6+ Bedroom rentals are rare in the Wildwoods and this is one of our most popular rentals. Your 2019 reservations are welcome at any time, and in fact, that is the only way to reserve a house like this, because it is usually sold out by New Year's Day. Was there for a weekend soccer tournament it and worked great for several families with teens. A few minor issues but the property manager was on top of them right away. Would stay there again.

Perfect! Great house, great location!

This house was perfect for our multiple-family vacation, with guests ranging from 2 months to 69 years old. It's hard to believe THAT much space is available in a townhome! The house had everything you'd need, including beach cart and toys, stocked kitchen, outdoor grill... and it's a short walk to the beach- easy enough to make with 3-7 year olds. The boardwalk and a wide assortment of restaurants are a 5-10 minute drive. Added bonus: Don Martin Realty was a pleasure to deal with and hassle-free. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Review

House served its purpose for our stay. As previously reported, we needed to vacuum rugs, mop some of the floors upon, and wipe down countertops upon arrival. Additionally, the general maintenance of the unit was rather worn out - and requires a thorough cleaning. Stay was good otherwise.

This was a wonderful stay!! We would love to come back next year! The house is SO BIG and everyone had a bed to sleep in. It was just a short walk to the beach. I had to run back to get something once were were already at the beach and it wasn't even a big deal. Loved the quiet location due to being farther from the board way... but not too far. Just a short drive away, you can be eating Curley's fries on the boardwalk. We took a walk to the bay side every evening to watch the beautiful sunset. There were three full bathrooms and TWO outdoor showers. Even with a full house, we never had to wait too long for a shower or toilet. My only issue was that we had a little issue with the smoke alarm chirping one night. I contacted the management company through VRBO because that is where they were sending me all the info and no one ever got back to me. We had to deal with the occasional chirp for a few more days. Im sure this issue is resolved, but I wish someone was there to communicate and respond to me. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

Overall good property in wildwood, need new cleaners

My family and I stayed at this property in wildwood for a vacation lasting several nights. Positives - the pictures don’t do the property justice, the rooms are huge. It’s overall a great property to accommodate your family. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach is literally up the road. Areas to improve- the inside of the house needed to be cleaned upon arrival. My family had spent about the first 1.5 hours cleaning the floors that were dirty with dirt and sand (caked into several areas), the table tops were dirty, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, there were dirty razor parts left on a bathroom floor, there were candy wrappers tucked into the comforter of one of the beds, and there were dirty socks left in a room. The grill listed in the listing was covered in grease and the burner grates had significant build up, not being readily usable. It didn’t appear that cleaners came through and cleaned thoroughly. I had tried to communicate this with the owner through the VRBO app (as my keys were left for pick up for my 430 arrival and the office was closed) but did not ever hear back. The email for feedback sent by the owner on the vrbo app was blank lines. I did not attempt to call the owner as the office was closed at the time of the issue and everything had been taken care of by my family by then. We understand this is a beach house and don’t expect pristine conditions, but the above is suboptimal for any experience.

Beautiful house but lacking

So many things in this house were broken: the blender did not work, the icemaker did not work and no ice trays, the water dispenser did not work, blinds in four out of six bedrooms did not work and were broken, pots and pans had handles that were nearly broken off and surfaces Where the Teflon was coming apart, no working fan in the single downstairs bathroom,the fridge light was out, several dining room chairs were broken and dangerous to sit in. The house was lacking, bathmats, hand soap, clean comforters for the beds, clean pillow protectors, the silverware drawer was full of old food and crumbs and absolutely filthy, there was no salad bowl, no large serving bowl, no scissors no TP dispensers, no handles on the cabinet drawers and doors in bathrooms, there were dirty sheets piled up in two closets wadded up in the corner, there was trash in the laundry room, lightbulbs were out downstairs, no dish towels and no dish sponge. There were two ears of very moldy corn found in a desk drawer in the entryway. Clearly, this place has had very little cleaning and TLC. We asked the management company to help us with getting rods for the blinds and they said they would look into it, but we never heard from them. I spoke with them about all these broken things and they said they would speak to the owner and their manager and get back to us but never did. I would not recommend this house nor this management company to anyone. House has great potential but needs someone who cares…

Perfect for a few families!

This property is exactly as described on the listing. The 6 bedrooms (plus bonus room with futon) were perfect for our group of 12 (4 couples plus 4 kids ages 1.5 to 7). The kitchen was big enough for all of us to eat together. The family room with additional high top table was perfect for evening hang outs. We also enjoyed our time on the front porch in the evenings. We were a quick walk to see the sunset on sound or a short walk to the beach side where there was a wonderful playground and splash pad. The property is walkable to the boardwalk (though with kids you would need to know their limits or bring a stroller).

Beautiful home

This is an excellent location. Very walkable to beach or bay. Beds were comfortable. My only complaint would be there was an ant problem. Had to move food to one of the bedrooms. There were 12 adults and we had plenty of room. Probably would rent again if ant problem was taken care of.

This property was beautiful with tons of room. Perfectly located between the beach and bay side. Close enough to the boardwalk to enjoy it easily but far enough to find a little peace and relaxation away from all the action.

Great Beach - Fine House - Beware of Management Company

The good news - it is an overall fine house. Much as you would suspect from a vacation rental home that is on the market for sale, it is not kept up to a pristine standard, but it is no doubt just fine for a beach vacation. The advertisement says it is 7 rooms, but it is not - the den has a futon that has seen much better days and is incredibly uncomfortable to sleep in. The rest of the rooms we fine, no frills, but at the beach you go to spend time on the sand and not at home, so no issue there. It would have been nice to have linens included, as most people do not have king beds or twin beds a plenty. The house was clean; their beach equipment was all broken, so more stuff to lug. The bad news - the management company for this rental is particularly difficult and sketchy to deal with. From the start it should have alarmed us when they were asking about our marital status and relationship to each other. It turns out that if you are a group of 30-40 year old professionals with a mix of relationships and a small infant, they take the opportunity to try and pull a fast one on you. When the AC was not working and the house was at 81 degrees, they said they would not try to send someone over to fix it because of the holiday - mind you that we would have been fine, but our infant son was not fine. The fire alarms went off at night and all they could say about that was that they are glitchy. They said they would send someone over to check both the AC and the alarms, and they never did, and we never even got a call back about it. At the end of the trip they called and left an aggressive message stating they found "extensive damage" and did not leave any details. When we called them back, they would not offer any additional information because the manager had the day off - as of today, it has been 5 days and we still have not heard back from the manager as to the details of the damage they are claiming. We never had a walk-thru at check-in or check-out, and now are being blamed for disrepair that already exited in the house! To top it off, when I got VRBO involved, I got an angry email from the management company stating that they plan to hold my deposit for the full 30 days, seemingly with no intent to address the issues they have claimed any time soon. Wildwood is charming and the beach is great - an overall great friend/family vacation marred by an incompetent, prejudiced company. I would recommend anyone to beware as they deal with this rental...

The tenant wanted her security deposit back at check out time. It simply can't be done that quickly. Credit card charges process through instantaneously, but it takes 2-3 weeks to return a security deposit back to a card. The tenant was calling every day to ask if there was damage, to ask if the money had been returned yet, and she placed calls to VRBO/Homeaway to get them involved too. There were dozens of phone calls, multiple emails, and lots of wasted time for what amounted to absolutely nothing. It was aggravating for all of us. I tried to explain that this was standard operating procedure, but she would not listen to reason. There was no damage here. No money was held back. Really enjoyed the property. It does require some maintenance though.

Several of the outlets covers were barely attached, closet shelf was broken and laying in closet. Shades in one of the bedrooms were broken, door handle for garage was falling off. These are not complaints, loved our week there, property was beautiful. Merely observations for good of property.

You gave us your list during your stay. All was repaired or replaced. It's common to have a punch list at any check in with a property of this size to sleep up to 20. Clean and comfortable beach house

The house has plenty of room and is in a good location, about 3-4 blocks to the beach. Everything about the house was great. However, it would be better if the house came a stocked with more of the essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, a dish sponge, etc. We had missed the part of the email saying those things would not be provided and had to make a quick run to the store after we arrived. Even if we had read the email more carefully and bought stuff in advance, it is just way more convenient to have those items provided.

Great place but in need of cleaning and repair.

This is a beautiful condo. However, it is now in need of repair. The jacuzzi tub is broken, some of the doors are off hinges, the blinds to several bedrooms did not work hence there was little or no privacy. We spent about 5 hours cleaning the place when we arrived since we had small children. All of the floors were dirty and sticky. The hardwood cleaned up and the bathrooms were not clean to our standards. The rugs should be shampooed since they look nice but your feet get black just walking on them. We called the agent with a list of many items. they were apologetic but I doubt that we will see any money back ...so I would AVOID THIS PROPERTY until they clean it up and repair it.

Yes, it IS a beautiful townhouse. We have been renting this home since 2010. This Homeaway ad is over SEVEN years old and this is the first negative review received in all that time. The cleaning complaints were simply not valid. This is not a sterile environment. You have to be realistic! This is a 6/7 bedroom beach house that sleeps 20. The floors were suitably clean, but I would not suggest that you put your infant on the floor of a rental property that sleeps 20 people. This home is not advertised to have a jacuzzi tub. No doors were found to be off of hinges. The bathrooms ARE meticulously clean to anyone's standards - cleaned by our own employees and supervisors. These are professional trained experienced cleaning people. The only valid complaint is about some missing slats on vertical blinds and one that would not open or close at all. (They have since been repaired.) Our offers of cleaning crews and other assistance were refused. The only thing that could have made this renter happy would have been money back, and there was no justification for this. This home is booked solid every year, year after year. We have many many MANY happy repeat renters here. I apologize that we could not make Ruth Ann happy here too.

Awesome House for our Awesome Family!

Hands down, bar none - we've never found such a nice, clean, spacious, well equipped rental for our extra large family of 18. 6 bedrooms, plus a "den" with a full futon gave us all the privacy we needed to sleep 13 adults and 5 children, without sticking someone on a sofa bed for a week. The back yard is very private, with a grill, picnic table, and a nice outdoor shower. Wireless internet access was great for the teenagers who can't live without it. This is a nice quiet street - very close to the beach. We'll be back in 2013!
