With rumors of an ancient volcano across the field and a nourished river in the back yard, this cozy country home cultivates the perfect destination to escape the city limits while still being in biking distance to local festivities. Located just outside of Carbondale, there are many opportunities to indulge with neighboring cities such as Aspen, Redstone, Marble, and Glenwood Springs.
The Outside patio comes with everything you need to wine and dine. Smoke it on the Traeger and/or sear it on the BBQ grill; we provide all the necessary equipment. The full patio table and river front view provides the perfect atmosphere for a wholesome cookout.
The Kitchen is well laid out with everything you need to prepare your favorite meals on our five-burner gas stove and full range kitchen. We have all the necessities with the addition of a coffee grinder, cappuccino maker, KitchenAid mixer, slicers & dicer's, popcorn popper, Creme Brulee kit, cookie cutters, presses & decorator kits, salad spinner, veggie steamer and more. We will provide a bag of local coffee as appreciation but recommend bringing more for the early risers
The Dining Room seats eight comfortably and there’s plenty of extra serving area with the pass-through countertop and bar.
The Family Room features a wood burning fireplace, LED Smart TV with Bose sound system, and selections of classic DVD's and VCR's. A Large couch and two recliner's are next to French doors that lead outside to overlook the Crystal River.
The Master Bedroom includes a wood burning stove, king-size bed, walk-in closet, sitting area, desk, and exercise bike. Wake up in the morning to a spectacular view of majestic Mt. Sopris.
Bedroom One has a queen-sized bed and Smart TV. You can hear the river just outside your bedroom.
Bedroom Two has a queen-size bed, dressers, and walk-in closet. This room also has a Smart TV. and a wonderful view of Mt. Sopris.
Mater Bath has a jetted tub and SPA kit for rejuvenating evenings, separate shower, Bluetooth speaker, makeup mirror, and lots of natural light through the window displaying surrounding mountains and riverside.
Bathroom Two has double sink’s and a shower.
Two Car Garage fits one sedan and one full size vehicle. Inside the garage are some activities for hanging outside including baseball mitts, football, cornhole and bikes for riding the bike trail into town.
***There is a chair-lift for handicapped access to the second floor.
Winter Activities
If interested in skiing and snowboarding there are a total of five mountains in reasonable distance, four of the five consisting of world class terrain: Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass, and Buttermilk. Sunlight Ski Area is a smaller mountain that is less expensive and perfect for those not in search of expert terrain.
X-Games in January is a big attraction and the bus system from Carbondale is a great strategy for acquiring the X-Games experience and while still having the options of reaching tranquility at the end of the night.
Snowmobile, Snowshoe, or just relax at your choice of three different nearby hot springs.
Summer Activities
The bike path to town is just across the bridge. It is a four-mile ride to the heart of downtown Carbondale, or you can travel south towards Redstone if a longer ride is desired. The trail traces the river both ways.
Wildlife including elk, deer, owls, and eagles to be seen from the patio. Binoculars are provided so you can get a close-up look at what Colorado is made of.
Fish out the backdoor on the Crystal River or head to the Frying Pan and Roaring Fork to experience some of the best trout fishing the world has to offer. Golf, Hike, Raft, Horse Back ride, Mountain Bike, and more.
