Les Jardins - TOURNUS
Valérie welcomes you to a beautiful, characterful 19th-century bourgeois residence, fully and meticulously restored. Peace and tranquility abound in the heart of a beautiful 1.4-hectare property (featuring a lovely large garden, a convivial "barbecue" area with a fire pit, griddle and pizza oven, and a private pontoon "on the water"), nestled on the banks of the Saône, in a cul-de-sac within a peaceful residential area steeped in history (with a rich past of renowned "artisanal tile works"), bordering a gentle plain of cultivated fields and meadows, facing the picture-postcard quays of the town (illuminated at night). A renowned gastronomic destination with its Michelin-starred restaurants, this charming town, with its striking colorful facades lending it an unusual Mediterranean charm, is crisscrossed by gentle pedestrian streets. It boasts all modern amenities, an invaluable heritage, a unique level of sports and leisure facilities, and enjoys a sublime, unspoiled landscape (a succession of hedged meadows, rivers, beautiful wild forests, and vineyard-covered hillsides). This spacious and very comfortable gîte (holiday cottage) offers a warm, rustic charm, blending contemporary style with ethnic touches, enhanced by elegant stone walls and original beams. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, full of charm. A terrace facing the rising sun overlooks the courtyard, offering a beautiful, unobstructed view of the Saône River and Tournus. Composition: 4 gîtes and the owners' wine bar (open May to August, weekends only). The house comprises 2 separate gîtes (completely independent). Wi-Fi (fiber optic). Gas central heating. Washing machine in a shared laundry room (accessible from the outside). Ground floor: living room/kitchen/lounge, 2 bedrooms (one with a 160x200cm double bed and the other with a 140x190cm double bed), shower room, separate WC. Private terrace and parking. 1.4 ha grounds (courtyard and garden with a terrace area equipped with a barbecue/fire pit/plancha grill and pizza oven) and shared bicycle storage. All amenities within 1 km. Supermarket 1.5 km. For the pleasure of a relaxing stay on the Left Bank, nestled in the peace and quiet "by the water" on the banks of the Saône! Between "town & country", all shops & services on site! Beautiful bourgeois residence of character from the 19th century carefully restored located "in a cul-de-sac" on a vast property of 1.4 ha, in the heart of a peaceful residential area steeped in history, facing the "postcard-perfect" quays of the charming gastronomic and commercial town of Tournus (world-renowned abbey site & river marina and unique level of sports & leisure facilities), equidistant from Dijon & Lyon. In the heart of the gentle, unspoiled Tournugeois countryside (protected in ZNIEFF & various Natura 2000 zones for its rich ecosystems), combining hedgerows, beautiful wild forests & vineyard slopes (first vines only 3.5 km away), in the heart of the Val de Saône on the wooded foothills of the South Burgundy massif (wild & protected), a stone's throw from the remarkable Truchère Nature Reserve (exceptional ecosystem, mosaic of natural environments, adjoining the Saône-Seille confluence). An exceptionally privileged location on the Romanesque Churches circuit, the Blue Route (along the Saône River) adjacent to the Green Route of the "Great Loop of Southern Burgundy", the "Cycloroute71" (Tour of the Saône-et-Loire by bike), the renowned GTM mountain bike circuit, certified "FFC Mountain Bike" (Grand Tour of the Southern Burgundy Massif connected to a vast network of similar marked mountain bike trails crisscrossing the massif), marked hiking trails in "green walks" (a rich network of identical paths crisscrossing the area, for hiking or mountain biking), the GR76 and the famous GR of the "ViaCluny" (adjacent to the historic "Monks' Way" which once linked the abbeys of Cîteaux and Cluny), in close proximity to the various wine routes ("Route des Grands Vins" & "Route des Vins de Bourgogne"), and 14 km from the renowned Mont Blanc downhill mountain bike track Saint-Romain. In the heart of the Tournugeois-Clunisois (labeled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), at the crossroads of the vineyards of the Côtes Mâconnaises & Côtes Chalonnaises, at the crossroads of the Ain and the rich territories of the Mâconnais, the Bresse Bourguignonne & the Chalonnais. Ideal for exploring the region (A6 motorway nearby): 7 km from Cuisery, one of only 8 French "Book Villages," 12 km from the medieval village of Brancion, 16 km from Lugny ("the small capital of the Haut-Mâconnais region," home to the first winery producing Burgundy wines), 24 km from the medieval town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National (a designated "Town of Character of Burgundy-Franche-Comté"), 28 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (a designated "Town of Art and History"), 30 km from Louhans (capital of the Bresse region, renowned for its famous Monday market, a designated "Remarkable Site of Taste"), 31 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV train station 37 km away), 34 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, and 42 km from... A magnificent landscaped gem nestled among the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson (a designated "Grand Site de France"), 46 km from Vonnas (the gastronomic and gourmet village of Georges Blanc) and 55 km from Beaune. The property's four cottages can be rented together, accommodating up to 15 people (including cottages 3336, 3337, and 3339). The perfect spot for a truly refreshing and rejuvenating holiday, with the added bonus of access to a private dock on the water!
