Nice place to stay

Our family spent 6 nights in the condo. It was clean and comfortable. Kitchen had plenty of plates, cups and cookware. Our only suggestion would be to put mats at the doors for the sand that gets carried in. We swept daily since we had a little one crawling around.

Probably wouldn't stay here again.

The condo was not very clean and the kitchen was not very well stocked. For a condo that is advertised as able to accommodate 8 people there were about 4 towels and no wash clothes. The pools and the beach were very nice. The check in staff was very rude.

2 things! 1 there was a rug over busted tile. Looks like it would be fixed before anyone stayed there being it seems like water damage And this is very very high up.

Nice condo

The overall trip was good. The condo was nice and in a good location. Disappointed in the rental company as we notified on day 1 that the TVs in the Master and Guest Room were not working and there was not shower curtain in the guest bathroom. No one ever showed up to look at the TVs and we never received a shower curtain. I called all 4 days we were there.

Million Dollar View but...

This property has a million dollar view, excellent amenities and decorated beautifully. The only issues were the grinding, squeaky ceiling fan in the small bedroom, uncomfortable beds, no cable in master bedroom, remotes without batteries and some lights needing light bulbs. I read past reviews with the same complaints and contacted the property management group where I was told the previous complaints of these very things had been resolved. That was in no way the truth. This is an excellent property, but just needs a little attention. I will not book from this property management company again for being dishonest.

Hi Michele, The maintenance staff have been hard at work this winter fixing these very things in units. The task may seem minor,but can really put a damper on your stay that is always over way too quickly. The beds are of course owner preference as far as comfort we found no damage or excessive wear on the mattress'. The ceiling fan, and cable issue resolved the batteries are in and always text or call 24/7 we can take care of you.

Awful

The room was awful.. Ceilings can didn’t work. Balcony door opened but would not close, ac didn’t function properly. Bathtub didn’t wouldn’t drain the water. Mold growing air conditioning vents. Faucets in bathroom broken, couldn’t even turn the cold water on. The person i was i contact with about the issue didn’t seem to care at all.

Short vacation

We decided on a last minute short vacation. Splash is a very nice complex. Very large complex also. Normally when we stay in a condo there are note explaining things like the TV’s/cable service or if there was a problem with anything. Nothing here. There seemed to be a problem with the dryer. It kept stopping with a message to clean lint basket. A TV guide for the cable service would have been nice. We found the NBC channel but never found any of the other except channels that did not matter to us. I realize these are not major problems but they were problems to us. The beach was extremely crowded which you can’t do anything about. We did have a good time and would consider a return visit maybe another time of year,

Will not rent from panhandle getaways again.

The condo is roomy and allows for privacy. It had a nice view, however, there are several things you need to be made aware of before renting this condo. Parking is on the other side of the road with no front door access for unloading your luggage. You have to unload in the parking garage across the street and push your luggage cart across a crosswalk to your condo. There are no grocery carts, only luggage carts. The minimum temperature on the thermostat is set to 69 degrees with no way of changing it. We had the thermostat set on 69 degrees the entire stay, and the back side of the condo never seemed to cool. Thankfully, the max temperature outside during our stay was 76 degrees. I can’t imagine what it would be like during the heat of the summer. The fan in the master bedroom did work well to cool the room, however, we had to contend with a constant loud clicking noise and were unable to use it at night due to the noise. The dryer would run <10minutes at a time when it would stop and signal that the lint filter needed to be cleaned. This was the same issue that was reported in June. The coffee maker leaked and could not be used. The photos are out of date. The balcony pictured 4 chairs around a table and two rattan chairs. There were only the two rattan chairs (with no cushion) and a round table with 1 stool. Thankfully, it was only my daughter and I staying at this moment. The kitchen was not stocked well. There shower wasn’t cleaned well at all, with a wad of hair being left in the drain. The master toilet also ran constantly. We did attempt to contact Panhandle Getaways regarding the dryer and air conditioner on check in day. We Didnt hear back from maintanence until after we contacted them a second time the next day. They did not reach out til late that evening and it was only regarding the air conditioner. We never heard from anyone regarding the dryer. The nightly rate for this unit suggests that the unit is upscale. In actuality this unit is only mediocre. If you do not have children accompanying you, I would recommend another condominium.

Room needs updates

The beds are very uncomfortable and there was not a comforter on one bed, only a sheet. The kitchen needs more appliances and is not set up for cooking. The fans make an awful noise and can not be used due to the constant grinding sound. The remotes to the main living room TV would not work majority of the time. The room needs some overall updating. Wish we had chosen another room for our trip.

Everything we needed

We loved it!

Very nice resort with all condos beachfront! Very nice to have such a short walk to the beach! Especially with 3 kids! The mini waterpark is nice too especially on the rainy days!

The unit was nice

Splash itself needs to do some revamping.... the 45 min wait for elevators are awful.. the property is a little worn/run down... for the prices they are charging I expected a lot more. The beach is so overtaken by the beach service chairs there was hardly no room to take your own personal stuff down w/out walking forever. Overall we did enjoy our week but probably will book elsewhere next year.

Very clean and the beds are comfortable!

This unit was awesome! You could tell the owners really take care of it. The only down side was the ice maker in the freezer did not work. You can buy a 10 lb. bag of ice at the resort though. (From what others were saying, almost every ice maker in the building wasn't working so maybe they do it on purpose so you have to buy ice) ha! But I would definitely stay at this property again it was by far one of the nicest condos.

A Great Stay!

This could do was great for our group. Tkhe only thing I could see better is there were not enough pots, pans, and skillets for our cooking needs. There was no small sample of dish soap to get us started. We loved the facilities and how clean they kept it. We also liked the fact that security was around at all times. We were disappointed that one of the kids pools was closed often. I will recommend this resort to my friends and family. Thanks so much.

Perfect Family Vacation!

My husband, 4 kids and I had a fabulous week at the Splash Resort! We were on the 21st floor! Enjoyed the views, the weather and loved the sound of the ocean each night! It was perfect with the 4 kids. The pools, beach, activities, everything! One of our favorite vacations! Will definitely recommend for friends and family and be back ourselves!

Beautiful View!

We recently stayed at Splash for one week. I will say that the check-in process is a difficult one. This has no bearing on the condo/owner but, the management of the property. Upon our arrival we had to wait over an hour to secure a cart to move our luggage from our vehicle. Your drivers license is required to borrow a cart. Then, we waited in line at the elevator for an hour and a half just to get to the condo. after all that was said and done.....the condo is spectacular! The view from our 21st floor balcony was fabulous. The condo is very well stocked and very well decorated. The kids loved the bunks!! The beds were very comfortable. The pictures are exactly whet the condo is like. Compared to other condos we have stayed at, this condo was very quiet. Keyless entry was wonderful!!! Wifi was a little spotty but, nothing major. On Tuesday of our 1 week stay we lost water and elevator for about 6 hours. Terrible climbing 21 flights of stairs with small children!! Nothing the property owner could have done so we didn't bother to report it. Property management definitely needs to step up their game. If you plan on checking in on a Saturday at 4:00 be prepared to wait. I suggest stopping to eat before you decide to check in and maybe the mad rush for carts and elevators will die down. We had a great time regardless. I would recommend this condo if you want peace and quiet and a beautiful view!!
