Mauna Kai 8 may be the perfect location for that memorable vacation you've been planning. Enjoy the tropical surroundings from your lanais or the views of the Kauai jungle like landscape from your windows. Unwind by the largest condominium swimming pool on the North Shore where you can barbecue lunch or dinner while the kids play in the pool.

Enjoy the short (though somewhat steep!) path to Anini Beach (use caution), or access to the world-famous Makai Golf Course. The Westin Resort, within walking distance, offers unique dining and entertainment opportunities.

This condo has been recently updated in most living areas and a fully equipped kitchen, a washer/dryer, and a dishwasher. It is a two-story condo featuring three bedrooms and a loft and two full bathrooms. Perfect for a larger family group. We do not believe you will find more square footage of family friendly value anywhere!

Nice location close to Hanalei and Ha’ena State Park!

The unit was a great layout for our expanded family trip with three generations and the high ceiling over the main living area made it feel more expansive. The beach umbrella, boogie boards and cooler were great additions!

Great find!

The location of this property was excellent. The unit was stocked with necessities such as dishwasher and washing machine pods. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans, dishes and dinnerware for our party of eight. The only thing that was missing were beach umbrellas and a few beach chairs. There was one beach umbrella but the bottom piece was missing. All in all this is a fabulous place to spend your Kauai vacation.

The property has plenty of space for our party of 6. It is well-stocked with laundry, kitchen supplies , and towels. Providing beach chairs , pool toys and cooler are nice touches . Check in and check out processes are smooth and hassle -free. I gave it one less star as the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms quit working on day 2. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

Kauai vacation

Our family stayed here with my partner and our kids and my mother and there was lots of room for everyone. The place was perfectly clean, great location in Princeville, a very well-stocked kitchen, and even had some treats waiting for us upon arrival which was a great touch. Some reviews had mentioned the lack of A/C, which we noted right away coming from an air conditioned unit on Oahu, but once we got the fans going, it was perfectly comfortable, even on the hottest days and nights. I would highly recommend this house!! Mahalo

Great place to stay

The place was clean and enough room for all 8 of us. The location is perfect and everything you need is close by. Beach towels were provided but it would have been nice to have some additional beach supplies such as a couple chairs and umbrella, but I understand these things are not standard (and can be rented). The pool at the complex was cloudy the entire stay, and was closed for maintenance at one point. This happens and is typically transient, but it was disappointing that we couldn’t really use it.

Lovely home, great location

For me, being able to walk to a store or to a restaurant is always a huge plus and this location is in easy walking distance of Princeville Center. As a family with 6 adults and two cars I was concerned about the one parking space issue and the pre-arrival messages about where not to park and warnings about being towed. It was recommended that we park our second car at Princeville Center. However, when we arrived there were actually two parking passes waiting for us (a mistake? Maybe). Fortunately we had no issues parking the two cars at the residential location, but based on my observations and experience, I would have been totally comfortable parking our second car at Princeville Center.

In your case, we were able to secure permission for a second car, which is why you received a second parking pass. This is part of our effort to accommodate our guests' needs as best as we can. Nice Condo Quiet Complex

We really enjoyed our time at the condo. It was well equipped for our family (4 adults 2 children) and there was plenty of beach gear and towels. The location was good however it was a bit of a hike downhill on a muddy trail the closest beach so we only went once and ended up driving to other nearby beaches instead. There is a great playground and park within walking distance though and just beyond that is the mall and grocery store. The pool area is great and the kids loved the beanbag toss and ping pong. Our only complaint was that there wasn't a hot tub and that would likely stop us from booking here again, but if you don't mind that it's a great place to stay!

Beautiful rental!

The home was very clean and it was clear that cleaning is thorough. Well appointed kitchen, every appliance, tool, storage, dish, etc that we needed was there. The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of seating in the dining and living rooms. And so many hooks (and dressers, closet hangers) all over the home for hanging stuff- I often find that rentals lack this, and especially for a neach vacation (and a lot of wet stuff), that was so appreciated! It's a very short walk/hike to Anini Beach, and other public beaches are within a 10-20 minute drive. We also used the pool in the complex several times, it was great. There's a grill in the pool area, which we also used a few times.

Property Manager cannot be reasoned with

We tried to modify our booking. Vacasa told me to file a travel insurance claim, which was nonsense, I was within the modification window. Communication with them was "canned" and felt like a bot. In the end, they claim I never "confirmed" the change even though I requested it twice. I paid for time that the condo sat empty, and Vacasa could not have cared less. I will never book with Vacasa again.The place was amazing, but when you are renting a vacation property, the property manager is part of the experience.

This house was not cleaned in ages. There were rings around all the sinks and the bathtubs of built up dirt. The bed in the master bedroom was slanted which made it terribly uncomfortable to sleep on. the property was out of detergent so we had to buy our own only to waste our whole bottle washing their sheets because they had hair on them from previous guests indicating they also hadn't been washed. There is no AC just ceiling fans so it smells like old people when you walk in, and you suffocate from the heat. we contacted support to at least be reimbursed for the detergent we wasted cleaning their property but they weren't remotely helpful.

Honestly it was terrible. When you walk in it smells like old people. They said there was AC but it was just fans. The place was very dirty with rings around all the sinks showing just how little it was cleaned. Our sheets still had hair and dirt from other renters so we took them off to wash them and they didnt have any detergent. So we bought and wasted our own detergent to wash their sheets. One of the beds was also slanted which made it terribly uncomfortable to sleep on; they had to sleep sideways just to be able to tolerate it. We reached out about the cleanliness concerns and they told us they’d reach back out and possibly get a team out to clean it but it was basically crickets. Would not stay here again. Empty promises to fix our problems but nothing was done

Not totally awesome but good enough, roomy condo in a great location

This condo was a great place for our family of 8. The floor plan / layout worked really well for us. We were very comfortable there. The unit could really use a deep cleaning. The carpets and furniture need shampooing and there is built-up dust and grime on walls and ceiling. Most of the window blinds don’t really work and could be replaced. Some of the windows wouldn’t open. The loft ceiling fan in the loft is really loud and sounds like it should be replaced. The kitchen had most things we needed to cook a few meals. The electric griddle didn’t work. There were enough beach towels and a couple of cheap boogie boards but no other equipment for the beach. We had to rent better boogie boards and snorkel gear for the week from Pedal Paddle. The pool was awesome and the kids loved spending time in it. The location of the unit was perfect within walking distance to Wylies beach and a nice shopping area with some places to eat. We would have given 5 stars if the unit would have been cleaner and if there would have been a few beach items and better equipped kitchen. If we come back to Kauai, we will probably stay here again and hope the property manager has done a deep cleaning and fixed a few things.

Usually, a fall deep clean is scheduled. Our owners are not required to have beach equipment as an amenity, there are many places to either purchase or rent those items if the owner doesn't supply them. Lovely and peaceful

The property was exactly as described we had everything we needed to have a lovely stay. Although I disagree that the deep cleaning should be done more than twice a year as in every time someone stays. It doesn’t take much effort to dust sans.

Good stay

Property was good the only issue was there were times when no parking was available and no instructions on where to park when that happened. Understand that central air is not common but would have thought air units would be available in rooms.

Overall, a wonderful place to stay. There were a couple of maintenance issues but nothing that spoiled a wonderful vacation. I would definitely keep this place in mind for my next Kaua'i visit.
