Thank you for allowing us to host you, Keala! We worked really hard to soundproof the two apartments, and we didn't have any issues with this with our previous guests who stayed with us. I'm so sorry that our living close by wasn't made more clear to you! We try really hard to make sure that guests know before booking that we live in the downstairs apartment; it's listed in our description of the property, our profile, and mentioned in guest reviews. This is not a secret, and we have been very transparent about it. We sent out automated messages to all of our properties regarding trash day, and we take care of our trash. We work so hard to make our guests feel as comfortable as possible while away from home, and we just wish that you'd reached out to us about your concerns. Thanks again for staying with us!
