The location of the house was good, but a little deceiving , in the picture is shows that you can see the ocean from the house but all you see do you want me to eat is a fences in one side and the street on the other but it was a minute walk to either the beach or the bay .The garage didn’t Accommodate a full size vehicle . It was difficult to get any parking. Unless you want to pay 40 a night and the rental place really didn’t give you any options of what you can do. It also seems that they an ant problem. Couldn’t leave any type of food in the counters. when we return it was full of ants. We did enjoy the bicycles, umbrellas and Boogie board that provided and take to the beach. They also had plenty of dishes , cups and glasses for us to use. But unfortunately they didn’t have a dishwasher.. the AC on the unit was very good. So we were able to cool down the rooms fairly fast. Overall, it wasn’t OK experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the convenient location, beach amenities, and air conditioning during your stay. We understand that parking can be challenging when a vehicle doesn't fit in the garage. The parking details are provided in our listing, and we did our best to offer an alternative option when we learned your vehicle wouldn't fit. Regarding the ants, we’re sorry to hear about this concern. We weren't made aware of the issue during your stay, but we would have been happy to look into it had we known. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify areas where we can improve the guest experience.

Great place to stay, centrally located in Mission Beach. 4 min to the beach, 4 min to the bay, lots of walking trails. Would highly recommend, for whatever that’s worth from a stranger.

ONLY STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN MAID! We were charged another 50 cleaning fee because we didn't clean the floors! We did leave some food in frig, for housekeepers, wasteful to throw away. Also web site shows picture of big garage, and states there is room for a big vehicle. I confirmed this over phone prior to rental. In fact, not so.

We’re sorry to hear you felt this way, but we do want to clarify a few points for accuracy. We did not ask you to clean the floors; however, the condition they were left in went beyond what is considered reasonable after a stay. While most of our guests leave the home in good shape, there are occasional exceptions, and unfortunately this was one of those cases. The additional cleaning fee reflects the extra work required to restore the space for the next guests. Regarding the garage, the information is in our listing, we recommend to all our guests to review and read the description for a clear understanding of the space. We’ve not received prior complaints about this or about the sidewalks, which are maintained by the city. We strive to provide a positive experience for all guests and maintain a high standard for the property, and we stand by the decision in this case.

Convenient location, great time in San Diego!

This is a great townhouse one block from Mission Beach and just a short drive to all the major attractions. There were a few good dining options within walking distance. The Interior is a bit dated but the listing description was accurate from photos. The condo was stocked with a good amount of supplies. Overall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting San Diego again!

Location! Location! Location!

The property is a great location. Easy walk to beach or bay - and near shopping and restaurants. My single complaint is the stained carpet and overall lack of tlc given to the house. I understand because of where the house is located people will rent it without any updates, but it is just kind of a bummer.

Close to beach and commerces

This is definitely a lively area, even more so on weekend days. I wasn’t familiar with the mission bay atmosphere and was expecting it to be more like La Jolla. The beach is great, long and unobstructed. Great restaurants. You can walk to just about Everything you need for a few days Patio is lively and great for outdoor meals. It is downstairs from the kitchen. Interior definitely older, but accurate from photos. Nancy’s mgt company was awesome. Super quick response time to the minor issue we had.

Great size & location

Pros: location (4 minute walk to the beach), space (3 bedrooms plus a sleeper sofa and there was a bunk bed and another twin in one room), dog friendly, newer flooring, great water pressure. My 2020 Ford Expedition did fit with about two inches to spare front and back and we had to pull forward to use the washer and dryer. We did have to park our second vehicle elsewhere. Nice beach chairs, boogie boards, toys and bikes to borrow. Cons: being so close to Mission Blvd you do hear traffic, no AC, no dishwasher, very little area for the dog to potty, kitchen needs remodeling but functional. Fans were provided but box fans would be a better choice. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

We will be as generous as we can. This property is basically a flophouse for people who wish to stay out all night and drink so they can sleep thru the all-day-and-all-night street noise, landscapers at 6:30 am, trash trucks at 7am, motorcycles showing off, emergency vehicles helping drunks at 2 am, etc., all the while reading the property managers notes about tenants not making noise! You prohibit loud talking and singing but the only way to hold a conversation over the outside noise is to raise one’s voice. There were no dish towels upon arrival( later supplied) so it’s clear there is no expectation that tenants will cook food so need to wash dishes. There is no AC so we opened the windows(screens broken but fixed at our request) for air circulation letting in even more street noise. The house is small and old: opening screeching wooden drawers that woke up the dead, and the awkward floor plan but the beds were comfortable. It’s not really a good choice for family and folks over the age of 35, especially for seniors like us. This is such a shame because the location is excellent.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience. We weren’t made aware of any issues during your stay, so we weren’t able to assist you in real time. As noted in our listing, street noise, trash collection, and neighborhood activity are part of the area’s character. We do provide dish towels and our team supplied them when you informed us. Additionally, air conditioning is available for rent during your stay, which is listed in the property description. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to make future stays as comfortable as possible.

Great home, great location

We loved our stay in this home. The home could use a few upgrades. There is no garbage disposal, no dishwasher and the carpet is worn. They are minor things that aren't a huge deal. The home was comfortable, beds were nice, and it was clean. There were also beach toys, chairs and bikes in the garage (we couldn't use them because of weather but they seemed to be in working order). The washer and dryer were nice to have and were very clean. As mentioned in the description, garage parking room is limited. We were upgraded by the rental agency to a Toyota 4runner. It fit parked at an angle. It worked for us but space is something to be mindful of if travelling with a bigger group or 2 cars. Even in January, Street parking was limited. The communication with Nancy's vacation rental was great. They were responsive and checked in with us to make sure there were no problems. They allowed us an early check in which was so appreciated. Every communication I had with them was very professional and they were very kind. Location is fantastic. The home is just off of the bay and is walking distance to Mission Beach and Belmont park or Pacific Beach. Many walkable food options and a grocery store. Short drive to sea world, San Diego Zoo and other area beaches. I would happily stay in this home again and will look for other listings from Nancy's vacation rentals for my future San Diego trips.

Our stay at Rockaway

It's a great spot. All was fine. We loved the yard and the pet friendlyness. Garage was great we fit an Equinox and a Mini Cooper in it. It's a bit crowded with the amount of furniture. Could probably pull some pieces and rearrange for more space. Also it's quite outdated and no dish washer. Everything was fine but the carpet really needs to go. I was expecting tile or laminate and the carpet was everywhere and very worn and stained etc. Nothing was bad just could use some love and updating. We still had a nice stay here with our family. Close to everything and many great things like the bikes came in handy! All in all a good stay.
