The Rusty Lantern Cabin is a luxurious lodge nestled in the woods of Hocking Hills on 57 acres of private acreage while still remaining close to Logan restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The cabin boasts 4 comfortable bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, large living spaces, and a magnificent kitchen. Traveling is a breeze when you stay with us as the cabin is fully equipped with great amenities. Property offers game room, outdoor hot tub, fire pit, and hiking trails. State Parks, lakes, canoe & kayaking, ziplining and so much more all located within a short distance from the property.

10 minutes down the road, guests will find Lake Logan which offers an abundance of relaxation by the water. Take a 15-20 minute drive from your cabin to visit Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle’s Hollow, or Rock Bridge located in Hocking Hills State Park. No matter the season, you and your guests won’t be disappointed when visiting all the beauty Hocking Hills offers!

Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends. The Rusty Lantern is located 5 miles from Logan and 12 miles to Nelsonville, Ohio. The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville’s Historic Square Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. On the opposite side of Nelsonville is Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest.

This was a last minute weekend getaway and we were lucky to find this property. We really enjoyed our stay. The game room in the basement was enjoyable as was the covered deck with hot tub, especially in the rainy weather. The hot tub definitely needs serviced as the “jets” buttons don’t all work, but we made the best of it. S’mores by the fire pit was also fun. Overall we had a great stay!

The WiFi did not work at all our whole stay! The air conditioner would be cool in the morning but then couldn’t keep up it would be 80 by afternoon. The beds were so uncomfortable. The hot tub jets barely worked. There is only a gas grill and we had a hard time getting it to light. Other than that we had a nice time. For the price we would probably stay somewhere else next time.

Great experience overall easy checking in and check out. The views were amazing, the cabin overall was amazing. Sent a lot of time in the hot tub. A fun stay, great place to spend a honeymoon, very secluded and intimate. The ride up was a bit Rocky but we were informed ahead of time. Will definitely visit again and recommend to our friends and family.

Clean and cozy. Very enjoyable, as advertised. Initially confusing finding the cabin itself, but that was more on the GPS telling us we arrived, but actually still needed to drive a little further up the hill (past the first 2 cabins you actually see)

When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville's Historic Square Arts District, Stuart's Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. On the opposite side of Nelsonville is Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest. Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends.
