Relax in peace away from the masses. Quiet rural neighborhood a true hidden gem. After your West Virginia adventure, come back to your vacation home on 12.97 acres of Groovy Meadow to relax, relax, relax! Extremely comfortable country home with three bedrooms and one bath. Dinner seating for eight. New Pioneer mini split HVAC units that are highly efficient for your comfort. Front porch for seating as well as in the backyard with new deck featuring 3 seating areas with room for the whole family. Fire pit and slide for loads of fun. All of these are private areas for the occupants of the house. There is additional acreage and a fire pit, shelter and trail on the highest hill on the property. There are three hammock chairs, and bench under the shelter.
There are 12.97 acres of beautiful West Virginia Rolling hills and Woodland to explore. Please remain within the fence line of the property. Walk the nature trail through the Woodlands at the top of the mountain. Caution travel at your own risk nature is as dangerous as it is beautiful West Virginia has a vast wild life population act wisely . The Woodlands on the lower portion of the property or unexplored. Travel at your own risk!
Visit the top side at night to s t a r g a z e at the beautiful West Virginia sky! Bring a flash light. We have a shelter, trampoline and disk golf station for your enjoyment.

Our rural community is centrally located to multiple Adventure companies, State parks, Historical Tours, shopping and dining.
The driveway is steep and it is not recommended during inclement weather without 4 wheel drive. Additional parking spots have been added at the top of the driveway.
There are three security cameras in use on the property. Two are ring doorbells. The first is on the right outside corner of the front porch. The second is on the left outside corner of the back deck.The third is mounted on right front corner or the roof, it is adjustable to view the driveway top to bottom.

Great stay at the Groovy Meadows

We had a great time at this property. The owner was great and everything was there that we could have needed. Very clean and organized, it was so easy to find what we needed. The new deck was great, I we will be back for a warmer time to enjoy everything the property has to offer.

Pure Bliss!!

We absolutely loved everything about this place!! The location is so peaceful and the views are amazing and so relaxing. I loved all the attention to detail throughout the house. We loved sitting on the deck watching the deer in the mornings and evenings. We’ll definitely be coming back! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

Weekend hiking trip

Property as described, great communication with host. Well organized and everything you could possibly need is there. Our grandson enjoyed the trampoline! It was a great location for our trip to New river gorge and Babcock state park. The foliage was at its prime. Would recommend.

Visiting family and fun time

Lisa was amazing to work with she got back to me very quickly which i truly appreciated. Her home was so beautiful and clean. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay and plan to stay at her home in the future. We did have one misfortune we had a wind storm come through while we were there that caused the power to go off. The only thing that i would suggest is to have some kind of back up heater as it got really cold since the power stayed off all night. Again the misfortune was out of the owners control and we weather through it just fine. Lisa was very apologetic and apologized for the inconvenience which was very sweet of her. Lisa thank you for being so kind and helpful. I pray God richly blesses you and your family.

The property was clean and fairly well stocked. I would have liked a baking dish but it wasn’t crucial. Nice big living room and kitchen. Unfortunately the Futons were not comfortable to sleep on. So my sister shared the trundle beds with her granddaughter. Sleeping 6 is pushing it a bit. Bring your fuzzy socks and flannel PJs to sleep in the one full size bed. That front room doesn’t have heat. But there was plenty of blankets and the bed was comfortable. My real challenge was the pictures and description didn’t show the extreme slope of the driveway and property. My mom or anyone with walking issues would not be able get around very easily. However my grandniece had a great time playing on the hills and in the bit of snow we had. It looked like the owners were in the process of remodeling/upgrading. So improvements will be a big plus. Can’t wait to see it after.

Thank you for your stay Launa! We are fortunate to have a dedicated and efficient cleaning crew. There is a baking sheet, I will add a label to direct guests to the location. I am sorry you were cold in the master bedroom with the queen size bed. There is a heat vent in every room, this room is the farthest from the furnace. Guests have 100% control of the thermostat to adjust to your comfort. Our home is centrally located in the West Virginia mountains. Our pictures and description show mountain ranges as well as a mountain trail on our property. I appreciate your input and will add a picture of the driveway to better inform our guests of what to expect.. Our sleeping arrangement actually sleeps 8 people. We limit it to 6 because we currently have 1 bathroom. We have 1 queen, 2 single memory foam beds and 2 futons. Each futon is rated for 2 people @ 500+ lbs. We have added extra futon mattresses to add comfort. Thank you for your review! We strive to continually improve our guests home away from home experience. We hope you will visit again!

Peaceful WVA stay

Everything about this rental was as expected. I had good communication with the host. The ekey was easy to use. (It was my first time using ekey so I was a little nervous about it, but it worked well). The house was clean. They had everything I would want in a rental. There was a tv with different streaming channels. There were plenty of sleeping areas. Clean towels and clean linens were plentiful. Everything for our use was clearly labeled. The outside property was absolutely beautiful. I was hoping to see deer but we did not. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils and cookware. I really didn't get to use all that it offered but it's nice to know that it is there. The things we didn't use (but had we been there longer, I'm sure we would've) were the washer/dryer, the grill and the firepit. Honestly, this was a very positive VRBO experience. We chose this place because it accommodated our family of 6, and because it is relatively close to the New River Gorge area which drew us to this area.

Property mostly as pictured

Double wide trailer home was mostly clean. The toaster, microwave and countertops were covered in some sticky blue substance. Microwave was dirty inside. Easily cleaned up but it should have been handled by the cleaning crew prior to our arrival. 3rd bedroom is advertised but not pictured, it is the size of a large closet, futon listed in room is also not pictured and is extremely small not anywhere near the size of the one picture as it would likely take up the entire "room". We did not need a 3rd room but for anyone counting on a 3rd room they would be very shocked to find what amounts to a large closet with what I would consider a very small couch not even close to the size of the futon pictured. Not suitable to be considered a place to sleep in my opinion. Trundle beds are as pictured, futon in same room is as pictured as are the other pictured items. Evidence of rodent activity was found on our last day when we were getting trash bags from under the kitchen sink area. I though I had heard the tell tale scratching sounds in the early morning hours one night but shrugged it off. I wasn't overly shocked as the property abuts a wooded area and that is just to be expected. If you are the squeamish type this might not be the place for you. In my opinion the best feature of the property is the large fenced area that has amazing trails. If you have an interest in hiking/walking this property would be worth it just for that access alone. Directions/rules are posted on the refrigerator but are incomplete. The remaining rules are scattered about and it is up to the renter to locate them all and adhere. As with most properties there is a ring camera on site that will be used to monitor activity.

Hellp Nina, Thank you for your response. Our Cleaning crew is usually impeccable and cannot explain the blue substance. All aspects of the property are disclosed on VRBO. The 3rd bedroom is as shown on the site, with pictures of the futon in the sofa and bed position, rated for 500 lbs. The bedroom has a TV, closet, ottoman to store bedding, a lamp table and two tables for guest personal use. It is a small bedroom, more than adequate for sleeping one or two people. My cleaning crew has since checked for rodent activity, fortunately no evidence. We will further monitor the situation. Our home is located on 12.97 acres, about half is beautiful wooded area. Our property is great for nature lovers. We are glad you had time to enjoy the trails and the top side of the property. We found a need for signage and labeling when multiple guests have the same question. Many guests have found the labels were more efficient than messaging, Our Ring camera is located to give maximum privacy to our guests, yet have proper security. We strive to continuously improve the home away from home experience through feedback such as yours. Thank you!
