Condominium resort Aston at the Waikiki Banyan upholds a long history as a favorite place to stay among locals and visitors alike. Located just one block away from the excitement of Kalakaua Avenue, it’s close to shopping and restaurants but slightly removed to the quieter side of Waikiki. We luv staying at the Banyan, and will always stay here. The Banyan needs more cleaning though, but we will always stay here.☀️

Had to check different rooms before we found one that was decent. Staff was spectacular. Owned by multiple companies and people. Other than that it was a wonderful stay in paradise

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This vacation rental was very outdated and dingy; our room also did not seem clean. The hot tubs were very small and typically filled with kids. The positives were the friendly front desk staff who were responsive and courteous.

The plumbing was not the best. The toilet clogged and we called for a plumbing. The toilet has no pressure when flushing. We were there for 7 days and housekeeping only came once. Furniture is outdated. He noticed roaches.

The property was not like it’s photos online. The property was extremely outdated; limited electrical outlets; we didn’t even find the outlet in the bathroom area until the day before we left-it was hidden behind towels and in a cubby. Burned out light bulb in the bathroom. Lining of the drapes were ripped/worn to ‘see through’ status. Hot tubs were very small and often filled with small children, leaving little room for others. Limited cookware (no pizza pan, pizza cutter, or fry pan). Appreciated the willingness of front desk staff to store our luggage until we left. Overall, very disappointed and feeling like we were ‘sold’ one thing based on online photos, and received something totally different (and worse). I would give it a 1.5 star rating.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As much as we were not after a 5 star resort experience, we were a little disappointed in our room. The blinds in the bedroom were broken and we were not comfortable changing in the room. The furniture was well-worn, some of the cabinets were lopsided and needed help closing and the small dresser under the bedroom tv looked like someone had punched a hole in it. The curtains were discolored and looked almost rusted at parts. The water temperature could not maintain itself and if you weren't showering in cold water, the scalding hot water would suddenly take over and burn you, then disappear back to cold water. The staff were friendly and helpful, but we were roomed right next to the trash chute which at one point made the hallway by our door smell a little like a landfill. The lobby was beautiful and the store and coffee shop were great. The elevator situation left much to be desired, and we preferred to sleep on the pull out couch bed over the actual bed, which felt like sleeping on concrete.

To pay for a week to stay there ad on at least another $350 to cover parking and resort fees. You are in downtown Waikiki two blocks from the ocean and in walking distance to all the foods you want to get. Because you were in downtown you hear sirens and lots of vehicles all day and all night. The elevators kept breaking down sometimes you had to wait 10 minutes for an elevator. These inconveniences were not too important to me for paying the cheaper price.
