Affordable quick stay
Positives with Unit
⁃ Location. Close to a lot of restaurants, and shopping. Not a far walk to beach front and outdoor pools. Right across street from adventure island.
⁃ First floor. No stairs or elevator needed.
⁃ Parking was plentiful
⁃ AC in the unit was really good and chilled the unit
⁃ Clean refrigerator and the fridge did a good job keeping things cold
⁃ Comfortable mattress in bedroom & couch in living room
⁃ Water in shower was hot and never ran out of hot water
⁃ Washer/Dryer was small but effective! Clothes came out clean and dry every time!
⁃ No bugs!
Issues with Unit
⁃ The shower head is really short in the shower. Both of us are approximately 6ft tall and had to squat down a little bit just to have the water hit the top of our heads.
⁃ The toilet was off balance and rocked every time you sat on it. It also took a long time to fill with water after each flush.
⁃ Both the TV in the living room & the TV in the bedroom had a Dish tv cable box plugged up to them, but never could get a signal to watch TV, even unplugged both of them and had them rescan for channels and no luck
⁃ The bedroom was small, and occasionally there would be sounds of a consistent knocking on one of the walls in the bedroom. My guess is the sound had something to do with the plumbing for one of the units above.
⁃ The AC was really good and cooled the unit down, but the AC fan is also in a closet inside the bedroom so it made for a noisy room to sleep inside.
⁃ In the bedroom there is a fan/light fixture and the room has (2) switches. We assumed (1) would be for the fan and the other would be for the light but nothing really happened until we stood up on the bed and reached up to the fixture and started pulling the chains on the fixture which then activated the light and fan.
⁃ Upon check in, I am not sure the kitchen was fully cleaned, there were coffee stains on some of the white cabinets that were easily wiped off, and there were several pans/pots below the stove that looked like they were not cleaned either.
⁃ There was a clock in the kitchen right above the sink that hadn’t been turned forward an hour in observance of daylight savings time. Had to take clock off the wall and move it forward one hour, not a major inconvenience but still something that should have been done prior to our arrival.
⁃ Red coffee mug in the kitchen was cracked, and leaked coffee every time it was filled.
