As clearly noted in our listing, we are located in the heart of downtown Mystic, steps from the waterfront, restaurants, shops, and nightlife, and guests should expect some residual nighttime noise from nearby restaurants, bars, and downtown activity, particularly on busy weekends. The type of noise you reference is extremely rare. And as we do with all guests, we specifically asked you to call or text us if the noise became disruptive so that we could address it immediately, including contacting the police if necessary. Unfortunately, we were never contacted about a noise issue during your stay and therefore we were not given the opportunity to intervene. We take our guests’ comfort very seriously, but this is a downtown property and some ambient nightlife activity comes with the convenience of staying in the center of Mystic. We encourage prospective guests to consider our clearly disclosed location and noise information before booking. For guests who value being able to walk to everything downtown Mystic has to offer, we believe the location is exceptional; those requiring complete nighttime silence may be more comfortable outside the downtown area.
