We loved staying at the cabin with our dogs, a puppy and an older dog. The property is fenced in so we felt safe playing with them in the autumn leaves. The kitchen was also extremely comfortable to cook in, and the hosts were welcoming and communicative (and very sweet about our dogs!)

My Family Loved This Place

Great getaway

The cottage was perfect for a low key weekend away. It may not be fancy but it has everything you need. The surrounding area was beautiful for walking or a drive around.

A Peaceful streamside Paradise in the Catskills

Rustic mountain look on the outside with meticulous design on the inside. Spacious outside deck looking over the rushing stream as bald eagles fly overhead. Lots of privacy for your family or friends. Highly recommend Peace Cottage for your vacation.

Nice stay

Stayed here with 3 friends for a quick overnight. Host was great and very responsive before our stay and you could tell they truly wanted us to have a nice stay. Peace cottage was a perfect place for our one night trip to Woodstock.

Peace cottage stay

My partner and I came up to escape Brooklyn for a bit and had a wonderful stay. We would have loved to have a grill in good condition and there’s a few holes in the chicken wire fence that could easily be mended for a better experience with dogs, but otherwise we really enjoyed the house and the sound of the stream is lovely and healing.

Willow Stay

Perfect weekend getaway! The location was perfect, the house clean and cute. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout! We had a great time playing the board games and just hanging in the yard and by the stream. Would definitely come back!

Great cottage for a relaxing getaway

The Peace Cottage was a great place to stay for a relaxing long weekend. The large fenced yard was perfect for our dog, and we all enjoyed hanging out by/in the stream. Easy drive into Woodstock or Phoenicia for eating out, but the kitchen was also well equipped for the few meals we made at the house. Nice location to explore area trails and state parks. We really enjoyed our stay--thank you to the hosts for sharing this cottage!

Adorable place

We had a lovely time with our family at this lovely place. There was enough space for all five of us inside, and we also really enjoyed the grill, the fire pit and the the kids loved running around by the stream even though it was starting to get cold. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

My sister came up from Florida to visit me in PA and I thought it would be nice to head to the mountains in NY for a short getaway. We absolutely loved the Peace Cottage from the moment we pulled into the driveway. Just a perfect oasis for our little trip! Will definitely return!

Peaceful stay at Peace Cottage!

I came for the weekend with a friend and we had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful and the house is lovely. It is clean and comfortable. Nidhi and John were very responsive and helpful. The location is great, not too far from anything but remote enough that it is quiet and the stars can be seen on full display. I hope to be back again soon!

Lovely place with beautiful creek

Peace Cottage was super cute and welcoming, a wonderful place to make memories. The highlights were eating on the deck and wading in the gorgeous creek every day. Some amenities and appliances were a little worn so if you're planning on doing a lot of cooking at home it might be a good idea to bring some of your own things but we were able to get by fine, and there's plenty of great restaurants in the surrounding towns. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely lives up to its name

I can’t say enough good things about peace cottage. It was exactly what we needed for a short ski getaway in a beautiful location. The home is a very funky and fun and eclectically decorated peaceful and cozy place to spend a night or a couple nights. Excellent communication from the owner and very well stocked with everything you would need super happy with this place. You can tell the owner put tons of thought into this home and it shows. Absolutely would come back again.

The property is lovely and it is very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage itself wasn’t as clean or well stocked as I expected given the listing. No cooking oil, no pan that fits in the toaster oven, kitchen soap smelled super strongly of chemicals, mold on the shower curtain, the outdoor seating has seen better days. There’s a difference between rustic and run down and this place was leaning towards the later. The host was very quick to respond to our needs and very accommodating and friendly. Overall we had a good experience but wouldn’t stay here again.

Peace Cottage is the perfect name!

Not fancy shmancy, no carefully manicured landscaping like in suburbia, BUT exactly what the name implies - a peaceful retreat and that was exactly what I was looking for. The peace cottage has a beautiful vibe inside and out. This adorable little cottage is filled with loving energy and it is the perfect place to decompress and unwind. A true hidden gem.
