Hono Kai A16 is a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo that offers 1 window A/C located in the bedroom, additionally, there is easy ground-floor access. Unit A16 can accommodate up to 4 guests. The master bedroom is equipped with a king-size bed and a ceiling fan. For additional sleeping space, there is a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living area and a Smart TV for your entertainment. The bathroom is located by the front door and offers a walk-in tile shower stall with an opaque glass divider. Sliding doors separate the living room and bedroom to maximize the effectiveness of the A/C system. Dine in on your private lanai listening to nature's melodies while enjoying the tropical surroundings, or there is plenty of seating inside at the bar. The kitchen features beautiful cabinets and granite countertops.

Hono Kai is a beachfront property where you can enjoy a 6-mile stretch of beach with views of Haleakala and Kaho'olawe, an oceanfront pool, and BQQ areas. Additionally, there is a coin-operated laundry facility for your convenience. Hono Kai is located at Ma'alaea Bay near many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Walk to the Aquarium, enjoy exciting activities from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to either side of the island. There are no resort or parking fees.

Loved Our Stay

Our Condo was lovely, comfortable with an excellent location to the ocean beach. Enjoyed the patio table/chairs for breakfasts .Also the ground floor was perfect for my husband who uses a walker. We will definitely ask for this condo again when we vacation here in the future.

We had a great time!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The condo is located in central Maui and it was very convenient for us since we want to explore both south and north part of the island. The place has everything we needed! From towels, beach chairs, kitchen utensils and cooler. We are definitely coming back again next time!

Perfect Location

Great stay

We loved that the unit was really clean which is the most important thing to us. It's a quiet peaceful place. We found a few maintenance issues, but MyPerfectStays said they would address those. The kitchen utensils could be improved upon. We would have liked to see more Tupperware and nonstick pots and pans with lids. Overall a great stay!

Amazing condo

This condo has amazing location. Right from your lanai you can access the pool and the beach. Condo is very well stocked with everything you need. You are provided beach towels, beach mats, chairs and a cooler. Condo is very clean. MyPerfectStays team was regularly checking on us via messages asking if everything is OK and if we need anything. I highly recommend MyPerfectStays.

Close to everything

Overall the experience was simple. Property close to wherever you want to go. It’s very dark inside, always have to have lights on. The shower hot water isn’t very hot.

Perfect beach access

We had a great time at this property with just steps to the beach and pool. It was also close enough to airport, restaurants, harbor, etc. We saw lots of turtles in the water and even a couple whales off in the distance. The only downsides are that you cannot have the tv in the master bed area and have the sliding doors closed at the same time (we turned it and put it in between two of them closed the one night we tried), air conditioner is noisy, and there is no baking tray/cookie sheet/pizza pan. Despite these, we would highly recommend to anyone considering :)

Beautiful Maui vacation

The condo was very comfortable and well equipped with plenty of plush towels, beach towels and beach chairs in addition to well stocked kitchen and very comfortable king sized bed. We enjoyed coffee and tea on the lanai and occasionally enjoyed our morning coffee seaside, which was about 20 yards from the back door. The grounds of the complex was ok., nothing special and a bit outdated. The pool is more like a big puddle and not very appealing, but the access to the beach is lovely and can walk down the beach for a long morning or afternoon stroll. The neighborhood is VERY quiet, which we loved! Location felt pretty central to all areas of the island and would definitely consider returning to this part of the island again. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay in the condo very much. Mahalo!

I have to say the condo was sufficient for our stay it was a bit on the dark side which. made it even darker was the lighting was very limited one of the light fixtures was broken we call for maintenance to fix it he did but he left the bulb out and never return with the new bulb not sure what happened with that the condos sleeps comfortably two there were three of us a bit cramped I would not recommend four people to that with one bathroom other than that we had a great time

Review

The property is central to the island which is great but not much within walking distance of the condo. I like to run and there was not a very long sidewalk to run along and the beach had an angle to it so running there is tough. The space is clean amenities good. One day I took a chair from the inside to the outside patio for an online meeting. The building caretaker came by within 30min to say the owner can see I have taken a chair outside and to return it back indoors. I complied and for the rest of my stay felt as though I was being watched which made me uncomfortable.

A good option on Maui

The best part about this property is definitely the management company - they are super responsive and attentive. I also appreciated the central location of this property - right in between Wailea and Lahaina, as well as close to the airport and easy access to Haleakala and major roadways. The property itself was okay - comfortable enough for two people, with the right amenities, like WiFi and a kitchen. It was fairly quiet at night, too, with the sound of the ocean in the background, if you keep the windows open. The beach outside the unit is not very swimmable but definitely amazing for a walk or a run. We didn’t need to pay the resort fees, so I’m not sure how much the value of this place would change with those (I’m also not sure what the amenities would be as we didn’t see/use any). All in all, this was a good value for the money in a central location in Maui.
