.

Lake of the Ozarks family vacation

The house size and location worked well for our large group. The cleanliness level of the house was substandard upon arrival, but the rental management firm quickly sent cleaners to spruce it up a bit. The upper floor air conditioner could not keep up with the 100 degree temps we had during our 4 night stay. The lower floor A/C handled it fine. The house simply needs some updating; otherwise it’s a nice location and size for a large family.

Family trip

The place has ample bedrooms and baths which were clean but certainly dated. Two things should be noted in the home. One, the barstools at the breakfast bar are not tall enough to use the counter for dining. There are several areas of interior steps that are dangerous and awkward, certainly not appropriate for young children. Also, the only way down to the water is a very steep spiral staircase. Additionally. The cove is crowded and not appropriate for swimming.

Perfect Layout in Ideal Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this home over labor day weekend with another family. We had 7 kids between the 2 families. The size of the house and the layout accommodated that perfectly. The kids had their own living space a floor below the adults and their own balconies and bathroom so they could really enjoy and do their thing. I cannot say enough good things about the management company. They were a pleasure to work with and were flexible with making some accommodations for us. They were extremely communicative and really cared about making our experience seamless. The house itself could use a little TLC, especially on the martini deck but we still had a great weekend. We enjoyed the fact that there was ample sofa space in the living area so we could all gather for a movie night as well as seating areas in the kitchen and at the island. We were a 20 min walk from Margaritaville so we spent some time there as well. Overall great weekend.

Our group really enjoyed the house! The one thing that I would want other renters to know if that there are a LOT of stairs. The spiral staircase may be hard for families with young kids. It was very clean and had everything we needed! Loved having access to the boat dock. It was nice to leave the boat in the water for the week.

My family really enjoyed the huge living space -- combined living room, dining, and kitchen. Plenty of space for all of us to stretch out and enjoy meals and fun together without being cramped. The location on the water was excellent too!

Alot of steps to get in to house, inside house and of course down to the boat dock. Clean and spacious for young to middle age adults. Well stocked. The four seasons property management was amazing! Answered all our questions very quickly, flexible to meet extenuating circumstances to allow my dying MIL an experience on the lake. We had to contact John to see where we were able to park a boat trailer as it was not allowed on property. He quickly assisted. We also brought in a hospital bed and compressor for my terminally ill mother in law. John was very accomodating for this as well and we cannot thank him enough!

We loved our stay at shelter cove!! The updates to the home were amazing and the property was even better than the photos online. The only recommendation I have is to put curtains in the “kids area” downstairs. The members of four seasons property management were great to work with. They were very responsive to any questions I had regarding our stay at shelter cove.
