You will love this family friendly ,cozy house located at the edge of town with a big, beautiful park across the rd. There are lots of paved walking trails, jungle gyms, swings sets and a tennis court. There are also grills and picnic tables. They added a new splashpad this year!! Our house is 7 miles to the Amish town of Kalona, Enjoy a donuts and coffee from Golden Delight Bakery! Soft ice-cream from Yodys. or a cup of coffee from The Coffee house! The Kalona sales barn is 7 miles from our house. There is always lots to do or see in Kalona. Iowa City is 25 mins north. A big city with a university hospital, where people com seeking medical help from afar, There are lots of stores and things to do!

Overall great place to stay. Very roomy with plenty of accommodations for guest. Short drive to riverside casino. We definitely recommend this listing as a choice to stay.

My family really enjoyed our stay. The property is in a great location with a park across the street. The house is very clean. We would definitely stay here again. We even had a morning visit from the neighbor’s dog, which made our day. Thanks so much!

We were here for a reunion in the area, was a perfect place to stay. A nice park across the street that we used quite a bit, walking, disc golf, basketball. Enjoyed the 2 living rooms, reclining couch! Quiet neighborhood, we would come back!

Cozy house stay

Stayed for three nights - 4 adults and a 6 year old. Very quiet area and comfortable, cozy house.. Made good use of the park/playground across the street. Rental was everything as advertised. Enjoyed supper at Pizza on the Farm - a great experience. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

House was perfect for us. Was clean except some spider webs and spiders in the tub. Also was not aware that there would be no TV so thankfully we had laptops to keep entertained on our down time. My son would have liked to have some frisbees for frizbee golf.

Our stay was very pleasant The furnishings were beautiful and comfy. The kitchen was large with a large fridge. We didn't realize that there was no TV, but we didn't really miss it. The whole house was very clean.

Nice and quiet

It was great to have a double garage! Quiet location and the park across the street with walking park is a big plus. The big frig with ice maker was handy. We did not need a TV, but if you do, note that there is not one here.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed our stay. There was more space than we expected. Everything was overall very clean and felt nice. Plenty of space for our 6 adults. The one downfall we had was that there is not a single TV in the whole house. This worked out for us because we were in town for a family affair, but just something to be aware of. It just surprises us, but we might have missed that in the listing as well. We loved our stay and appreciated nice quiet accommodations after long days.

Pleasant Stay, Minor Drawbacks

We recently stayed at this property and overall had a pleasant experience. The house was just as advertised—nicely redone with modern decor and comfortable furnishings. It was clean, spacious, and provided a cozy atmosphere for our stay. There were a couple of drawbacks. The walls were a bit thin, which made it easy to hear noise around the house with 3 kids. This occasionally disrupted our peace and quiet. Additionally, the kitchen could have been better stocked given the listing, but what we had got us by. Despite these minor issues, we had a good time and appreciated the efforts put into making this place comfortable. It served our needs well for a getaway in a quiet, out of the way spot. The playground across the street was great for kids.

Great alternative to Iowa City after a Hawkeye game

We originally tried to find a hotel room in Iowa City after a Hawkeye game but everything was booked solid. Found this place on VRBO and it worked really well for our family of 4. Home is very clean with modern/updated bathrooms and appliances. Cell service was almost nonexistent so appreciated the Wi-Fi! Wellman is also a cute little Iowa town that’s worth a stop on its own. We would recommend.

Friends weekend out

This home was a cozy and accommodating place for three friends from different locations to meet and relax. We spent a day going through the shops in Kalona, of course, and ate at the Brewery there. (FUN place!!) At night we ate at Cilano's. Great menu and food!! Brad took good care of us. I would recommend this home.
