Welcome to Southernmost Inn on Pine Island! Come and enjoy a relaxing stay on the water in our "Rod Studio" that sleeps 2.

We are located in St. James City and offer a studio with a queen bed, sitting area, and kitchen. The bathroom has a walk-in shower for easy in and out.

There is a full kitchen with everything you need to enjoy making your own meals. There is a refrigerator, oven/stove, and microwave. If you don't feel like cooking, you can walk right next door to The Waterfront restaurant. There are also many other restaurants in the area.

Great view! You can sit and sip your coffee and enjoy the water view while sitting in the screened lanai. You will see many forms of Florida wildlife!

As we are located on Henley Canal, we have easy boat access to the water and are just a 15-minute boat ride away from Sanibel Island!

The Southernmost Inn

My wife and my self had a wonderful experience staying in the Rod studio. It was very clean, A restaurant right next door. The shrimp and scallop pot pie was amazing. The views from the canal that is right out side the door are truly beautiful. Being so close to the water is one of the reasons we picked this place. My wife and i are definitely making plans to stay there again.

Nice spot to fish

The studio is nice, great location, good space for couple , but lack privacy in the patio due to a restaurant next door and it is kind of noisy daytime.

Thanks for the feedback. As you can imagine, there was a great deal of damage to the property due to Hurricane Ian. There used to be a fence between our property and the restaurant but it got destroyed in the hurricane. The restaurant needed the space to access the side of their property to make their repairs. The city took a long time to give them their permits so they only recently reopened. We plan to rebuild the fence and will be doing so soon. Thanks for staying with us and we hope to see you again. Hidden Gem with a Most Excellent Host!

If you’re looking for a nice clean spacious place in a beautiful area with a wonderful host, look no further!!! This place is definitely a gem!! We were able to put our SUV and trailer in the drive, and tie our boat right to the dock in the canal. It was so tranquil here and made for such a nice getaway! 10/10 Thank you Louise!

Non inviting and deceptive

Would not recommend based on property advertising said beach is 15 minutes by boat nothing about drive by car of you don't have a boatInside stuido veto plain and not inviting especially when told it was for a honeymoon looking at a full dumpers at your door

Linda, I am sorry your stay was disappointing. I did reach out to you today, but your voicemail was not set up, and you did not respond to my texts. You stated that the listing did not mention a drive to the beach. However, it very clearly states the distances in driving time to several beaches. They are listed a short distance down under the pictures of the unit, right beside the map of the area. In addition, this information is listed again when you click on "see all about this area", which is directly under this first list of beaches. As for the inside of the unit, I am sorry it did not fit your taste. We have the Inn decorated in a style that all of our guests have appreciated since before our rebuild following Hurricane Ian. As I stated in my text, I would love to have you return in the future. I would offer you a discounted rate in one of our larger rooms so you can have a different experience. Contact me anytime. Quaint town and quaint cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a perfect getaway. Loved the setting, the town and surrounding areas. We met the handyman, Neil. He was so helpful and lots of local info to share. A bonus!! Only negative was the mattress as perhaps may need replacing as very soft. Otherwise, the remodel worked for us. Simple but functional.

The studio was spotless and had everything needed for a very comfortable stay

I had my coffee sitting on the canal in Adirondack chairs watching the fishing boats go by. So relaxing I loved being at the very end of the island and a restaurant is right next door

What a great spot

Our first time on Pine Island - Reminds me of old Florida. Conveniently located next to a restaurant. Quiet, at the end of the island. The room's amenities were perfect for us and I loved being right on the water.

Love it!

Thank you so much for making this such an easy process. The room was beautiful and outside was beautiful. The room was so clean, smelled so nice, and had just the right amount of anything you need for a stay. Thank you for taking such good care of my stay. I was there for a funeral and the property manager made everything so easy for me. So much nicer than the pictures show. Thank you!

Studio in St James City

This studio was a great choice for my husband and I. It’s right on the canal and has great outdoor spaces with a covered lanai, open porch, dock, and a place to grill out. Inside was clean, nicely decorated and just big enough for two. We would definitely stay here again.

Great staycation

My husband and I enjoyed our staycation at this property! Very quiet, good food in the area. We got massages with Pamela McCarty and she was great! Our room was clean and we enjoyed the back patio and being on the water!
