Our cabin is located on 15 wooded acres and is surrounded by nature, so insects and bugs are part of the experience, particularly after an unusually rainy period. We have fully treated the property, but the excessive amount of rain has made the treatment less effective this year. We contacted you using our personal phone number the day before your arrival. We always encourage our guests to call or text us during their stay if they experience any issue. We do not want to intrude on our guests while they are enjoying their vacation, but we are always available and happy to help when needed. We are sorry to hear about the noise in the basement bedroom. Had we been made aware of it during your stay, we would have gladly looked into it and done our best to resolve the issue at the time. Regarding the comments about the property being outdated, these are odd since we have recently completed a number of updates, including improvements to the porch, gazebo, and furniture, and we continue to heavily invest in maintaining and improving the property. At the same time, we intentionally preserve the warm, rustic character and feel of a cabin surrounded by woods rather than making it feel like a modern hotel. We take our guests’ comfort seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address these concerns.
