Pet friendly Relaxing Cabin experience and remote access Host was amazing and very informative and helpful for us to have a good trip. Cabin was in a remote peaceful location. You will be away from facilities so pack all you want to keep your stay peaceful and remote to clear your mind. If you are looking a place to rest go here. When it’s cold it would be an awesome place since it was warm we couldn’t use the gas fireplace. God bless .

The cabin is in a great location with beautiful views right from the porches. Newland isn’t far to go for supplies and Banner Elk and Linville Falls are an easy drive. The outdoor fire pit and gas logs in the den complete the mountain vacation experience. There is a heavy duty charcoal grill next to the fire pit as well. Everything is very clean and we had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The host is very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. It’s a very comfortable space for two couples or a family of 4 with 2 bedrooms and the fold out sofa in the den. We traveled with our dog and the pet fee was reasonable. The driveway can be a little tricky, but is manageable with a front wheel drive vehicle (tip: turning off the traction control helps with navigating the driveway in wet conditions). We totally enjoyed our stay.

Real log cabin with a fire pit was a hit with the young (10 and 6) grandkids as well as the mountain setting. The cabin is well furnished.

I am sorry the street number was not at the entrance. In the welcome letter sent to you via email I explain to you, in the directions to watch for the number on the mailbox which is my cabin go up the driveway and rental cabin is on the right. Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you, we are going to put the additional address for future travelers. The additional fee was the Pet fee , which is very clear on the site before you made the reservation, you just failed to note you had any pets and you had 2 dogs Thanks

Enjoyed the star gazing, fire pit and the location being up near top of a ridge. Well built and designed cabin. Enjoyed the stay. Kids loved it (almost 5 and 6).

Tranquil Get-Away

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was perfect for a family of four. It is in a secluded area providing so much relaxation and peace, but still close enough to the towns in the area.

The cabin was exactly as described. Cozy, comfortable and well equippef. It was a beautiful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of town life. It was very clean(except for the few bugs that liked the cabin life too). We had rain the entire trip, but the fire place helped warm our bones. The driveway up to the cabin was a little unnerving, but on par for the area and we soon mastered it. We brought our 2 dogs, and they loved wondering the mountain side.

Comfy, cozy log cabin with stunning mountain views

Fabulous cabin with amazing view and creek sounds, a private location near hiking, shopping, visiting the fabulous Grandfather Mountain and even convenient to pick up groceries.

Solitude and beautiful cabin

Centrally located to all state parks we wanted to visit (and a couple other waterfalls/areas we hadn’t planned on) Owner, Debbie, was very helpful. Cabin well furnished, will definitely book again when we venture back to the area.

Great Getaway

Our family had a fantastic stay in the heart of the mountains. The cabin was just as described…the only problem was that we couldn’t stay longer! We look forward to returning for another stay in the future.

Beautiful area and a cozy mountain cabin!

The front porch was one of our favorite places, to sit in the rocking chairs and take in the view. The cabin had pretty much everything we could need for our stay. Would definitely recommend!

A great place to stay

We were looking for a quiet place to stay that was pet friendly and this cabin was perfect. The view from the front porch was beautiful and seeing deer in the front yard was hard to beat. The owners Debbie and Don were great to work with. We will definitely be back next year.
