We arrived at the home after 4:00 and the house was dirty from previous occupants. I called the owners and she said a maid would come over to clean. A maid came, but was unable to clean. I had to clean all the bathrooms, strip all the old bedding and make the beds. I also had to wash the sheets and blankets for the king size bed because they did not have an extra set. I was devastated to have spent so much money to stay at this property, only to spend a day and a half cleaning it. The pool area and back deck were so messy with sticks, leaves, and dirt. The property owners never communicated back with me after telling me a maid would come and clean. We were left to clean it all!! have pictures and will try to upload them.

We had such a great time. The perfect place to stay for watching the fireworks over the Island. Wonderful location, just right off the strip and very easy to drive to. Beautiful, clean home with plenty of space for my family.

Location perfect

Check in was an easy process.Once inside dirty dishes in sink, several beds covered in dog hair had to wash sheets & deck area had dog crap everywhere. For 4 bedroom very small hot tub , pool area very nice to be able to utilize in warmer season.Location is awesome with spectacular views of Pigeon Forge and private.

Excellent place. Comfortable and close to attractions but still away from town. Very clean on inside. Only issue was pool and deck area needed cleaning and leaf removal.

Could not have asked for anything more. Perfect location. Heated pool for the day, hot tub at night. Fully gated place for the dog. Extremely clean house and well stocked kitchen for all our needs. Will always check availability here first when going back to Pigeon Forge.

Loved it!

We had a great time Jim and Ellen were great to work with, there was bit of an issue not at any fault of owner but with their housekeeper. However they did make it right and contacted me immediately to fix the issue and were great to talk to. This is our second stay here and I would stay again, the location is perfect and the house is great for a large group and the fact it is pet friendly makes it a 5 start rating on its own. Thank you Jim and Ellen for sharing your home with us, we hope to visit again!

Relaxing step away

Ellen was very kind and communicative. The place is clean, with many personal touches to make you feel at home. The kitchen is well stocked with a large variety of cooking tools for whatever you might feel like making. The home is spacious, well kept, and very dog friendly. It's so rare to find a handicap accessable rental, especially in the mountains and although I did not personally need those features, I am happy they are present so all vacationers feel welcome and included. It is a bonus that the home is located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, but we were happy to stay at the home for all of its amenities, regardless of location. That said, you can see the parkway from the property, but you're far enough from the action for it to still be quiet and relaxing. We had a great stay!

Perfect location

The home was a perfect size for my family.However , some things were a little dated. My sister is disabled and we are not notified that the lift chair was broken and the part was on back order. That made our stay a little bit difficult. That information should have been shared before our arrival. The pool was nice.We had to call so that we could get the heater working properly. The property manager was all over it. He sent a pool guy immediately. Over all the location is perfect. Just far away enough to get away from the noise , but in the mountain where it's beautiful. Very close to everything. I do recommend this property.

We were very happy with the location of this house. The size of it was great! And the fenced in area was perfect for our pups. The cleaning crew could pay more attention to detail. Lots of dust on furniture. We couldn’t use the upstairs shower due to the faucet needed replacing. We had to share the master bathroom shower. Both old grills need replacing. Nothing about the outside deck/pool area was inviting. The hodgepodge of furniture was in disarray and very dirty. You can tell that back in the day this house was beautiful and nice for entertaining. With some updates inside and out, it could be once again.

we have hauled away the grills and replacing with a new one. my wife left open a few days for the cleaning crew to do a fall cleaning early. the house is always booked up solid. the issues have been taken care of. owners

We arrived on a Thursday afternoon. That evening I contacted the owner about a huge amount of hair, potentially dog hair, in one of the bedrooms. They responded the next afternoon and said they would send the maid. The maid never showed up to clean it by the time we left of Sunday. I wish I could share pictures to show everyone how disgusting it was along the baseboard and under the bed.

we tried and tried to get the maid service to go over but they never did. we are firing the company and looking for another company. its very upsetting to us. maid service in pigeon forge is having a major shortage this year. owners

Dirty and late checkin

Check In was at 4pm and I was sent a message to make sure I wasnt early or late at checkout at 11 or I would be charged because they were having problems with that. We arrived at 6:30 which is 2 1/2 hours after checkin and the cleaning lady was there. We left and went to get groceries and came back and she was still there. The downstairs bedroom had not been done and I brought it to her attention and she said she forgot it. She then said we could take the towels out when they get done and unload the dishwaher when it finished and she left. We swept the floor and there was so much dog hair we could have knitted a small dog with it. The location is great! But the cleanliness is Terrible and peeling and cracking of ceilings and walls needs to be addressed. The stair lift worked and was an asset.Also it would have been nice to have use of the garage so we could have pulled our vehicles in during the rain. The power went out upstairs but we were able to locate the breaker to get it going again prettu quickly. There is a nice jetted tub for two in the master bath but unfortunately the water didnt stay hot long enough to fill it past the jets so it wasnt useful.

Nice home in a great location

My family just returned home from a weeklong stay here and we highly recommend it to anyone looking at a PF visit. The house is larger than it looks with more room than my family of 4 needed. It was clean and my wife who loves to cook really appreciated that the nice cookware provided in the kitchen. The private outdoor pool was also amazing and secluded from neighbor's view. It was heated, but we didn't need to adjust anything as it was pretty warm from the sun. We really liked that it had just the right amount of shady spots to retreat. The fenced yard was also great for our dog. Yes, the house decor is a little dated, but my family loved that about it as it reminded us of the home we grew up in and gave it a very cozy feel. The major highlight is the location. It is literally right behind the strip and you can see the parkway from the home. It made getting around town and doing activities such a breeze, as we were never more than 20 minutes from anything, including Gatlinburg. Just a couple of minor issues- The hot tub didn't heat most of our stay, but the owner was very responsive and got it working for our last night. Also, we would have appreciated notice when the pool/maintenance people were coming since we have young girls and a dog that weren't expecting strangers to pop up. We asked the owners for a head up, but I'm not sure if they were given notice. Overall, we loved it here and hope to return soon. Thanks Ellen and Jimmy for hosting us in your lovely home!

Geweldig. Wij komen uit Europa en onze droom was om in een typisch Amerikaans huis te logeren. Dat is dit zeker. Het is een compleet huis, er ontbreekt helemaal niets. Heel schoon ook. Het uitzicht vanaf de tuin naar de verlichte stad, het zwembad en de schommelstoelen. We vonden alles geweldig. Dikke aanrader.
