VIEWS OF BEACH AND THE BAY FROM THE ROOFTOP DECK!!

Destin West is a unique Beach and Bay Resort with the best amenities in the Destin area. Terrific location with Skywalk access to the Gulfside facility and Boardwalk. There you'll find the best dining and shopping, fishing pier and the Gulfarium. Jet skis, parasailing, boat rentals, next door, within easy walking distance!

This 7th floor Penthouse unit is elegantly furnished with 2 private balconies one of which is a rooftop balcony and both furnished with patio furniture for dining or lounging.

The approximately 1300 sq.ft. unit has 3 bedrooms (1 bunk room), all with tv's and 2 full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and Wireless internet service included!

Last minute rentals accommodated, keypad lock on unit, everything done online!

The 3 pools, enclosed by a lazy river with access to the bay where you can fish, swim or anchor your boat. The pool area is wheelchair accessible with bathrooms and elevator. Beach and additional Destin West pools just across the street on Beach side easily accessed by pedestrian sky bridge. This condo does not come with access to fitness center.

Great place and easy access to lazy river

Place was very nice, beds were comfortable. We were there for a charity music festival at Rick's which was very convenient. Would love to rebook for next year!

Great location but lacking in cleanliness

The facilities and location are amazing. Pools, lazy river, hot tub, beach made it an awesome vacation. Highly disappointed with cleanliness - master shower had a large amount of hair over the drain and our feet were constantly dirty from walking barefoot in the unit. Dishwasher leaked but I believe they may have fixed it.

Excellent Experience

We loved the penthouse! It was very clean and as advertised in the listing. The pools and lazy river were so much fun. We enjoyed the beach as well. Check in was easy. The host was friendly and accommodating. We really didn't need much, as they already had everything set up and ready to go. We highly recommend staying here. We will return!

The view was amazing, the condo was clean, but the beds were so bad. There were big dips on each side of every bed, the mattresses are long overdue to be replaced. Other than the beds the place was awesome.

We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at the condo. The views, lazy river, pools, and beach access are amazing. The condo itself is great. Lots of space, very clean and comfortable. The only minor issue we had was the lounge chairs on the roof in the pics were not there so we couldn't lay out on the rooftop deck, and the washer/dryer in the unit is LOUD and barely works. It took a couple of noisy hours to dry two beach towels. Overall, the place is great and we had the best time. Would not hesitate to book again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had such a wonderful time! The condo was perfect for our family. Loved the rooftop balcony and the location was good. A little bit of a walk to the beach but we had no problems.. we love Fort Walton Beach... in the middle of everything but not crowded up! We are planning our return trip this spring!

Communication and information during the process was good. Check-in was easy. However, access to the gym and beach was not very convenient. It was quite a hike to get to either. Also, the washer was broken in our condo. I text the maintenance contact but never received a response. The beds are very springy and not very comfortable.

Darin, thank you for your review. We received a message from you on the day of checkout that the washer was not working properly, but ran it twice on the same day and found no issues. We would have been happy to come sooner had we known. The beach side/gym is about a 7 minute walk across using the pedestrian bridge. You may want to consider a beachside condo at Destin West next time if you felt it was too much. We do hope that despite this issue, you had a great visit and will come back to stay again soon.

Felt dingy, random dishes and not enough dinnerware or glasses to even accommodate more than 5 people. Had to buy paper plates and bowls and plastic ware and cups.One roll of toilet paper and paper towels. No dishwasher soap or dish soap to clean up.Very few towels and furniture was dingy and smelled.Did not feelLike a beachside vacation rental at all. Feels old and random furniture. Not a beachy feel or cheery environmental.

Great resort for family

The location of Destin West resort is awesome! Pool and beach access were easy with a couple kids and a wagon to tow all our stuff. Easy walk to Gulfarium, the Boardwalk shoppes and restaurants, Wild Willys and more. This specific unit is probably better for those with older kids or none at all because it's on the 7th floor. 2nd floor units had easy walking access to pool which would have been great with the littles. This unit lacked the essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. We had to purchase all that when we arrived. Check-in was easy and stay was great. Note, only the main pool (in the middle of the lazy river) and the hot tubs are heated. The lazy river and pool located beachside are NOT heated.

We had a great time with family and friends

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo overall! The location was fantastic, and the rooftop access was a highlight—perfect for watching fireworks all around the bay and gulf on the 4th of July. Destin West is always a favorite of ours with the lazy river, multiple pools, and easy beach access, which really made our trip fun for the whole family.That said, there were a few things that could be improved. The floors in the condo were quite dirty, leaving our feet black if we didn't wear shoes or sandals inside. The mattresses in all the rooms felt dated and weren’t very comfortable, and they were also quite high off the ground, making it difficult for my mother to get in and out of bed.We also would have appreciated if there were basic pantry items like salt and pepper available for guests. For families with little ones, it would be great to have a few more kid-friendly dishes—there was only one plastic bowl and cup we could use for our 3-year-old.Even with these issues, we had a wonderful time with friends and family, and we love staying at Destin West. With a few updates, this condo could be truly perfect!

June vacation

Overall was just okay. We usually stay in Santa Rosa or Seaside and prefer that area much better. Was a hassle getting to the beach, we stayed on the Bayside. There were no beach toys available, umbrella and chairs available were rusted and broken. Ice maker did not work, had to purchase ice everyday. Notified property manager on our first night and they never followed up. It is a very busy/touristy area not very convenient with young children. Lazy river on Bayside was nice, but would recommend own comfier floats. We have stayed in bigger newer homes for same cost, overall little disappointing and just okay, definitely would not go back.

Destin West has all you could ask for, the quiet bayside with a lazy river and large pool. The resort is beautiful and well kept! The complex has a walk over bridge from the bayside to the gulf side beach, a very nicely equipped gym, with well kept grounds and a great dock for fishing! The resort is conveniently located near restaurants, entertainment and family activities! The rental management company, Destin West Condos, is quick to help when something is needed and the associates are friendly and courteous! Top notch customer service! We can’t wait to return next year! Would highly recommend to family and friends!

Fabulous Penthouse Condo/ Great Management Company

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved staying here! This penthouse unit has been fabulously remodeled! It has a spiral staircase leading to the private rooftop! You can see both the bayside and the gulf side while lounging in the sun or grilling your evening meal! The unit was clean and comfortable! Unacceptable

The location was nice. The AC and the Refrigerator broke down three days prior to our check out. We were forced to discard food that we bought for the family. Because the AC did not work, the room was uncomfortably warm and stuffy. Management and the Owner were made aware of the problem and no one fixed the problem. Need I say more!

Ronald, thank you for your feedback. We were made aware of the issue on Thursday morning (the day after you first experienced these issues) and had someone out to fix the A/C issue on Saturday morning. Unfortunately, this was after your stay ended but was unavoidable due to a part that was not available. We did find out on Saturday that the recent storm caused a power failure in the main part of the building that caused several applicances to go out. Our operations manager came by on Thursday afternoon as promised but we were unable to get anyone to come to the door. We were able to repair the fridge and would have been happy to bring you a replacement but were under the understanding that you would not need this due to checking out the next day. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused you and hope that despite these issues you will give Destin West another shot. Take care.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was clean, the penthouse and balcony could use some power washing and minor repairs. The HDMI cord was broken/ pulled out of the TV, I purchased one from Walmart. TV would not pick up signal from COX cable.Enjoyed our stay this is the fourth time I have rented a condo at Destin West using different options, realators etc.
