Please read full description prior to instant booking. Smoky Mountain Lakeside Lodge! Spacious 4200 sq. ft. pet friendly cabin close to Smoky Mnts and tourist areas of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. Lakeside with a dock at bottom of hill behind Cabin. Full game room with shuffleboard, foosball, pool table, dart board, golf game, board games, karaoke, and large flat screen TV. Firepit, sauna, hot tub, and outdoor yard games included. Work desk and WiFi available. Extras for not additional cost include 2 paddle boards and 6 kayaks. Rental lease required. $500 refundable deposit, $300 refundable pet deposit, $60 nonrefundable pet deposit. This deposit is not included in price paid and is requested on day of check in. Deposit is returned day of check out.

Our portion of the lake is drained down mid-end of September to early-mid May.
For insurance purposes, we require a rental lease agreement be signed and a refundable deposit that will be refunded as early as day of checkout or next day.

Level 2 J-1772 Electric Vehicle Charger available at no additional cost (Tesla Adapter available as well).

Game room - Large flat screen TV with Netflix, Hulu+ (Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN), shuffleboard table, pool table, golf game, and a dart board. If you are anticipating watching a game on ESPN during your stay, please ensure it is provided by the Hulu ESPN package.

Exterior - Hot tub, patio furniture, fire pit, yard games, fenced in yard

Upstairs has a lower and slanting ceiling in many places due to the pitch of the roof. Please note that this could be uncomfortable for some guests that are taller and requires ducking a little bit when walking up and down the stairs inside.

upstairs heat / ac didn't work, prop dead batteries, booked for 15 people, only 15 towels and 6 wash cloth, had to buy more.

Hello, I wish you would’ve contacted me about the issues you experienced so I could help. I was unaware the thermostat batteries had as I always have extra batteries available for guests in case batteries are needed for remotes or other items. While there is a laundry room with supplies available for guest use, I would’ve been happy to ask my cleaner to come by and provide additional towels if I had known more than the 16 provided towels were needed.

Had a good time, great location

Positives: Location was great, house was as advertised with many rooms for a large number of people. Bathrooms were clean and everything worked well. Kitchen area was very nice. The dock was great to have and in good shape. Negatives: Hot tub needs some care and the outside could use some maintenance. Trim and clean the yard. Take care of an older deck that the railing fell off almost severely inuring someone.

Hi Toni, I’m happy your family enjoyed their stay. I apologize about the WiFi, it’s typically pretty good but for some reason was acting spotty during your stay. Thankfully, dandridge is expanding their high speed internet and it will be accessible to our cabin next month, which will more than double our current speeds. I look forward to guests being able to utilize those faster and more efficient speeds and services.

Great Property for Dogs

We really enjoyed this property, the best part about it was the fenced in yard for our two dogs. We also enjoyed the firepit area outside. The TV's with Roku in each room were an added bonus. We are looking forward to coming back when the house has lake access, be sure to read description about time of year when property is lakeside.

We had a great time during our stay. It’s hard to get the layout of the house from the pictures, but the house was perfect and the layout makes it very easy to socialize and visit . We enjoyed where the house was located it was private and set back in a cove with no boat traffic , great for fun days swimming off the dock. The host was amazing and quick to reply and help with any questions.. We definitely will be coming back.

Great place to stay

The cabin is unique because it has lots of nooks and crannies. The kids were thrilled to find activities everywhere. Our family enjoyed corn hole, putt putt, pool, a car track upstairs for the youngest, exercise bike, and so many games!!! The outdoor space is excellent. A dock with diving platform, lots of kayaks and paddles, and a few paddle boards. There is a rope swing around the corner, too. The lake is inviting and it was great to have the dock for our boat. Beds were comfortable and the house was clean. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots and pans. Overall it’s an excellent place to stay. The neighbors were very friendly, and the deer ate plentiful. It’s a great get away space for a large family. We had 13 people at times and everyone was comfortable.

Deck and patio was rotten. Also took forever to get the code to get into the house ceilings are short. If you’re over 6 foot you’re going to hit your head and then also they wanted an extra $500 deposit the day before.

Colin and his group were very difficult for us. Colin arrived nearly 5 hours early and broke in to access the cabin. I sent the rental lease agreement about a week before his stay and he did not review or sign until he was physically in the property. Our deck, steps, and dock are under construction for replacement and Colin disregarded the ‘Under Construction - keep out signs’ and accessed them anyway, which put his group at a serious safety risk, as he notes in his review. Our contractor was scheduled to be back that day to finish but as Colin had arrived 5 hours early and accessed these areas, my contractor was unable to continue his work. I do not recommend future hosts rent to this guest due to numerous safety concerns and risks.

Perfect location!

This property is right on one of Douglas Lakes fingers...this was a great spot since we had great access to the water without all the boat traffic. This house came with everything our family needed, kayaks, paddle boards, life vests and a great dock for jumping into the lake...it was also boat accessible! Fire pit outside was great for smores! They had a lot of logs available... we had an axe with us so we could make some of the logs smaller to get the fire going! Hot tub and nice private deck overlooking the lake was a bonus! Inside our grandkids, never stopped. Pool table and darts were played by all of us and shuffleboard was a new game to learn. 🤗 The kitchen was well stocked with anything one might need, to include two coffee makers (I think one was a Keurig) The house itself was unique...lots of doors that we found useful to close off areas if needed. It was like a mini maze. The owners are very responsive and quick to assist. Great time had by all.

Large Home. But not lake between Sept. and May.

In the description of the property, a sentence explains that the lake is drained from Sept. to May. So this is only lakeside for about four months. We missed this, and I wish it has been called out more prominently. We checked the "waterfront" filter when searching VRBO, the headline said "lakeside," and there were numerous photos of the beautiful lake, so I think it's understandable and reasonable that we expected to be on a lake to fish and kayak even if it was too cold to swim. I am not implying the owners did not provide accurate information, but I think it was a bit under the radar. If I was renting this property out, I would specifically mention this to renters inquiring about those months to be sure they were aware. Of course, we missed the one-sentence disclaimer, so I wanted to call this out for anyone looking to be on a lake during non-summer months for fishing, kayaking, or just enjoying the views - that there is no lake during those months. Overall the home was very large and clean and had some thoughtful touches, such as extra garbage bags, laundry pods, etc, that you don't always get in a VRBO. The fenced-in yard and fire pit were wonderful. The owners were very responsive. Unfortunately, the hot tub had a significant crack, and we needed to keep refilling it, but the owners were aware and were trying to get this fixed. Another caution is the upstairs area is really for kids; the ceiling is very low on the stairs and in some of the sleeping areas (they have many signs noting "to watch your head" ). We only used three bedrooms. It would have been hard for us to use many of the upstairs bedrooms.

Hi Gemma, thank you for staying with us and I'm happy your family enjoyed your time at the cabin. I always try and be as transparent as possible with all information so there are never any surprises for guests - which is why the first line of our description asks that our guests read the entire description prior to instant booking. Unfortunately that didn't happen in this instance, and I'm sorry for that. We state both here and in our rental lease agreement that our portion of the lake is drained from Late September to early May. I've also worked to be as transparent as possible with the lower ceiling areas upstairs both in our description and our pictures. I hope the other amenities we provide helped make your stay enjoyable.

Wonderful home and location

Home was a wonderful setting for our family vacation. Plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms for a large family or multi-friend gathering with a large open space for gathering/eating. The game room provided daily entertainment and fun competition. The lake offered hours of fun with the kayaks, paddle boards, and peddle boat. Several marinas close by to rent pontoons/ speed boats/ wave runners and additional kayaks if needed. Hot tub was a plus. Located close (within 30-60 minutes) to several attractions make this a perfect get away location. The host is responsive for any questions. Easy check-in/check-out. Highly recommend.

Could not have been a better location!

We loved this house! The pictures honestly had me confused about how the layout would be and we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of space it ended up having. We stayed here on a mutigenerational family vacation and it had something for everyone. We all spent so much time in and on the lake in the kayaks and paddle boards that we didn't spend any time in the game room. We had an issue with the code when we arrived and the host responded immediately and opened the door and reset it for us. A couple little issues popped up and she was excellent at responding and resolving the issue. We are looking forward to coming back!

Great property in the heart of Douglas Lake

This beautiful property has many things to offer, including a peaceful dock in the perfect little cove. The owners have many things to offer a family for any of your lake adventures. The house was the perfect size for my family of 13. Even offered enough room for our periodic visiting family to have a cook out etc, on top of the 13 staying the night. We did have a few issues, but the owners were quick and immediate to respond and delicate, which I appreciated very much. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful property!
