Willkommen im Lakeside Caboose, das sich im wunderschönen Rockaway Beach befindet! Eingebettet zwischen Lake Lytle und dem Pazifik war diese helle und luftige Hütte historisch das letzte Haus am Rande der Stadtgrenze von Rockaway, was den Namen The Lakeside Caboose inspirierte. Das Haus bietet Platz für bis zu acht Gäste in drei Schlafzimmern im Erdgeschoss (King, King w / Etagenbett und eine Königin) mit zwei Badezimmer. Im Obergeschoss finden Sie einen einladenden offenen Raum mit herrlichem Blick auf den See im Osten und das Meer im Westen. Die Küche und das Wohnzimmer befinden sich ebenfalls im zweiten Stock, mit einer seitlich angebrachten Badewanne. Die Hütte wurde 2019 komplett umgestaltet, hat aber dennoch Vintage-Charme mit einem Kaminofen aus den 1950er Jahren in der vom Bauernhaus inspirierten Küche bewahrt. Wir haben ein Fernglas für die Walbeobachtung zur Verfügung, oder Sie können sogar die ansässigen Weißkopfseeadler beobachten, die auf der anderen Seite des Sees nisten.

Während Ihres Aufenthalts in Rockaway Beach sollten Sie unbedingt aussteigen und die Geschäfte und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe des Highway 101 erkunden. Sie werden in der Lage sein, das perfekte Souvenir für Freunde und Familie zu Hause zu finden. Sie können auch den Strand erkunden oder im See angeln, bringen Sie also Ihre Angelausrüstung mit! Restful Family Spot

The house is in a great location, within walking distance to the public dock on the lake for the boys to walk and fish every day. So close to the beach to easily spend the evenings enjoying the sunset and wonderful views. Centrally located to easily visit tillamook, cannon beach, or other nearby sites. Downtown rockaway is so close and has plenty of great shops and don’t forget to stop at pronto pup and ride the corn dog!

Great place close to the beach! Well stocked and clean with space to relax between beach trips. I would add that it’s close to the highway and train tracks, so that can be loud. I would also suggest a longer welcome mat as we did drop the key through the porch a couple of times and had to crawl under and get it. Charming vintage cute and perfect for staying in Rockaway.

Overall a nice weekend getaway. Upon arrival the house smelled musty. We had to open all the windows. While it does have new floors and paint the furniture is dated as well as the appliances. The fireplace is a plug in electric feature and did not work for us. Great views of beach and lake. Easy to walk to beach. Cute town.

Our second stay here. We all had a relaxing stay and we’re very comfortable. Lots of cozy blankets for those cold wet ocean days. Kitchen is well appointed and easy to navigate. Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

Great property

We enjoyed our stay here, we picked this house because of the large tables and large kitchen, so we could have my parents and brothers family over for dinners while we all stayed in Rockaway. The only thing we missed having was a bbq (we didn’t realize there wasn’t one when we booked). The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for us. Everything was clean.

Excellent Place to Stay!

The house is located close to the beach, is quiet, well-stocked, and has great views. Close to stores and shops. The property has A LOT of stairs to get in and to the main living area. I wish I had known that. My elderly parents found this very challenging. That’s the one downside. Overall, a great trip and nice place to stay!

Great rental with views

Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds which is critical. Views are fabulous, can see lake on one side and ocean on other! Great family rental, would absolutely rent again. VERY close to beach, easy beach access down the street. Right near 101 and there is some road noise, but only when it's totally quiet outside and only occasionally. It was not a factor, but given its location, wanted to mention this in case it was a concern for someone considering this home.

Reviewer Comments: First impression was that I wished it had been noted that there are several sets of stairs to climb to enter the home, as it’s set upon a hill above the street. Unloading cars was harder than expected but we did ok. The home is very well kept, clean and comfortable. Beds were all very comfortable and there were PLENTY of extra blankets, linens and towels. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you’d need from cooking and baking dishes to spices and lots of glasses and silverware. Plenty of seating upstairs- two tables allowed us to have a puzzle spread out on one and still have lots of seating around the large table. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance, go by street or beach! We had an amazing getaway and wished we could have stayed longer!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I stayed during the summer of 2020 and again this summer. Last year the home was spotless. This year there was garbage under beds, sand everywhere (even on shelves) and ants in the kitchen. The bedspread in the master bedroom had a 2 foot tear in it. It also appeared that a new bed frame was being used in the master bedroom, but that it didn't have proper support (slats). It was very uncomfortable compared to the prior year and even had a bunch of chairs stored underneath that my husband and I stubbed our toes on many times. It was really disappointing compared to how great it was the previous year. One thing I would note though is that none of the bedrooms have proper closets or dressers to store your clothing. For me, that's annoying, but others may not mind.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, a block from the beach/trail, and super easy lakefront access!! Great set up with sleeping quarters downstairs, living space upstairs, and bathrooms on each level! I think every decade from the 40's till now was covered in some fashion with appliances/furniture/decor! I loved it! Kitchen is very well stocked and personally I loved the "vintage" appliances, cookware and gadgets (work better than today's mass production!) However, if you are used to teflon cooking, might want to bring some pans.The bed in the "master" was insanely comfortable! Supportive, but felt like I was sleeping on a cloud!Short of a crockpot, there was NOTHING we needed we couldn't find in the house! Sand toys, marble run and lots of games to entertain on rainy days! Last minute booking when our planned rental found termites. Julie worked on her day off to assure we had everything we needed. She was genuinely friendly! Highly recommend this place and this company!

Decent stay for decent price

Nice little house with room enough for 7 people, primarily adults. Furnishings were not the best, but did the job. Great lication close to beach, but not actually on the beach. Overall solid house at a readonable rate for what we were looking for.
