Shallow Lake Retreat

The Shallow Lake Retreat is located in the Village of Shallow Lake, McNabb Grey Sauble Conservation Authority Area, 15 minutes driving distance away from the beautiful 2nd largest fresh water beach Sauble Beach, 1 hour drive to Fathom Five National Park in Tobermory and 1 hour from Blue Mountains, 15 minutes to Georgian Bay for boating/marina, South Bruce Peninsula ATV Club Trails 1 minute to trail and 1 minute from the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Stoney Keppel Riders Trail.
Guest access:
All of the home is an open atmosphere for you to enjoy like your home away from home.

No shoes in house No Fires/Parties Do NOT drive on the lawn/deck (Due to septic) Take ALL garbage/recycling with you on departure Lysol counter
Due to Covid place towels separate from sheets in wash machine and wash to avoid/eliminate contact for guest/host
Place dishes in dishwasher and when cleaned away in cupboards *Leave the Shallow Lake Retreat the way you found it, ready for the next guest!

Was in the area for a wedding. The host was very flexible and accommodating when it came to checking in a little early.

Location, Location.......

Much better option than hotel/motel. The home was centrally located to our main points of interest. Comfortable inside, and relaxing outdoors - couldn't have asked for more. Krystle was a joy to deal with.

Surprise

What we got and what we thought we rented were different. From the pictures we thought it was a cabin near water. It was in fact an old home that has been completely renovated. Inside was very well done, neat and clean. Bathroom was however only on the main floor not near the bedrooms. Pulled into the driveway from a crescent but the BIG drawback was the front of the house faced the Main Street which actually happens to be Hwy 6 to Sauble beach! Very noisy!!!Thank goodness the air conditioning drowned it out. Never did see the “ Shallow Lake”
