## Emplacement
Located in northern France, along the English Channel, the seaside resort of Le Touquet was created in the 19th century. It has been a fashionable holiday mecca since the interwar period, with sumptuous villas built in the pine and birch forest planted to the east of the town. Along Le Touquet's long sandy beach, to the west of the town, you'll find hotels, restaurants and a casino. Le Touquet's main beach isn't just for swimming! Sand yachting is the local sport. The large sandy beach allows you to take full advantage of the English Channel in the midst of wilderness and dunes. There's also a thalassotherapy center on the seafront (to the south), ideal for a relaxing end to the day.
