Sunsail Cottage is a gorgeous, coastal modern styled 3 bedroom home, nestled in a quaint neighborhood in the heart of Crystal Beach! Accommodating up to 8, it's perfect for two small families, a couples trip, or a friends getaway! Our spacious layout, comforts of home, and private pool will have you entering "relax" mode from your first steps inside. Come sail away with us at Sunsail Cottage!!

We can't wait to welcome you to Sunsail Cottage! Our home is located in the heart of Destin, within 3 short blocks to the most beautiful sugar sand beaches. We're located at the entrance of the cozy Sunsail neighborhood, with easy access to Highway 98 to come and go to local restaurants, shopping, and activities. We can accommodate up to two vehicles, plus golf cart parking. Unfortunately we do not permit RV, trailer, or watercraft parking at our home.

As you approach our home you'll fall in love with the true Florida living feel of our wrap around porch with seating to enjoy sipping a cup of coffee as you get your day started. With a few steps to enter the porch area, which is entirely gated in, guests can enter the home with easy coded entry-making check in a breeze with no need to fumble around for keys!

You'll be in awe from the moment you walk in at the open-aire feel of the home as natural light encompasses the entry way and living room area from just about every angle of the room. To the right you'll see our comfortable sectional, with plenty of space for your group to enjoy kicking back at the end of a long day in the sun. A Smart TV with provided HuluLive for guests is situated in the corner as well. To the left is a great reading nook with two snug accent chairs.

The chef in your family will enjoy being a part of the day-to-day with the kitchen being open to the living space. A door right off the kitchen onto the front porch makes bringing in your groceries for the week a task easily completed. Our kitchen comes fully equipped to include a large fridge with on demand water & ice, stove, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, cookware, silverware, standard coffee maker, Nespresso Coffee Maker, Keurig, Crockpot, blender, toaster, and even children's cutlery and dinnerware! Our breakfast bar completes the kitchen space, with three stools to enjoy a light meal or an after the pool snack! Our dining area is also a part of the open layout, with seating for 6 at the table.

Down the hall, to the right, guests can find the bunk room. Here we've created a great space for the kids with twin over queen bunks, a Smart TV with Hulu Live, and plenty of space for luggage storage in the closet! We also offer a twin trundle under the bunks for extra guests.

Across the hall from the bunk room, or to the left when walking down the hall, guests can find a conveniently located full bathroom. A shower and tub, toilet, and sink with counter space make it easy to get ready for the day. Our full sized washer and dryer are conveniently located here as well!

The next bedroom is located on the left hand side of the hallway as well. It comes complete with a Queen bed, a Smart TV with Hulu Live, and ample closet and dresser space. The hallway bathroom is also easily accessible by a private entrance to this bedroom, making it a nice second Master bedroom!

At the end of the hallway is the master bedroom. This spacious room boasts vaulted ceilings, a King bed, LARGE Smart TV with Hulu Live, full length mirror for getting ready, a large walk in closet, dresser space, and an en-suite bathroom. Guests can also enjoy easy access to the backyard directly through the master bedroom. The bathroom is equally as spacious with his and hers sinks, toilet, and a large walk in glass door shower with two shower heads!

For our tiny travelers: We provide a pack & play, high chair, and kids dishes/silverware. These items are always at the home, available for guest use. We know kiddos require bringing any & everything, so we're happy to make that load a little lighter for you!

The backyard oasis is certainly where we envision guests making many memories. Our paver patio includes a table & chairs for 6, a natural gas grill, a few lounge chairs, and a hammock for the utmost level of relaxation. Kick back your feet, enjoy a BBQ meal, or float around in the sunny pool! A grassy area is perfect for you fur-baby to run around, or to play some outdoor games. With no large trees to shade the yard, you can soak up all the sun during your stay!

A few important things to note:
-Golf Cart rental is not included in your stay. We're happy to offer a six passenger golf cart rental at a deeply discounted rate just for our guests! Please let us know upon booking if you'd like us to reserve it for you! Golf cart rentals are not permitted with student parties under 25 (insurance reasons) and unfortunately no exceptions can be made.
-We are pet friendly for up to 2 dogs per booking, but we do charge a $200 pet fee to be able to host others that may have allergies we have a deeper clean done, no exceptions. Only house trained pets are permitted, and if planned to leave unattended they must be crated to avoid damage. It is required to clean up after your pet, both inside and out, or additional fees will be assessed. ESA (Emotional Support Animals) are subject to the pet fee, as they do not fall under ADA compliant service animal requirements. It is a crime in our state to impersonate a service animal, so we appreciate your honesty in this matter.
-Pool heating is not included in your stay. Pricing does vary based on length of stay, so if your group wants to enjoy this amazing amenity just inquire when booking.
-Our cleaners supply a courtesy supply of toiletries for roughly the first day or so of your stay (toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, bar soap, laundry soap, dish detergent) but guests are responsible for any additional supplies needed. We do not stock spices, oils, sunscreen, food storage (ziplocs, foil etc) so please plan accordingly if you'll need these items.
-We do provide beach towels for guests to use poolside or at the beach, as we ask guests to please not use any white towels in these spaces. Any other beach/pool items are not provided or guaranteed.

We are LOCAL & always available for our guests anytime before and during your trip. It is highly encouraged to read our listing in detail for any questions about the space, location, and amenities. We ask, please, for NO text message communication as you will not receive a response. Our strong preference is communication directly through your booking platform so that we have all the details of your trip to make assisting you a breeze. If you're a first time traveler, please download the app of the platform you've booked your trip on for ease of access to your trip details & communication.
For more immediate needs and emergencies please place a phone call to Matthew (and be sure to know the logistics of your trip such as the dates and location). We can be reached most times of the day, but ask for no late night contact-we will do our absolute best to take care of any needs and questions as soon as they arise!

You will be super close driving distance to anything you have planned or desire to do during your stay. We typically recommend taking an Uber or Lyft as they are very popular in the area and always less expensive that a normal taxi. You can definitely take a short walk to the beach, and it is almost always easier than driving around looking for parking! Grocery delivery is also available in our area from local grocery stores such as Whole Foods, Publix, WinnDixie, Walmart, and Target via InstaCart or Shipt. Sams Club is located approximately 20 minutes west, in Fort Walton Beach.

Please read our House Rules in detail before booking your trip, so you're aware of any important FAQ that we've addressed for our guests ahead of time.
-Check in time is 4PM CST and Check out time is 9AM CST. Early check in and late checkout is not always possible, but we are able to accommodate on occasion. We do not allow luggage dropoff/leaving luggage after checkout for liability reasons. Please keep in mind before & after your stay is the only time we are able to perform maintenance & cleaning of the home and most stays are back to back with other reservations.
-There is only parking to accommodate up to 2 vehicles, plus a six passenger golf cart. Street parking/blocking sidewalk/rightofway may result in citation from the City of Destin to be paid by guest in violation.
-Please inquire for rates for the golf cart or pool heating, unless advertised or discussed as part of your total price.
-All guests must vacate premises at checkout time (9am) or an additional nights rate & cleaning fee apply.
-We do NOT host groups under 25 years of age, unless prior approval is obtained. A $100 cash deposit & student rules agreed upon is required, if prior approval is granted.
-We are pet friendly & allow up to 2 pets only if house trained, not permitted on the furniture, and crated if left unattended. Guests bringing pets must disclose this prior to booking, as a one time $200 fee must be paid prior to arrival. Pets and emotional support animals are subject to pet fee, only ADA recognized service animals are exempt from this. You are expected to clean up after your pet both indoors and outdoors or additional fees will be assessed.
