Don't forget, peak season is in swing and during peak season, we book Saturday to Saturday. So, if you're looking and don't see any availability, check to see if your stay duration falls under those parameters as that usually is the problem :) But, as always, feel free to reach out as we are always happy to help!
At 3 Bedrooms and sleeping 10, one side of On Golden Pond 3 is the smallest, and most cost-efficient, of my places. Yet its cute, comfy, and a perfect place to spend your vacay! This listing is for the B unit of On Golden Pond #3.
OGP3A: Nice 3BR for less than a hotel! Community Pool. Dock. Quiet. Relax... for less! Can also be rented as a very affordable 6BR 6BA in the middle of Gulf Shores West Beach.
If you need a really nice smaller home, on a budget, OGP3 is perfect! Most seasons, it is less than the cost of a single hotel room per night, yet located in the middle of West Beach, lagoon side (nice shared dock and pool!), and only a short walk (1/4 mile) to the beach (you walk right next to my Seafoam home!).
3BR 3BA. OGP3 is lagoon side, however, it is not lagoon front (like my OGP5 home is). Easy access to the community dock, beach, and pool all right on the lagoon. Nice! And a nice price!
Looking for something a little smaller than most of my properties? Just as nice though! And at a great price!? OGP3 may be the perfect place for you!
On Golden Pond #3, aka OGP3, is a beautiful vacation home with easy access to the community dock, beach, and pool all right on the lagoon. OGP3 is on a private cul de sac shared by mostly owner occupied homes. OGP3 is not lagoon front though you can see the lagoon from the front deck for your little peak at the water in the evenings. OGP3 is the north side of a duplex (no shared living spaces) and we know the owners of the other side if you are interested in both, we are happy to reach out. If you want lagoon front, and a little bigger, check out my On Golden Pond #5 home!
This vacation home also features covered parking and access to the dock, pool, and beach. This unit is a tremendous value.

NICE COMMUNITY POOL, FISHING DOCK, AND BEACH
The pool is on the lagoon. Great views of lagoon, pier, dock, while relaxing poolside. The pool is a 24x14x3-5' Community Pool. There's even a small lagoon, sand, beach right by the pool!
Fishing too from the nice community fishing pier and dock.
GULF BEACH ACCESS
Public beach access is a 3 minute walk on a quiet road, then across west beach (as a crosswalk), right next to my Seafoam home! There is ALSO a lagoon front beach by our community pool. MORE? Yes. You can take the new pedestrian walkway from the road outside our home to the Calloway Bridge (and the public beach there too!). Nice walk along the lagoon!
PARKING
There is available onsite parking for at least 4 cars. In fact, you could park more cars than you should be driving for a 10 person place! Inquire if you have special vehicle needs.
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 250Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.
PETS
We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Please inquire.
No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time!

We love this location because you’re just steps away from the community pool and the private dock and sandy beach on the lagoon—it’s such a perfect, calm spot for the little ones to splash and play. 🏊♂️🛶 Plus, having that short stroll over to the Gulf beach gives you the best of both worlds! 🏖️🌊
For your next trip, remember we have plenty of ways to enjoy the 'Golden' life! You can rent out both sides of On Golden Pond 3 for a 6-bedroom setup (perfect for two families!), or if you need a bit more space in one house, check out On Golden Pond 5—it’s a spacious 5-bedroom right on the lagoon front! 🌅🙌

Everything was just as described! Spotless and clean! We loved the location and the home was perfect for our needs. We had one small glitch and the host was super fast to respond and get everything back on track! The communication was great, exceeded our expectations! We are already planning a return visit! The location is perfect, and steps away from the beach, close to all the fun, but quiet and peaceful!

Another great year!
This was our second snowbird season with Bama Beach Houses, and it was another great year!
The beach house was spacious, clean, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The location matched the photos exactly—safe neighborhood, quiet, with easy access to the beach and walking trails.
We keep returning to Bama Beach Houses because they are so easy to work with, offer great deals, and are always quick to respond to any concerns during our extended stay.
We did encounter two minor issues: the TV cable connection wasn't working properly, and the security door lock battery ran low halfway through our stay. Both were addressed immediately—within a couple of hours.
Everyone we interacted with was courteous and helpful throughout our time here. We're already booked for next year's stay with BBH!

Great location and spacious property!
Everything was wonderful from the beginning process of booking the property all the way through the stay! This was our first time traveling with one of our dogs so we were nervous we wouldn’t find a decent pet friendly location but we were not disappointed! Thank you again and we will definitely be back!

Amazing
Everything about this place was amazing. The location, spaciousness, cleanliness, comfort and amenities were all great. 4 adults and 6 teens stayed and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The dock was a great place to hang out and the beach was only a 4 minute walk with public beach access right there. Could not be more pleased with the stay.

Perfect for an extended stay.
I couldn’t have been happier with this place and location. Community dock was perfect for sunsets and fishing. Plenty of places to walk and enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Internet/Wi-Fi was great and allowed me to work remotely without a hitch. Kitchen was well stocked and the Master bedroom was quite comfortable. Would definitely be a place that I would stay again someday.

We really enjoyed our stay at OGP3. The management company was great and kept in touch via email. Everything went smoothly. It's very clean and neat. I love the paint colors and decor. It's really cute and located in a great spot....

Perfect Location
This property was everything we wanted it to be and more. The layout was perfect for 3 couples! We each had our own bathrooms and space! The location was also perfect! Very easy walk to the beach, and far enough off the beaten path to be serene among the hustle and bustle of 40,000 people in town for Sand in My Boots festival. It was approximately 3 miles from The Hangout, and a very easy walk for any walkers. We chose to Uber to the festival to avoid the heat and walk back afterwards. The beds were comfy and water pressure was perfect. Will definitely book again.

Perfect all around!
Place is in great location. Short walking distance to the beach. Enough room for us to park cars under it and hang out. The host was excellent with communicating with us and helping with all accommodations. Friendly and responded quickly. Definitely a great trip and would definitely stay there again. Stayed in both sides as a bigger group then a few extra days in the "B" side.

Great accommodations and location
Our family had a wonderful time staying at 3B. It was our first time at the Gulf Shores, and it surpassed every expectation we had! We definitely enjoyed our accommodations and found the place perfect for our vacation desires… space, size, cleanliness, location, proximity to the beach, etc. I fell in love with being able to sit under the shared dock and watch fish jump, boats go by or just a cup of coffee. The location is great… super short walk to the beach yet also can enjoy the lagoon side as well from the dock or small beach. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. We hope to come back…

Our Gulf Shores extended winter vacation - 2023
Overall, we found the property to be comfortable. The layout of the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms was very nice. The living room furniture could use an upgrade, i.e., the couch was not comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils and dishes.

Golden stay at Golden Pond
The property was very nice and clean and plenty of room! Very close to walk to beach! Furniture was not very comfortable for long term guest! Metal chairs got very hard! Must be willing to climb stairs, lots and lots of stairs! Or need to be in good physical shape or maybe just a little younger! Overall good experience and great price!

Bummed to lose a star for 'furniture that was not very comfy for long term guest': in direct comm sounds like you would have preferred soft seated chairs instead of hard ones at the dining table. 🙁 Next time, shoot us a note, for a long term stay, could have arm-twisted me into some cushions perhaps, but... beyond that, super happy to hear everything else was just peachy! And, yes... all beach homes are one floor up, so... stairs... and duplex type ones, like this one, generally are a straight shot of stairs, so, you do get your vertical steps in! Happy to have you again, and we can look for other options with different steps, though those are mostly bigger, and beachfront, stand alone homes... but I am sure we can find something! My wife's family have traveled to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Alabama for decades. I became a tag along in the late 1990s, so a Gulf Shores guy by marriage. One thing led to another and we ended up a several large, family-friendly, large group friendly, places along the Gulf, along with this little gem. On Golden Pond #3 is a smaller place. And its not on the beach. It's on the lagoonside. Yet OGP3 is right in the heart of West Beach, and a short walk to the beach itself. Fabulous dock and nice community pool. Check out the photos. Quiet cul-de-sac too! And... price price price. Nice place, nice price!
My wife's family have traveled to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Alabama for decades. I became a tag along in the late 1990s, so a Gulf Shores guy by marriage. One thing led to another and we ended up a several large, family-friendly, large group friendly, places along the Gulf, along with this little gem. So if 5-8, 10, 12 or more bedrooms is a bit too big (and pricey), OGP3 may be the perfect stay for you and your crew!
