While The Dawn does not have elevators, the short journey down the stairs is well worth the enchanting experience awaiting you.

Step into a spacious one-bedroom, one-bath apartment where the living and dining areas seamlessly blend, leading out to a charming balcony. Savor your morning coffee amidst the gentle Gulf breezes, accompanied by the sight of seagulls and pelicans embarking on their daily fishing expeditions. The living space features a queen-size sleeper sofa, large flat-screen TV, and ample seating to enjoy the coastal ambiance.

Prepare delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen boasting modern amenities and ample storage space, including a full oven, large refrigerator, and dishwasher. Retreat to the cozy primary bedroom furnished with a king bed and an extra-large closet, while the full bath offers convenience with a step-in shower accessible from both the bedroom and living area. For added comfort, guests have access to a full-size washer/dryer in the laundry room.

The condo was perfect for us. Our only complaint was that the management company didn’t leave us enough towels for the three of us. When I called them they gave us a hard time but eventually brought us enough for us.

Beautiful And Peaceful

Overall the stay was definitely pleasantly peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable. Why I would recommend staying is because of the quick transfer of locations. I needed an accessible area, which is the disappointment, there are no elevators for those less fortunate to walk up 3 flights of stairs. However, the management staff secured a first floor apartment, so I stayed in 614, facing the gulf. Ocean view right in front of the seawall. The place was clean, convenient, although a few minor things, the stay was very must a beautiful and pleasantly peaceful experience. But if you don’t need accommodations for any of your guess, the Dawn is a nice place to stay from my personal experience. So 4 because of not having an elevator.

The condo was a great location for us as we planned to play golf and it is very close to the course. The pool and spa are very nice and the ocean view was superb. Had everything we needed, TV, king size bed, kitchen, Washer/dryer. The stairs were a little hard for our arthritis, but loved the 2nd story view. We didn't know about the parking fee until our arrival. Overall, it was a nice place for price.

Birds on balcony are a real health hazard

There are pigeons roosting on the balcony and they are not scared of humans. There was bird droppings everywhere on the balcony and furniture! They clearly had been in the condo as there was bird droppings on the bedroom nightstand. I took pictures and have sent to property manager. The location is great and pool is lovely. Kitchen needs more cutlery and supplies. If the bird issue hadn’t been there it would really have been a positive experience.

Great location and great view

We stayed in this condo for 3 weeks. Pictures are accurate - a little wear in places but nothing bad. The view from the balcony is great. The grounds are well maintained. The property management company was friendly and responsive to a few issues we had (including delivering a brand new washing machine when the original one made awful noises the first time we used it). The kitchen is minimally stocked (could use a larger fry pan) but we were able to make the majority of our meals there. The location couldn’t be better for beach access. The TV in the living room could not play Netflix. I troubleshooted and it was on the network and could connect to the Netflix servers so I think the TV is too old to update to the latest versions of streaming services. The bedroom TV could stream fine. Probably not an issue for short stays. We would stay there again.

Galveston at The Dawn

We loved the property. The only negative, and it is a Hugh one, is Thant none of the guest followed pool rules and no one from the complex even checked on either pool the five days we were there. There was age restrictions on the hot tub that no one followed. It was full of kids (1 yr up) with floats nearly as big as the hot tub. We tried to get in but could not. Kids were throwing ball completely across the pool hitting quests And knocking over drinks and cheered on by their parents. All the kids were running around the pool and running into people. Our towels were removed from the chairs we had and thrown on the ground. Unless this changes, we will not be back. So sad because we lived the condo and location

Wouldn't stay again.

After reading all the wonderful reviews, we decided on this specific unit. I feel like the pictures and the reviews were a bit deceiving. Im actually wondering if they delete honest reviews and onky show tge positive ones. This unit definitely needs some attention and mantinence. And overall, upgrading. For the price per night that is charged, I definitely expected a better maintained room. Our first night there, the ceiling fan blade FLEW OFF and landed just inches from our 3 year old daughter. So no using the rest of the trip, and she was terrified it was going to hurt her the whole time. There is mold and water leak damage to the celing in the bedroom as well. Also, a fist size hole in the shower ceiling. We had to stuff tissue in there to "close it up". Both the washing machine, and the dishwasher are extremely loud. Sounding like a jet plane about to take off. So if you do laundry, do it while you are out because it is crazy loud. We also found some hairs in the "clean" towels and some make-up on one of them. So we had to wash them before use. Definitely bring your own pans to cook with. The ones provided are cheap and dont cook food too great. They do have some decent kitchen supplies for your use otherwise. Bed was comfortable in the bedroom. Couch, not so much. Plenty of pillows and an extra set of sheets and blanket for use as well, so that was nice. Pool was nice. We used it both days. Parking felt safe, it is gated. Overall, I would Not stay in this unit again. HUGE safety issue with the fan blade flying off. Had it hit my daughter, we would have had some major issues. The shower could easily be fixed with a $10 patch kit from walmart. Touch up paint the walls. Fix the washer and dishwasher. And the ceiling can be fixed as well. Mold in a unit is NOT safe for people to be breathing in.

Great with a little maintenance

The property is in a great location. The condo is very nice and comfortable. There are just small things that need some maintenance. The towel bar in the bathroom fell the minute we touched it. One side of the sliding glass door doesn’t lock at all. The patio cushions are getting a little worn and dirty. The patio is a haven for pigeons and the deck could use a good power wash in between guests. You can’t go out there without shoes and have to clean every surface because of the pigeon droppings. But it’s the beach so it’s completely understandable. Also it’s inconvenient for guests that don’t have a vehicle to stop and pick up keys and drop them off at a different location. If there was a key drop onsite then that would be a great improvement.
