Easy Beach access, HOT TUB, kid & pet-friendly playroom. 3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 7-8

Lovely, unique, kid-friendly and pet-friendly house with a kid playroom. 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 4 adults and some small kids. It can fit adults too but we hesitate for all adults due to parties. Hot tub for 6. Please rinse off before getting in with the hose next to it. You will be charged for a empty and refill if it turns green. Guests to the small house behind this house can walk by the hot tub. There is no way around this. You have your own patio but they also walk by this. This is a community yard.

Heat for the house- The gas stove is controlled with a wall thermostat. And there are wall heaters in most rooms. Extra portable heater in the closet for winter use in the dining room.

Come enjoy our kid-friendly, charming, and lovely home just 1 minute walk from the beach and 3 minutes drive to the city center. You can listen to the sounds of the ocean from the front porch, and enjoy the sunset (assuming there is no fog).

This cute and quirky house is perfect for a family or a few couples. This kid-friendly, dog-friendly home provides standard conveniences and an excellent location near the heart of town. Please note this area is a community feel. Multiple fisherman cabins (now regular) houses are on the property. Guests of the back house will walk by the large patio. So sometimes you will see other guests. They have their own patio.

The great room features a propane stove for cozy nights, multiple seating options with a reclining couch, and a 58" Smart TV.

There is a historic train that comes by for tourists to enjoy. You will hear it a few times a day during the warmer seasons. You can wave to the people on board, which makes for a little nostalgia and joy. During the summer, on clear nights you can see the stars. It’s amazing. The smell of the ocean is also one of our favorite highlights. While you are sleeping you can crack the windows and hear the sounds of the ocean.


Our house is 100 years old and due to the layout, we are unable to offer a washer and dryer for your use. If you have an extended stay we can bring you fresh towels.

Parking is available for two cars to the left of the house, two cars deep. Please see the parking signs for Cottage. Do not park in Bungalow spot.

Side note: Our HOT TUB maintenance occurs every Tues. If you happen to be staying here during that day we are sorry for the inconvenience. The good news is that they don't take long, and it heats up quickly. This is our way of keeping your vacation the best it can be!

We try to keep our vacation rental as child-friendly as possible. That said, parents always have the final responsibility of ensuring their children’s safety at all times. If you find anything to be unsafe or that requires revision at our property, please let us know

MAIN LEVEL: ENTRY-LEVEL:

Living Room: Smart TV, Netflix, Roku. We have a couch with a moveable ottoman and a coffee table that turns into a footstool. Also, there are two chairs that are easy to move around to suit your lifestyle. Extra blankets in the closet for winter if needed.

Kitchen: Standard kitchen amenities, including microwave, toaster, blender, pots, pans, some spices and condiments, and coffee and coffee maker. BBQ out side for large house use only.

Dining Room: We have an oval table that seats 6. Because it’s a 1920’s house this is a little tight, but you can still enjoy the company. You can play games here as well. The games are located in the playroom upstairs.

Bedroom 1: One Queen Bed, One Full Bathroom that you must go through the master bedroom to get to. However, there is a bathroom conveniently located at the top of the stairs. There is a closet with extra bedding if you get cold. There is also a fan in the closet in case you get toasty.

UPPER LEVEL:
Bedroom 2: One King Bed, with a small dresser.

Bedroom 3: One King Bed, with a small closet.

Upstairs Common area: Two Twin Beds (pull-out day bed) and a small TV for the kids to watch a movie.

Hallway: One-Half Bath (bathtub only and toilet) that is attached to the day room..

We would like to discuss the house cleaning fee, hot tub fee and pet fees. We understand these fees are frustrating. We are only charging what we are charged to maintain the property. We love our house keeper and she works hard. We would prefer to have someone we trust and be there for our guests if needed in an emergency situation. Because of the fees we do try and keep our nightly prices lower then the other properties this close to the beach. Thank you for your understanding.

What's nearby: Situated a 3-minute walk from the beach and just a few blocks from the shops and restaurants of central Rockaway Beach, this home makes it easy to explore everything the area has to offer. Spend an afternoon combing the beach for interesting artifacts - if you head south, you'll see the highly photographed Twin Rocks, which lie just offshore. For those looking to go a bit farther, Lake Lytle is just over one mile to the north. Go for a hike in Twin Rocks County Park just under four miles away, or head 13 miles south to Tillamook and tour the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory or wine tasting at the Blue Heron French Cheese Company. There are also nearby options for crabbing or boating.

Dog-friendly. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, select ‘Yes’ to pets, and the nightly pet fee will be included in your quote. If bringing your dog please be mindful of barking as this is a quiet neighborhood.

Quiet time is 9pm in this neighborhood. Parties will not be tolerated. Please be mindful of our neighbors. This is a house for a relaxing getaway and to recharge and create wonderful family memories. If bringing kids we ask that you stay in the yard near the big house. When the train comes by, the kids will love running to the train! Our neighbors understand this.

There is a guest house bungalow in the back that can be rented separately or with the bigger front cottage. The entry to the bungalow is through the main yard/driveway.

Beach Access: Just a short 1 minute walk to the beautiful, 7-mile sandy beach.
