Other things to note
We offer a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. River Haven House is filled with original art, primarily from local artists. Our WiFi tends to be a little unreliable – given that we are out in the country.

We've had several inquiries about using River Haven House as a Wedding venue. It's a great place for 8 guests who plan to attend a wedding ceremony & reception in the area. We can handle up to about 15 people for a small intimate gathering. However, we do not have the permits, parking, or facilities for a larger group, such as a wedding reception. Also, outdoor amplified music is, in essence, not allowed. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Picture perfect

The property was perfect. In hindsight, I wish we had spent more time on the grounds instead of driving around the valley. This is a wonderful getaway for anyone, couples or families. The house, the gardens, the river, all beautiful. We look forward to another stay.

River Haven Heaven.

Sharon and Stan provided a fantastic experience in a beautiful setting. No need to visit the Portland Rose Gardens because you get it all on the property. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of places to spread out and relax. Great for a family gathering. 5 star all the way.

Beautiful

This place is everything it promises and more: comfortable, beautiful, peaceful, and fun. We prepared a great Thanksgiving meal in their gourmet kitchen, played games in the living room with a roaring fire, took long walks in the fresh country air, and we even went out on the river in a fabulous canoe. It is a stunning home on an outstanding property, and your hosts have literally thought of everything.

Wonderful location in wine country

My family stayed at River Haven House for a wedding weekend at a nearby winery. The house and grounds are beautiful and fit our needs perfectly. Stan and Sharon even put a ramp at the front stairs so my mother could have easy access using her walker. She was also able to use the bedroom/bathroom that is downstairs. We were busy with activities elsewhere so we didn’t have a lot of down time to enjoy this fabulous tranquil setting on the river. That will be for our next stay!

Beautiful property!

We had the best stay at River Raven House. Stan and Sharon could not have been better hosts. They were communicative, quick to respond, and made our stay feel welcome. They even allowed us to have a small wedding ceremony and have 15 of our closest family members out for dinner one of the nights in the backyard. RRH is on a stunning property, with a huge back yard. It was the perfect back drop for our ceremony and our dinner outside. The home on the inside is just as beautiful! We would love to come back and stay for a longer weekend!

Heaven on Earth!

River Haven House is a magical place made even more magical by the loving owners! We were were stunned upon arrival at it's beautiful location and then completely enchanted with everything about the property and home. Each room was lovely, the art fantastic, and the owners lavished us with homemade treats and wine yet completely gave us our privacy. The most incredible and beautiful experience ever

There are not enough kind words that can be said about Sharon and Stan and their property. It’s absolutely stunning, and you feel like you’re transported to another world. Sharon has spent 32 years planting all of the flowers, of which there are 1,000 rose bushes all around the property. It’s the most idealistic view of the river, and the grounds are kept immaculate. The house is so comfortable; each bed is very comfortable and fit our family perfectly. It’s well-stocked and just an amazing experience overall, and I could not recommend this listing and Sharon and Stan more. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement. I am eternally grateful for my stay here at River House.

Wine Country Gem

My family had a magical experience at River Haven House. We were in Wilsonville for my daughters horse shows and the location was perfect for getting her to the show park while being just a short 20-30 minute drive from the heart of Oregon’s famed Willamette Valley. This property was the best equipped and managed place we have ever stayed, and the owners (who conveniently live next door) have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. We love to cook, and the kitchen is as good as their listing! Spending time kayaking in the river, followed by wine in the veranda, was a great way to wind down. We cannot wait to visit again

Stan and Sharon are the most tremendous, thoughtful, and communicative hosts. They were willing to work with me to make our small wedding reception happen on their property, and coordinated details with me months ahead of time. They welcomed myself and my family at the property before our rental to get a feel for the space and see the event materials they had on hand (lawn games, tables, chairs). The property itself is like a dream — gardens bursting with flowers, berries, and vegetables, the Willamette River rolling slowly by, and gorgeously furnished guest rooms! Stan and Sharon were so helpful and hands-on throughout the entire planning process for our weekend event, and even assisted us in getting the event equipment from their barn to the main house. Sharon lead a floral arranging session with myself and several friends where we got to pick roses, snapdragons, zinnias, and many other flowers from her garden and arrange them into table settings. My whole family had a blast here and I couldn’t have asked for a better location and hosts for my wedding reception. Thank you to River Haven House for making our dreams come true!

If I could give more stars, I would. Stan and Sharon deserve ALL the stars for their amazing property and hosting skills. The place is stunningly beautiful, restful, and luxurious. The best equipped kitchen I've ever rented anywhere, anytime. But the star of the show is the lovely hosts. Attentive, but not overbearing. Available, generous, kind. Wow. We had a week surrounding our daughter's wedding. The venue was offsite, but long-traveled family enjoyed the fabulous beds and the bride and bridesmaids got ready there. Pictures of the wedding party on the property are eye-popping! And don't even get me started on all the beautiful flowers and how Stan and Sharon made their facility available to us to assist our sis-in-law florist with her duties. Highly recommend!

August 2021 Review: "This place is amazing! No matter what you expectations are, they will be exceeded. Fabulous well appointed house, beautiful settings, lush gardens everywhere. We had our daughter's birthday party here, and it was magical. Hosts were attentive from initial booking through our departure, making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you so much Stan and Sharon for making everything so special."
July 2021 Review: "Photos simply do not do this home justice. We absolutely LOVED our time at River Haven House. It was beyond what I could have hoped for. The serenity of the setting, the attention to detail and how meticulous everything was throughout the house amazed me. It truly felt like we were guests in our favorite family members home.

We spent hours on the veranda enjoying the views, relaxing together and feeling incredibly spoiled. All the bedrooms were comfortable and it was easy to see how every detail had been so thought through. Stan & Sharon are the consummate hosts. While they live next door they were very discreet and only said hi when we practically begged them to.

Bottom line - we will be back again! PS - the fact that you totally and completely feel like you are in another world but are only 30-40 minutes out of Portland is priceless. The fact that we did not have to spend hours and hours of our weekend in transit was a massive plus! Instead, we got to enjoy your time, start the wine flowing and take in the beauty of the estate."
