Charming, Comfy Cabin on the San Marcos River!

Stay the night in a brand new, insulated and air-conditioned, one-of-a-kind Luxury Glamping Cabin! Our Luxury Glamping Cabins are fully furnished and have everything you need to stay comfortable including foam mattress beds, linens and towels, kitchenette, comfortable outdoor furniture, hammock, firepit and more! If you want to enjoy the great Texas outdoors without the setup and hassle of tent camping, while having all the creature comforts of home, our Luxury Glamping Cabins are for you!



With a Luxury Glamping Cabin rental, you and your guests will enjoy the beautiful scenery and peacefulness of Son’s River Ranch which sits on the gorgeous San Marcos River with its blue spring water and majestic tree studded banks. Sit ‘round the campfire at night and gaze at the big, bright, Texas starry sky! We are surrounded by large ranches which makes for a great outdoor get away from it all experience!



There are 24 Luxury Glamping Cabins in total, each cabin is identical and come with

2 queen sized beds with comfortable foam mattresses. They also feature a kitchenette with mini fridge, coffee maker, hot plate, and blender. We do not provide silverware and dinnerware, so be sure to bring these but we do provide linens and towels. For inside entertainment and relaxation, Guests will find a TV & DVD player.



Outdoor amenities include: comfortable wicker seating, hammock, fire-pit, BBQ pit, picnic table, outdoor lighting, water and electricity.



There are two 5-unit bathroom trailers by our glamping cabins, that’s 10 full bathrooms in total with hot water showers, for your use. Each bathroom is a bathroom unto itself and is lockable.



While at Son’s River Ranch, guests can add a riverside cabana or covered picnic table for the day to their reservation or evening and go tubing, kayaking or fishing! Hang out at the river, lay in a hammock, tube, kayak, BBQ, play beach volleyball, swim, fish, roast marshmallows under the stars and more! Son's River Ranch has it all!



Son's Blue River Camp is 2 miles downriver and is our tubing/kayaking take out location. During the warmer months we have shuttle vans and buses shuttling guests between the two properties so they enjoy a nice float down the beautiful San Marcos River! The trip takes around 2 hours to tube and is very enjoyable!

Great place, except for...

Great place and we may even consider returning, BUT there were 2 issues... 1. In the early morning hours (after 1am-ish) we suddenly had multiple mice running through our "glamping tent!" They wouldn't stop scurring and we couldn't get rid of them. This made it difficult to sleep, to say the least. 2. In the morning, we had to hit the road early and there was no hot water. It made for a brisk shower experience with temps outside under 60.

I was born and raised in this area and grew up floating the river, going to the nearby lakes, catching concerts at Gruene Hall and White Water Amphitheater. There are plenty of exciting attractions including Schlitterbahn and many other fun activities in this area!



I love going out to eat and trying new places with my Husband Jesse. I can recommend places to eat and exciting, fun places to visit. My main focus is to make sure your cabin is clean and your stay with us is comfortable and convenient! Please let us know if you need anything.

Son's River Ranch is located on the gorgeous and family friendly San Marcos River near Fentress, TX! This part of the river is ideal for tubing as there are no dangerous dams or rapids and the river flows at a nice pace allowing you to float with little to no paddling!



This section of the river is also ideal for families. You won't find the college scene here. Instead, floaters will find a beautiful blue river, outlined with majestic cypress and pecan trees which creates a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable float. And since the San Marcos River is spring-fed, the river flows nice all summer long and doesn't dry up or slow down like the Guadalupe and Frio Rivers often do.



Son's Blue River Camp is located 2 miles downriver and is our tubing/kayaking take out. We have shuttles that run between the 2 properties every day in the summer, on most weekends in the spring and fall and by reservation in the winter. Tubing and kayaking is a must if you come to Son's River Ranch!

The fishing is excellent! You will routinely see Fly Fishing Guides guide trips from Fentress to our takeout location. Anglers catch small mouth, large mouth, sunporch, catfish and more!



We have some of the best BBQ in the state in the local town nearby. Be sure to try City Market in Luling and Smitty's in Lockhart when you come! It's finger-licking good!



We are surrounded by large farms and ranches. It’s peaceful and relaxing and the stars shine bright at night! There is so much fun to be had and things to do on the San Marcos River at Son’s Blue River Camp!
