Paradise so close to the city

Me and my wife stayed 4 nights at this wonderful property. The accommodations were just right for us and the back yard was glorious with several areas to sit and get sun or shade and to relax between outings. A small pool and hot tub were nice and warm providing us respite from our Maine winter. The hosts were friendly an available, but kept to themselves. We would book this proprty again.

Relaxing Getaway

This was a beautiful property with excellent hosts. Dave and Jed were both very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed and gave great recommendations on things to do around the area. The property was also very clean and well maintained and the pool was a great way to unwind after a day of activities. My partner and I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area. Most things were within walking distance including some great restaurants and shopping.

This was our 30th wedding anniversary, when we arrived there was a bottle wine and a nice card waiting for us. Upon arrival seeing the gardens for the first time was unbelievable it looked like a private rain forrest. The private pool was amazing and so much fun. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Town was quick walk or drive away. The host are very helpful and nice. If you need a beautiful place to stay close to St Augustine this is it!

A serene place to stay.

The gardens are beautiful. If you mostly want to just relax, maybe read a book, this is the place. If you want to get out it's an easy walk to downtown if your reasonably fit or you can drive to the beach or other attractions on Anastasia Island.The studio was very well equipped. We stayed for a week, ate most meals in and the small kitchen had everything we needed.

From the minute we booked our stay, and received a welcoming text from Dave&Jed, it was evident of how much love & care they put into their home. Cute 1-Bedroom Apartment

Dave and Jeb were wonderful hosts. Their apartment is really cute. Nice bathroom, living room and spacious bedroom. They have beautiful gardens and different small walking paths. It was very peaceful which is just what I wanted. They have a pool on the property also with various sitting areas. I would definitely book this apartment again.

This property is extremely clean and perfect for one or two adults looking to stay in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to many bars, restaurants, shops and historic sites. If you like to grill, check out Chop Shop (within easy walking or biking distance) for fresh seafood, produce and good wine. David and Jed are friendly and accommodating and take pride in offering their guests full use of the gorgeous courtyard-esque grounds that are beautifully lit at night for a romantic spa experience. Nestled in a shaded botanical retreat on the tip of Anastasia Island, just across the Bridge of Lions from historic downtown St. Augustine, our slice of paradise awaits you. My husband Jed and I are passionate adventurers with a deep love for nature. As a Master Gardener and Landscape Designer, Jed has a keen eye for beauty, while my background as a retired Professor of Biology and Environmental Science allows me to appreciate and medal with the intricate wonders of our surroundings.
In 2015, we were drawn to St. Augustine's warm climate and breathtaking landscapes, deciding to make this enchanting city our home. Three years later, we built our dream house, complete with a private guest suite designed to share our lifestyle with kindred spirits.
Our carefully crafted space offers all the amenities we cherish, allowing our guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and rich history of St. Augustine. Whether you're an avid hiker like us or simply seeking a tranquil retreat, our location provides the perfect base for exploring beautiful St. Augustine in this captivating corner of Florida.

We encourage you to leave your car in your private parking space and immerse yourselves in the charm of our island neighborhood by bike or St. Augustine on foot. Whether strolling through cobblestone streets, pedaling along scenic paths, hopping aboard a tour boat, or taking a quaint trolley, visitors quickly fall under the spell of our enchanting town. Unlike other historic cities, St. Augustine has preserved its quaint charm. Here you will not find any high-rise buildings, condos or hotels. After just a few days of this idyllic lifestyle, many find themselves reluctant to leave – and some never do!
As one of Florida's original tourist destinations, St. Augustine has always celebrated its natural splendor. Following in the footsteps of Henry Flagler, who created breathtaking courtyard gardens as a paradise within paradise, we've meticulously transformed our double lot into a lush, subtropical oasis. Here, nestled within the Ancient City, our guests experience the magic of our totally private verdant jungle retreat, complete with private swimming pool, spa, koi pond and food forest. Our property perfectly captures the luxurious lifestyle of a Florida vacation amidst the rich history and beauty of St. Augustine.
