Bluebird Rest - Lakefront Cottage

Step back in time and relax in this 1950s lakefront cottage situated on 4 beautiful lake front lots. This 1950’s home was used as a safe house many years ago. Beautiful remodel includes a screened in back porch with a running creek that falls into the lake from the yard.
Located in the heart of the TN Whiskey Trail, it’s a short scenic 20 min. to Jack Daniel’s and Prichards Distillery. Minutes away is a favorite canoe drop off on the Elk River, as well as many hiking locations. Tim’s Ford Lake is only about 30 minutes away, as well as Sewanne and Monteagle where hiking trails are abundant.

Lincoln Lake is located just down the creek from Flintville Fish Hatchery where rainbow trout are raised and distributed. Luxury bed linens are provided for a relaxing nights sleep. Stone patio and fire pit are the perfect spot for relaxing, bird watching and enjoying evening cocktails. Beautiful sunrises in the morning with the cool evening shade makes this cottage an excellent place to enjoy time with friends or family.
Bald eagles live here as well as an abundance of waterfowl, turkey, deer and other wildlife.

Two kayaks are provided for our guests to enjoy.

The kitchen was very well equipped. Other than groceries, there was nothing that we needed that wasn’t already there. I am a recovering cancer patient, and this PEACEFUL getaway was just what I needed after a long season of treatment. The host was very friendly, and communicated well. If a cabin became available here, I would buy it!

A very nice place to stay! Clean, pet-friendly, great beds and linens, well-stocked kitchen, excellent communication with the owner while onsite. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, bike rides, walks, and enjoying the view from the screened-in porch.The landscaping was top-notch. I especially enjoyed walking the property and enjoying the gardens. We will be back soon!

Perfect little get away from it all

Peaceful scenic getaway with a view ! Husband & I stayed here for our 36th wedding anniversary. We spent lots of time enjoying the lake view from the screened in porch. Perfect for drinking coffee in the morning or having a glass of wine with candlelight in the evenings. My husband did some fishing( all is provided for you) we took evening walks arpund the lake. We saw all kinds of wildlife rabbits, herons, deer, geese, ducks, hawks & lots of diffrent birds. We did the areas Whiskey Trail . We visited Prichards distillery, Jack Daniel's & George Dickel Cascade Hollow distillery. We did a float trip from Lucky Duck floats. All was great! There was a Doller General close by where we stocked up on items we wanted to eat. We cooked out hamburgers one night. You wont be disappointed.

Relaxing Getaway

This place is great for relaxing by the lake and kayaking. We enjoyed our evenings by the fire pit and mornings on the screened in porch. The cottage is very clean and had everything we needed for our getaway. The first time crossing the damn/spillway is a little unnerving but after a couple of times you get used to it. I highly recommend visiting Pritchards distillery, a short drive from the lake.

Perfect getaway

We stayed for a week and had an awesome time! This place is perfect. Enjoyed the peace and quite, the beautiful home, and of course, the fishing! On the last day, we experienced an eagle catching a fish! We will be back!

Cute Cottage!!

My husband and I booked this cottage around plans to go to Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg TN. We loved the lake views, the screened in porch with big sliding doors for an indoor/oudoor living space, and the quaint home like feeling of this house with so much history and beautiful decor and landscaping too! We went to Jack Daniels as planned and spent time in the square in Lynchburg which was so nice and a close drive from this cottage but we couldn't wait to get back and relax on the porch and look out at the lake. We witnessed a bald eagle dive into the lake and catch a fish...so cool to see that! It rained all weekend but that just added to the coziness. Looking forward to returning again! Fayetteville is also close with a great tasting room for Big Creek Winery, amazing wine selection! Such a great area of TN to explore. Plenty to do and see...or just don't leave the cottage!

Beautiful and Quiet retreat

We just couldn’t get the fish to bite (as our 6 year old stomping around the dock haha). We only wish we got to cruise on the golf cart, but really no need to leave such a beautiful property!

100% Relaxation

We absolutely love this house. The lake view is amazing & the back porch & swing is to die for. It’s literally my favorite place on earth. This was our third year in a row visiting & we hope to continue our annual getaway. The neighborhood is so calm & quiet & the house is clean & cozy. Perfect for a peaceful time away.

Great Cottage by the lake

My grandson and I absolutely loved our stay at this quaint quiet cottage by the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit just feet from the lake listening to music and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. The inside is nicely decorated and very clean with an awesome view. The owners provided everything we needed!

Excellent staycation!

We needed a nearby getaway for our birthday celebrations and found ‘Bluebird Rest’ located at tranquil Lincoln Lake via VRBO and what a great choice we made indeed!! 😊 The property, the spectacular views, the wonderful hostess, the sweet community and the beautiful nature that surrounded us was more than we could have asked for which made our get away trip even more special/memorable!! Definitely recommend you experience this on your own. We plan to do so again very soon!! (-:

An exceptional experience at Bluebird’s Rest

My husband and I travel and use Vrbo several times a year. Bluebird’s Rest was the most exceptional, well thought out and hospitable stay we have ever experienced. The amenities and location were beyond our expectations. From the extra bug spray to balsamic vinegar, from the temperature of the house to the box fan we needed, at every juncture this host delivered!

Very peaceful

We stayed here so we could visit Falls Mill. Bluebird Rest was a good base to explore the area. My two kids (aged 6 and 3) loved the golf cart and the kayak.

A wonderful relaxing week.

I rented this cabin while my son attended Space Camp. I could not have been more pleased. The owner was very hospitable abs friendly. My first morning she stopped by to say hello and gave me a dozen farm fresh eggs. She checked in periodically to see how things were going. The house is equipped very well and I will for sure be back next year!

Beautiful, peaceful cottage!

Well-decorated and comfortable cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting! We really enjoyed a respite at the cottage after the holiday season. It’s a great place to read, play board games, meditate, and hang out. The back porch and view are idyllic! We will definitely try to stay here again when the weather is warmer.

This bungalow is even better than it looks. The furnishings, decor, and amenities exceeded our expectations. The lake community is quiet and quaint and the view was outstanding. The most relaxing place EVER

This was our 2nd time visiting Bluebird Rest & we plan to go again! The area & lake are so calm, quiet & peaceful. I could sit on the back deck on the swing & read for hours (days maybe?) or just enjoy the beautiful view. Everything looks just like in the pictures but even better in real life. If you want to get away to a quiet retreat, I highly recommend!!
