This location was perfect for attending BMT. It was very close. The neighborhood was safe and we could use the garage. The kitchen was fully stocked. Which made it very nice since we did all the meals there. The landscaping was beautiful. There were board games in the house to play. There were plently of towels and blankets.

Our stay at Casa Rufino was just wonderful!! We were down for our Son's BMT graduation from JB Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. Upon entry, the entire house was nice and cool which is so needed in the Texas heat. Everything was impeccably clean and so very well organized!! The open concept floor plan is very inviting to just relax and spend time together. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure for showers was perfect. We appreciated the ability to cook and grill nice meals and do laundry when needed. We really enjoyed having both indoor and outdoor games available.Off the back of the house is a nice covered patio we utilized every day we were there. Despite the heat, there is a sun shade that can be rolled down to block the intense sun rays. It was also lovely to stroll around the private enclosed back yard that has a rock path and admire the flowering bushes. We felt very safe and secure during our stay. The hostess Ruth was very kind, answered all my questions in a timely manner, and wished us safe travels upon our departure. Thanks Ruth (and George) for sharing your lovely home with us. If we are ever back in San Antonio, we will definitely hope to stay at Casa Rufino again!!

This is a great location if you are attending BMT graduation. It is easy to navigate to the base from the home and is a nice clean home to bring your Grad back to spend some time visiting.

Son graduated from the Air Force. Perfect distance, perfect set up for my family. Very clean everything you need if you were to cook there. We ended up eating out because we were on a time crunch. But, absolutely everything you could want or need.

Truly a 5 star home! Location is perfect, in a new neighborhood. The whole house was spotless. The backyard and patio are very nice. It's a very comfortable and beautiful home. You can't go wrong renting this home. We would definitely rent again.

Great Place & Location for Visiting Lackland AFB & Downtown San Antonio!

Prime location for visiting your son or daughter at Lackland AFB! Especially for Basic Training Graduation. The two main gates for the graduations events are just 8 minutes away and access to the highways to get to downtown San Antonio are close for a short 20 minute commute to see the Alamo and River Walk. The hosts and property are wonderful. We'll be back when our son's available for us to visit!

Very nice house close to Lackland AFB

This is a very nice place to stay. The house is great, although it is advertised as 4 BR, it only has 3 BR. Maybe they are counting the sofa in the living room? The backyard is beautiful, with a porch to sit on. Nice grass, flowers, and trees. I would definitely stay here again, but realize that someone may need to sleep on the couch.

Great place for Lackland Graduation CLOSE!

We decided this location for vrbo rental because of being literally moments from Luke East gate. The stay at the house was awesome. Very comfortable primary bedroom, split away from the other 2 bedrooms. Nice privacy. Kitchen was well stocked and pantry had the little things already supplied. Clean and neat and nice grills to relax in back yard. New landscaping in backyard to play fun yard games. We cornhole family and boards were in garage. Neighborhood is quiet and nice neighbor next door. Our new airman love love loved it. Felt as close to home as possible along with 5 min back to base, no traffic. Thank you Ruth! Great rental! :).

Wonderful Retreat!

We loved our stay at this well-equipped home, which had plenty of space for our family. The beds were not too firm, which was a plus as I slept well every night. We were all grateful for the extra fans! The bedroom linens were clean, and the whole house smelled fresh! The bathrooms were well-stocked, and the water pressure in the showers was tremendous. The kitchen was also well-stocked, and the pantry had extra helpful items for our indoor days. The backyard was well-maintained with a lovely desert theme, perfect for evening outdoor hangouts. The garage was a great feature, although it could only fit two regular-size vehicles and may not accommodate larger vehicles. Check-in was easy, and Ruth was a great hostess, answering any concerns we had in a timely manner. The only thing this home may need to improve is ceiling fans in the other two bedrooms. Other than that, the house was fantastic! I would highly recommend renting this home, and it is a beautiful gem.

Excellent location and property for BMT graduation

Stayed for a BMT graduation. Home was close to base and perfect location. Home is exceptionally clean and the best stocked VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. House has everything you need and I would definitely stay here again. Ruth was quick and responsive to question. I personally did not love the alarm system but may have been user error and not being techy, but that’s a personal opinion and I’m sure most other guest appreciate the additional safety feature. The only suggestion I have is a hook for two in the bathrooms to hang towels and a nightlight in the bathroom. Again, ridiculously minor suggestion and overall give this home a 10 out of 5 stars. Perfect home to celebrate our airman during a Texas ice storm. Thanks Ruth! Appreciate your hospitality.

The house was absolutely perfect for our stay near Lackland! Our party of six were in town for my son's graduation from BMT. Just minutes away from the Valley Hi gate meant getting to the base early in the morning was easy. We had enough space to be able to do our own things in the evenings, but also plenty of room when we wanted to come together and spend time with our airman. I loved being able to cook and share meals. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve. And the dishwasher made clean up a breeze. The San Antonio heat was a little much for us, so we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful backyard as much as we'd hoped. We definitely appreciated the lovely landscaping and so many little touched that made us feel welcome. Check in was very easy and the host was wonderful about responding to every message and question we had. I would definitely recommend the house to anyone staying in the area.
