This immaculately maintained 2-bedroom 2 bath Menehune Shores resort condominium has everything you need to relax in Maui. The corian and stainless-steel kitchen is perfect for dining in. The ground floor location allows easy access to the beach. The 2nd bedroom has twin bunk beds perfect for kids (max weight of 150 lbs) and a queen bed. The master bedroom has a king bed to relax in after a fun day on the beach or hiking in the nearby mountains. Incredible sunsets, fantastic sheltered beach, and a roof top deck for whale watching across the whole bay with picnic tables and barbecues! Menehune Shores is a unique Kihei gem sitting right on the ocean at Kalepolepo Beach overlooking a rebuilt Hawaiian fishpond and sheltered beach. The Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale Sanctuary is also next to the resort. It is the perfect choice for families, couples, and friends.

The unit is well stocked with kitchen ware and appliances, we also provide:
- beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, sorry no snorkeling gear,
- a toiletries starter kit sufficient for short stay,
- a starter kit of laundry soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and kitchen cleaning supplies,
- drip coffeemaker and some coffee to get the trip started
- linens, towels, etc.

Near dining, entertainment, surfing, theaters, grocery, gasoline, activities, golf, shopping, and all south Maui has to offer. Less than 25 minutes from the airport.

Family trip to Maui

We loved being on the ground floor with easy access to the pool and beach. Incredible sunsets every night, cooked dinner on the grills, convenient driving to all of the places we wanted to go.

Perfect location

The location was great for all the things we wanted to do and places we wanted to go while in Maui. The condo was well appointed with everything we needed including beach chairs and an umbrella! The property was just beautiful. We enjoyed such gorgeous sunsets from the beach and rooftop!

We booked the unit for a happy birthday girls retreat. The unit was well maintained and equipped for families. The menehune lagoon was great for all ages to enjoy the ocean in a safe manner. We had a wonderful holiday and would book another visit.

Perfect Spot in Kihei

This condo was perfect for our family of 4. Tons of room, the condo was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The view from the lanai was great....even watched whales breaching from here. The beach was literally steps away. Great place to watch turtles sleeping on the rocks too. Central location for exploring different areas of the island. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Nice condo complex. It's in a great spot. There are a lot of condo vacation rentals on the water, on this part of the beach. The sea turtle sanctuary is right next door and there's a restaurant just next to the main office in the building.Liked having the bottom floor, but there's no way to lock the door if you leave from the back porch. First floor is beneficial in that you don't have to rely on the elevator. Last I stayed at Menehune Shores, the elevator was out of service.There's a view of the water from one corner of the porch.The neighbors can be noisy.The road noise though- that was terrible. I'm half deaf and it was very loud, so much so that we had to keep windows and doors shut most of the time. This unit is one apartment from the road and has foot traffic through a ROW just in front of the patio.I don't think the floors have ever been washed. The picture is after walking on the floor for about an hour.Parking was fine. The front office wasn't open at all while we were there so no check in or out.Lots of beach stuff in the unit! Towels, umbrella, beach toys, chairs, ice packs, coolers. We rented a wagon and boogie board from a local gal.The king bed in the master is devine. It took me about a minute and a half to fall asleep each night.Washer/drier works great but takes ages- 3 hours.Has pots, pans, ziplock bags too.Thanks for letting us stay!!

Kihei ground floor condo

Great place with beach views and lots of whale watching and sea turtle activity from shore. Convenient to bus route up and down south Kihei road. Strong winds made walking and pool swimming difficult unless blocked by the building. Just wish there was better roach control in the kitchen. Definitely needs a deep clean in the kitchen with an overall fumigation!

Comfortable beds

The property was clean and located in a nice area. Even though it is close to a busy street we were not bothered by traffic noise. The unit had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. The only problem we had was the stupid TV operation. Not the owner's fault but half the time we could not get the Spectrum guide to work or locate channels. It is a very frustrating system. We all enjoyed our stay.

Hot in Hawaii

Property was clean and bright. Provided all necessities needed for our week long vacation. There was no air conditioning which we just assumed there were would be in a tropical destination. Our error as we should have read the reviews closer. They did however provide multiple fans in the unit. The complex was extremely well taken care of. The pool is heated so tends to get warm by the afternoon. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Love Kihei

This was our second stay in Kihei and at the Menehune Shores Condos. It is a great location with beach on one side a swim lagoon on other side of condo building. We love the walk out location of this condo, it made returning from the beach east with an outdoor shower a few doors down. Everything you need to start the vacation is there. Only complaint is front door is heavy and the door stop was not working and was told by management that new ones were on order. This unit benefits from the crosswinds to cool down and it made for a hotter stay. Since we were out enjoying Maui it didn’t kill the vibe.

No AC !!!

This unit does not have air conditioning. It is on the ground floor one unit from the corner of the building next to the main road which is extremely noisy. Since there is no AC you have to have the doors and windows open constantly which brings in dirt and noise. We had to vacuum and dust daily then the high winds blew the smoke detector off the wall sounding the alarm at 2 am! could be solved easily with ac. I would not stay there again although there is a great restaurant

No AC!

NO AC!! Everyone around the unit had AC. Ground floor unit is hot as ever with pavement all around. Pictures are VERY deceiving for this condo unit! Waffles left in the toaster from the last guests, the bedroom was way too hot so we tried to sleep in the living room but the hide a bed was LOCKED, who does that? Ask the property manager and he said he couldn't do anything for us. Would not recommend this place to anyone and we vacated the unit after one night!!

The unit has never been advertised as having AC nor is it advertised as having a hide a bed. The guest was irate because they expected AC. They insisted that we should have told them that there was no AC after they booked even though we don't advertise it as having AC. The photos are exactly of the unit and the grassy grounds directly outside the walkout lanai/balcony.

Excellent time!

First time staying at a VRBO in Hawaii and it was the best experience with families. Love the resort experience but lack of a full kitchen makes it tough. This place has everything you need to make you feel like you’re at home while being on vacation. No need to deal with a busy lobby or a big parking garage, which is a huge deal with tired toddlers.

Wonderful Property

My group was very impressed with this property and its location. Kihei is located further away from the massively expensive tourist locations, but well within driving distance of everything you want to do and see in Maui. Make sure to rent snorkle equipment and explore the beach right outside of this condo. It is shallow and the perfect place to swim with turtles and view beautiful coral. We found eels, whole families of turtles, iconic tropical fish and, if you swim out far enough, the largest coral I've ever seen. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the host provided almost everything we needed for a great day on the beach. We had chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach towels, kids toys, and more. This condo definitely enhanced our vacation. I'd highly recommend this to my family and friends.
